I have sought help through support groups, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), spiritual practice, and rigorous self-discipline. While these methods have aided me in one way or another, I have never experienced a method as effective as the one that Andrew practices. For most my life, I have experienced a level of depression and anxiety that ranges from general discomfort, to panic attacks and fight or flight responses. These symptoms are rooted in past trauma. Though I had a thorough knowledge and understanding of the way that my past was still affecting the way that I respond to life, I felt hopeless. In the months leading up to my first session with Andrew, I had begun to have severe and disproportionate responses to daily occurrences. Anytime a person raised their voice at me, I flew into panic and despair. When a firework came to close to me on the 4th of July, I was sent into a fit of rage. I used every resource at my disposal to work on this problem, and nothing seemed to help. Though I found temporary relief through CBT, and a diagnosis of PTSD like symptoms, similar episodes continued to occur. After the first hypnotherapy session that I had with Andrew, I experienced immediate results. Since that day, I have not experienced any symptoms of PTSD. Thanks to Andrew's compassion, dedication and expertise I have moved beyond a simple understanding of my problems. He has shown me a practical and effective way to legitimately heal from them and begin to take responsibility for my life. The first time I reached out to Andrew, he told me one thing that will stick in my mind forever: He insisted that hypnotherapy could change my life in ways that I couldn't even imagine. Late, Unprofessional, and Blaming the Customer…read more I booked two one-hour sessions--one for me at 9:15 am and one for my daughter at 10:15 am. Uma, the owner, confirmed this in writing in an email (see attached). My daughter and I showed up early (8:50 am). At 9:12 am we walked to the building and the doors were locked. I forwarded Uma her own email and asked if we needed to reschedule. No response, and the door to the business was still locked at 9:15, our scheduled time. My daughter and I waited for 10 minutes. A car pulled in around 9:28 with a man and a woman inside, but I had no idea who they were. The woman went in while the man carried a bag for her, but I've never seen Uma, so I do not know if that was her. So we left. She called me at 9:33--after our session was supposed to start--asking if I was still coming. She claimed she had 9:30 in her calendar, as if that overrides what she sent me in writing. What bothered me most was not the mix-up but the unprofessional way she handled it. Her email after the fact was passive-aggressive, no real apology, and telling me not to book with her again. I didn't get the service I paid for because she was not on time, and somehow, she still tried to make it my fault for not waiting around even longer. She also had the nerve to tell me never to book with her again. I would've gladly rescheduled. Instead, I got attitude and was blamed for not accommodating her unprofessional behavior. I had low expectations because I had tried to quit multiple times in a lot of different ways with no success. I remembered having a friend who said their mom quit with hypnosis and for as long as I had been trying to quit I felt like it was worth a try even if I was skeptical. What I could not have anticipated is how meeting Rita would change my life. By my second session I had quit smoking. Poof! It's a whole 7 months later at the time of this review and to this day I feel like it's a habit that I never had. I simply no longer identify with cigarettes, past or present. It doesn't even bother me to be around people who are smoking, which totally blows my mind. Being that I had quit smoking early in our sessions, Rita asked if there was anything else I wanted to work on with the sessions I had remaining. I mentioned that I was feeling a lot of stress and anxiety around my work and asked if that was something she could help with. Sure enough, Rita turned out to be better than any psychologist I have ever seen in helping me break the cycle of stress and negative thoughts. Pain pills didn't work. I schedule a phone appointment for 25 min and my mom didn't know about that. After the session I saw my mom start swinging her bad leg up and down. The next session scheduled, I ask my mom if she believe in energy healing. Answer was positive. I turn a healing meditation music and ask her just think about her parts of the body which were in pain. Since then we do it the same way and after the session three she stand up strait (very excited). As a Chinese non traditional medicine sad: You have to heal your body as long as you have been sick.
