In the past 4 years, I had gained 40+ lbs due to some special medicine I was taking (and probably some overeating of hamburgers too haha). I tried EVERYTHING to get rid of it. Juice cleanses, special diets, pills, multiple private trainers, you name it and I had done it. Unfortunately, nothing stuck. Knowing my wedding was just around the corner, I had to do something to get the weight off for good. I wanted to feel confident on my wedding day! I found Lindsay through a quick yelp search and was intrigued. Let's get this straight. This is not a special fad diet or some strict eating plan, its a way of life! Lindsay gives you the tools, skills, and mindset to make a long lasting change in your lifestyle. During the course of the 6 weeks, I lost 8+ lbs and now (more than 3 months later) I'm still continuing to lose weight by following what she taught me. I plan to be at my goal weight in the next 3 months (in time for my wedding!) And most importantly, I feel fantastic!!!!! I feel like a whole new person. Yes, it's a monetary investment but it was worth every penny :) do it!!!

As someone who has…read morealways been fixated on the latest diet and exercise trend, I feel like this time I actually learned how to have a healthy lifestyle versus temporary fixes. What I appreciated the most was her accessibility. She would review menus of restaurants I was eating at or provide me with customized recommendations. When I was frustrated with results or what the scale said, she was non-judgmental and offered helpful advice for how to overcome cravings or emotional reactions. In fact, I was surprised (in a good way) by how much of the program was centered around mindfulness and balance. Even though the program only includes 4 sessions, I felt like I was in constant communication with Lindsay and she genuinely cared about my progress. She frequently sent email updates and checked in, and when I had questions, she was never more than a text away. I am excited to see continued progress. I would recommend Lindsay to anyone!

Even the students they attract are so wonderful--kind, supportive, and committed to their spiritual journeys--which made the experience even more special. Wendy's patience and attention to detail, combined with her joyful teaching style, made the learning process feel effortless. The hours flew by, and I left with more knowledge and healing than I ever expected. Rodrigo's intuitive gifts brought a calm and deeply healing energy to the experience. Without needing to say much, they both knew exactly what I needed to heal, and the shifts in my energy were immediate. I came in feeling tired and low-energy but left feeling completely renewed, hopeful, and full of joy. Their approach is rooted in love and compassion, and the depth of their knowledge is astounding. I wish Wendy and Rodrigo all the success in the world because the energy they bring is pure love and light. I can't wait to continue learning from them and see where this beautiful journey takes me.

Like so many in our community, I came to Reiki for relief of chronic pain and found myself learning…read moreabout, and finally giving myself permission to engage in, self care. Part of that self care includes consulting Rodrigo Ortiz and Wendy Wisner whenever I need more than I can do for myself. Working with Rodrigo for energy healing has helped put most of my autoimmune conditions into remission for years now, thus relieving virtually all of the chronic pain I was dealing with daily--not to mention releasing a bunch of old stories that no longer serve my well being. With success like that, I started asking Rodrigo to work on my loved ones whenever they needed more than I could do for them. I realize that this evidence is anecdotal and a sample set of 1 (me), but I believe that Rodrigo helped one close family member survive multiple serious illnesses and helped him transition peacefully when he passed away, and I believe that Rodrigo helped another close family member release a lot of pain, grief, anger, and rage that was damaging her health--she is noticeably lighter, brighter, and more cheerful in her day to day life. So of course, as soon as my schedule permitted, I started taking Rodrigo and Wendy's energy healing and intuition classes and discovered Wendy's vast intuitive and healing skills, too--she shows up like the fun, supportive, wise, knowing sister you always wanted but didn't realize you had. These classes are profoundly healing as well as informative, and Wendy and Rodrigo make it easy to transition their teachings into daily practice. I look forward to engaging both Rodrigo and Wendy for healing sessions in the future, to continuing to gift their sessions to my friends and family, and to taking every class they offer as soon as I can.

