Huffed and puffed and was irritated at having to help her when she came in asking for assistance in building bouquets for our event. We spent over 200 on flowers and they broke one of our vases we brought in! She ended up purchasing a bunch of potted plants but should have gone to either Yangs or Jongs next door. BOTH ARE EXCELLENT FLORISTS, BOTH HAVE EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE but Ken's unfortunately will be the one we tell everyone to avoid from now on. Service was bad, selection was bad and vibe was bad. We got there pretty late (turns out just an hour isn't enough!) and they let us come in at a later date to finish our work, with no additional fees. There's additional space downstairs, but I didn't check it out. The employees are quite friendly, though our experience was entirely self-directed. There are plenty of people chatting while crafting; there are quite a few university students, probably due to the student discount. We ended up painting and firing three pieces. Sadly, one piece got chipped after firing. They did refire it, but we had to come back another time to pick it up. There's a pretty wide selection of ceramics, with a few "specialty" pieces, but it's worth noting they're Made in China designs, if you care about that sort of thing. Overall I would probably go back, with a bit more time in mind - there are plenty of great restaurants in the area to decompress, too!

This time, after choosing our pieces and following their six-colour guideline for children, I was confronted by a clerk who told me my ten-year-old "only needs four colours" and that "it's four when we're busy." The tone was hostile, and the reasoning made no sense. Customers pay for the piece, the studio time, and the firing. Colour limits serve no purpose beyond making it easier for the establishment to handle customers. The same employee who was rude and hostile later called to say she hadn't realized we had more than one piece and that we could use six colours after all. By then, the experience was already compromised, so we did not return. Crock A Doodle was a direct contrast. Seven minutes away. Transit-friendly. Every table stocked with the full set of thirty colours. The price of the item covers everything: paint, time, and firing. It was straightforward and worth it.

Most people hosting these parties are forced to invite their kids' friends and rush the entire experience from beginning to end with no interaction from extended family.. (grand parents,uncles, aunts) because you have a total of 15 of your favorite adults to invite... Like I said, BOGUS. This place has everything you need and at the most competitive pricing. Maria (owner) is a delight to work with! Such friendly staff and always very accommodating. Yes, you still have to rush unless you opt for extra hours above the 2hr in package, but you can bring your own food (nut free s'il-vous plait!) and as many adults as you can conjure up. The play area is ALL yours, in fact the entire facility is ALL yours for a private 2hr party!
