Good subs! Lots of meat and the bread tastes good. They put a generous amount on them. Made fresh.

Isabella Restaurant and Bar - Who doesn't love homemade cavatelli with perfectly cooked scallops and shrimp?

Really wanted to like it here. Good service. Nice ambience. Drinks were made well. I had the…read moreburrata salad. I had herbs on it that were inedible with stems Bread was tough to eat. Seemed stale. For 42 dollars I had 1 shrimp stuffed with crab meat. No lumping crab meat. Very mushy. A small bundle of vegetable with 2 carrots and 2 slices of squash. There was a crab cake that was mushy. The 4 ounce lamb chop was cooked nicely. Very pricey for mediocre quality. Also, there was a plastic like leaf on the plate that was inedible. Not many diners on a Saturday night. I have used to love it here. Prior to the pandemic it was awesome. I have tried 3 times since and it never improved to the prior standards. I will not be back. Too many great restaurants in the area to waste my time and money here.

They are on the right track!! Because they have been advertising heavily, this restaurant caught my…read moreattention and I wanted to try. One of my friends who is in the restaurant industry told me she heard poor reviews, so, guess what, we went to try without those friends!! We went with a group and happened to go for their valentine day special. Most got their special of "surf and turf", which was a very small piece of fillet and 4 shrimp. First off, I will say, the food itself was very good. No one was a fan of how this dish was presented, all on one large dish to be split by the couple. Once split, it cooled off quickly and looked more like an appetizer or tapas (small plate). My biggest recommendation would be quantity. For example, the salads were very, very skimpy. The "sides" with the surf and turf special were also, very skimpy. Now, we have dined all over the globe in very high end restaurants and understand quantity does not equate to quality, BUT, in this instance, it seems Isabellas is trying to make or remake their name in the local restaurant scene. They are doing so much right, just increase the quantity of a few of the items. For example, the special surf and turf dinner for two, had there been an ever so increase in the potato au gratin side and the spinach (which, I would also say, needed a bit of help, not bad, but one more like Ruth Chris's renowned creamed spinach) would have been better. So, I don't think making those servings just a wee bit larger would increase the cost of goods significantly, but would certainly go a long way in making the average diner feel more satisfied.

Wonderful! I enjoyed a tasty glass of moscato but they also had a cocktail menu. The basket of…read morebread contained toasted slices, uniquely good. I asked the server for his recommendations on entrees and he was very helpful. I chose the sole with seafood in champagne sauce. It included a large piece of sole, several nice sized shrimp and three homemade crispy crab balls. It was all so delicious including the sauce, and my husband agreed. My potato and broccoli side was flavorful lots of fresh garlic. It was a very generous amount of food overall and even though I ate way more than I should have, I still had leftovers to take home. My husband enjoyed his obviously-homemade fettuccine bolognese. The glasses of ice water tasted good. We shared a dessert they were experimenting with, a warm Portuguese egg custard tart served with with vanilla gelato, whipped cream and caramel sauce(they also offered chocolate or raspberry sauce). Free off street parking, comfortable welcoming atmosphere, friendly helpful staff. We will be back. I don't understand all the negative reviews. Please ignore them and give this business an opportunity to prove them wrong.

Was on a company road trip today, where I was the driver, driving from Honesdale to White Haven. At…read morethe exit where we got gas, was Bettelli's Villa. We arrived and the door was locked. We called and they opened in a half-hour. I looked all around and every fast-food joint in the area was close by. Since it was my project and I was the driver, I said let's just take a break and wait the half-hour. Was so glad that we did. The door was now open, we were seated, and ordered two pizzas, some soups, and some garlic bread. It took us forever to place our order too, because we couldn't decide what to get and I had two project managers with me. No one could make a decision? A custom pie and Jess' Favorite or something like that. The pizza came out and my heart sank a bit... Thin crust pizza, which I'm not a fan of... I took the corner closest to me and couldn't be happier with that bite. Crispy bite with a thin layer of crispy dough with an amazing sauce. My mouth was tingling, feeling all of those flavors. Well worth the wait, and just an amazing bite. The two project managers ordered some pizza half-baked to take home with them, it was so good. Service was great, food was great, a nice break from life. By far the best option in that area.

That's weird. Beer can selection was terrible, bud & a few other mainstays, pizzeria next door has take out beer and a fabulous selection, I was tempted to bring some over. Normally I give pa and nj a break on their beer selections as they are routinely awful, but the place next door proved good beer is possible to find in wilks barre. Overall I think this winds up as a 3/5, it's overall fine and easy for them for lift into a 4/5 rating if they stock some better beer or if they literally have someone run next door to get a fringe beer.
