The menu is split into appetizers, tempura, soup/noodle, salad, grill/dishes, classic rolls, special rolls, sashimi, nigiri, dinner combinations and Momo tray combos. There was also a few special rolls, don katsu and chicken karaage. - Brussel sprouts ($5.25) - these were excellently fried but completely oversauced. I'd order it again but sauceless. - Niku gyoza ($6.50 for 6) - pan fried, homemade meat dumplings. These had a thin skin and were lightly fried. Standard. - Eskimo roll ($6.00 for 6) - crab, fried yam, cucumber, avocado, radish and smoked salmon. I wasn't a fan of the fried yam; not fresh nor crispy. Smoked salmon was a very small, thin portion. Crab was the best thing about these rolls. - Toro ($2.75), sake ($2.25), saba ($2.50), tamago ($2.00), unagi ($2.50) and hotate nigiri ($2.75) - the unagi and tamago were the best out of the 6 we tried. I really appreciate that you can "mix and match" menu items, choosing a broth, noodle type, and toppings from different parts of the menu. We got original tonkotsu, and Yuzu shio but with vegetarian toppings. Noodles are just the right firmness, and the broth is well balanced, not too rich, not too salty. Note that their chicken and pork chashu is not made using the authentic way. They do not use pork belly for the chashu. It is not the one you typically get at ramen from bigger cities or Japan. The chicken is basically regular seasoned chicken breast and the chashu is basically pork shoulder. The one I am used to is where they take the pork belly, season it and then roll it up. It is not the case here. The noodle was tasty but not wow and you can tell that it was freshly made in house. Broth was ok. But hey this is the only ramen place in Kelowna (2023) at the moment. Inside is ran by Japanese people. Chicken Karaage ramen 3.5 stars Ebi Wonton Ramen 1.5 stars Death by Chicken Karaage 4 stars. I am giving this place 4 stars because it is located in Kelowna. If this restaurant was located down in the coast (Vancouver) or any big city than I would give it 2 stars. Also I do find that the quality of food was not very consistent.