Out of the five therapists I have tried, JP has been the only one who was truly able to do this. I went to him for less than a year before we felt I no longer required services for anxiety. I can tell him about an issue I'm having and he asks "is this issue really about that, or is it this other thing?" I can't thank JP enough for what he's done for me!

I sleep better, I'm happier, and I have more energy. I have recommended Johnny to others before and would recommend her again in a heartbeat. When I use the tools I've learned, I prevent a huge amount of the stress I used to feel. When I do get worked up, I go back to the tools, I'm able to calm down, and I see a path through that I know I can manage. In our sessions, we talk through issues, look at tools I can use, and process negative events using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing). Using EMDR has been a huge help. I start out feeling worried and hurt, and during the EMDR, those feelings decrease and go away. Positive, healthy feelings rise up to replace them, and I end up feeling relaxed and worthy. Johnny has helped me build a life that I'm loving, and I heartily recommend her.

My experience with EMDR Therapy with Ms. Powell was extremely successful and rewarding. I believe…read morea significant factor in this success was the time Johnny took to properly educate and prepare me for this innovative and relatively new therapy. Part of the first appointment was spent defining the "rules" for both of us in terms of cancellations, insurance paperwork, etc. What I really appreciated about this was it set a level of respect that went both ways: what I needed to do as a client and what she needed to do as a therapist. The explanation of the EMDR therapy plus the time to get a solid foundation for the actual work was not at all rushed, which made the whole process that much more comfortable. For anyone not familiar with this particular therapy, it is intended to help victims of trauma. I was hesitant to enter this therapy because I would not have considered my problems to be trauma-based, but trauma is not necessarily a violent or accident/attack incident. If you find yourself "stuck" with the same recurring thought(s) about specific troubling incidents that you just can't seem to get beyond, you should consider trying this therapy. After some difficult but well-guided work, I feel like the weight of the world has been lifted off my shoulders. Having reprocessed some very negative thoughts in to something much more constructive through EMDR Therapy, I sleep better, have more patience and concentration, and simply feel better overall. Johnny's style and approach to therapy are professional yet easy going, and a comfortable client has a greater chance of success. My time with Johnny was well spent with a very successful outcome.

I decided to get a therapist for my daughter who has been dealing with a lot. Ms. Duffy was…read morerecommended, and I liked what I read when I researched her, so I reached out to schedule an appointment. In the beginning, we were going every week, but my daughter was not engaging, so Ms. Duffy recommended to change it to once a month so my daughter would not hate therapy when she got older. It made sense because therapy doesn't work unless the person seeking therapy is open and willing to accept the help. We went once a month until Ms. Duffy said every two months. I thought that was a gap but agreed. In March, Ms. Duffy emails me to ask what time we had decided to meet. I am someone who lives by my calendar. I gave her the time that she had told us, and she responded thanks. A lot has been going on, so I was happy that my daughter was going to her therapy session. A couple of weeks prior, I had sent Ms. Duffy an email with updates and some recommendations. She did respond, and not once mentioned anything wrong with the upcoming therapy session. The day comes, and I found it weird how many people were in the waiting room. Well, seems Ms. Duffy had double booked us. On top of that, she nonchalantly (this is a nice way of saying that she had this "I don't give a damn" attitude) says that I canceled the appointment. I said that never occurred. She responds, "Well I don't have you all down anymore." Everywhere I have called has a 3-6 month waiting list, so this was something that was really needed. My daughter was disappointed, and I was trying to keep my calm. A therapist behaving this way. I wrote her this email, and I hope that she never does this to anyone again: It seems you took it upon yourself to cancel the appointment or you made a mistake with scheduling. You emailed me in March to ask what date and time we were meeting, and I responded. What is frustrating is the nonchalant attitude you had about the mishap. You have a more important job than I do being that you are dealing with human lives. I deal with computers that are not as important and if I would have done what you did with a client, I would have been fired. More and more I am losing faith in therapists, and you just added to that. I really hope that next time, when you make a scheduling mistake, you do not assume, and make sure to follow up instead of just deciding upon yourself to cancel a therapy appointment that is needed We really were looking forward to the session.
