Rude customer service when ordering and paying, charged $5 to change one item of a dinner for 4 people. Upon returning home i saw that received the wrong item i was charged extra for. I called about that and was offered a free item during next order and rushed off the phone as i was unwilling to drive 20-30mins back to receive the correct item ordered. In fact the person on the phone (?Fanny) said its the same dish as another just add walnuts. This is unacceptable. Lovely, but never ordering here again! We will find somewhere else that is convenient. You just lost a customer for good.

I'm going to give this place 3 1/2 stars as it has a good variety of dishes and when we picked it…read moreup, the food was well packaged and hot. We had the chicken chow mein and sweet and sour pork with pineapple. The sweet and sour was fairly good - tender pork in the usual bright red sauce with lots of onions, peppers and a few pieces of pineapple. I found the sauce too sweet for my taste but the kiddo liked it! The chicken chow mein was just okay, thicker noodle that was too soft for my preference. I'm used to a drier , thinner noodle that has some crunchy bits to it. I guess when compared to Vancouver's chinese food, it's not quite on par! Well, points for being fairly quick, easy to order online and decent portions. I'll have to try more dishes to get a better sense of what this place has to offer.

Took 40 mins for pickup, not too bad especially since it's a Saturday. The lady who took our order on the phone was very nice. We ordered: vegetable fried rice without egg, Singapore fried noodle, ma Po tofu without meat, veggies in black bean sauce and corn soup without chicken. Portion sizes were pretty good. Our faves were the stir fried veggies in black bean sauce and ma po tofu. What I liked about the fried rice was that it had that smokey fried in a hot wok taste but not oily.

Sesame chicken and ginger beef blow other restaurants in Kelowna out of the water. I'm used to Chinese from Vancouver Chinatown and Richmond as I lived most of my life on the coast, I was so disappointed in the overpriced and underwhelming Chinese restaurants in Kelowna until I went to Yum Yum Tree. The restaurant itself is reminiscent of a typical Chinese restaurant. They have a huge menu but the have "combo" options that looked really great. It was priced at $12.50 for a choice of either rice or chow mein (with your choice of meat or veg) and 2 sides. I don't have a huge appetite but we ordered two combos. My combo: chow mein with veggies and beef with brocolli + dry garlic ribs. Hubby's combo: fried rice with veggies and ginger beef + lemon chicken. Servings were HUGE! We were both so surprised and overwhelmed. Everything tasted really good and we both enjoyed it a lot. We didn't finish it though -- I barely made a dent since it was a lot. Our leftovers were still good the next morning for breakfast. Service was great too. The ladies were friendly and helpful. If you're in West Kelowna and craving for Chinese food, definitely try this place out.
