cutlet hoagie w American, lettuce & tomms
    Tricia G.

Tough call - good hoagie - The Pilgrim - hot turkey w gravy, stuffing & cranberry BUT way overpriced! Although somewhat better than WaWa's 'Gobbler' - our medium was smaller and more expensive than WaWa's big 'Classic'. There wasn't much turkey in our sandwich either. Its doubtful we'll go back! ------------------------------------------------- Okay - they made good for their food flub of their Thanksgiving themed 'Pilgrim' hoagie. The owner saw my Yelp review and offered me / us actually a freebie to 'make up' and make up they did! I got my free cutlet (my choice) hoagie today and was in hoagie heaven! Lots of tender nicely breaded chicken along w my topping choices. Soooo good - hope its the norm and not just bc of my (honest) initial diss.

Don't really know what that is.

I am not a bad review person. If I don't have nothing nice to say I don't say anything at all. But when a place charges $60 for 4 sandwiches it feels wrong to not say something when it is this bad. I have been going to primos since I was a kid long before the company grew and this food is nothing like that food. The chicken cutlet was dry and a strange color, clearly burnt, then the sauce for the chicken parm tasted like stewed tomatoes. My kids have lost their appetites after tasting this garbage. Absolutely awful and whoever served us that food should be ashamed. Never again!

$19.58 for 4 (maybe) breaded chicken cutlets on a plain roll. You're nuts!!

Out of all of my visits, my favorite is the weekend brunch menu. There are so many yummy things to choose from like the breakfast burrito, the banana Forester French toast, the various of Benedict's including crab, and there were a bunch of various breakfast sandwiches, but the most menu appealing one that I liked is the pork roll. On my last trip I wound getting a chicken brie apples bacon on brioche bread. It was a special of the day. From the moment I bid into it, I knew I would love it for the savoriness, the crisp and sweet tasting bread. There was a side of potatoes... Very nicely seasoned and the perfect crunch to them. On my last visit, it was a total of 10 people in our group and the customer service was great. We were all able to pay with separate checks... Always a perk. The waiter was super super friendly and kept our coffee refills going. Inside it is busy which could lead away from the quiet ambience, but I didn't mind it at all.

Former home vibe, i was one of the earliest weekday diners. Since it a solo dinner, I opted for a few sides: Kimchi rice Cucumber salad Brussel sprouts (no meat or butter) The cucumber salad was so good, I ordered a second portion!! The tofu burnt ends and bbq jack fruit sounded so intriguing that I almost begged the kind server to ask the chef if they could serve a side portion. Otherwise the bbq is served in pound increments. For my lucky tummy, they obliged and wow those are both delicious vegan options! Maybe next time, i will visit here earlier during my trip to be able to take home leftovers. Booth was cozy and love that water bottle to refill my glass is on my table which sounds weird but I drink alot of water! Small place , would recommend reservations for weekend dining. Parking lot was limited too. Enjoy!

Patio dining is where it's at!…read more We visited Filomena's Lakeview with another couple on a Wednesday evening. We enjoyed a pre-dinner drink at the bar, and we were so impressed by how friendly the bartenders were. They were engaging and social. They set off our evening on a high note! My Pink Jaguar cocktail was beautiful and caused quite a buzz among the bar patrons! We opted to sit outside, and we are glad we did. The space is open and breezy but fully covered. No need to worry if a passing shower makes its way overhead. Steamed clams in white wine and Truffle fries for the table to start. Yum! All entrees are accompanied by a house salad or Ceasar salad. Our group ordered the Limone Chicken, Chicken Sfiziosa, Steak Frite, and the Eggplant Meatballs/Risotto. Everything came out piping hot and delicious. We loved everything. I know their linguine is house made, but not certain of the other pasta varietals. Cheesecake and Cannoli for dessert, because why not? Really nice experience! Our server was sweet and super-efficient. My only question for Filomena's Lakeview is "Where is the lake?" :)

We arrived around 3:45 PM without reservations and they immediately took us to an open table. Iced Waters were instant. Our server was very pleasant and she took our order. Bread quickly followed with two types served: Italian with sesame seeds and focaccia; however I was puzzled that it was served with a plate of hot peppers and onions in a juice. It seemed off but perhaps it's a Jersey thing. I've been all over in Italy and have never seen this. Olive oil would have been fine along with a splash of balsamic vinegar. Either way I skipped bread condiments. Next came the Fried Tomatoes topped with Lump Crab as an appetizer, but once again I had another head-scratcher, as this dish wasn't typical. First the entire dish lacked seasoning plus salt. Then red tomatoes were used and we all know what happens when you try to fry one. It turns to water after you cut it. The lump crab is what probably made this dish pricey but 3 thinly slices of a red tomato caught me off guard. Now for the final knock out: I ordered the Bone In Pork Chop and impressed that I was asked how Iiked it prepared? I said 145 degrees. She said, you mean well- done. I stated no, that would be in a range of medium. Lo and behold, it was fantastically preparation temperature, but it came topped with the same peppers and onions concoction that came out with the bread. I had no idea that this was a smothered situation. My broccolini was also a mystery. The mashed potatoes were mid. Now on to my daughter's chicken Parmesan: She said that it lacked flavor and had to add salt and pepper and also stated that the sauce was loose and there was too little of it. My wife enjoyed her Salmon. Jersey is cooking differently!!!!! I forgot to add: Underneath of my pork chop I discovered a mysterious piece of corn. I had no corn in my dish??????

W O W We drove up to a humble building and entered into a welcoming and a very nicely decorated restaurant. I loved all the red "pops" for Valentine's Day! Giovanni seated us and Chris was our server. Both were warm and friendly. We really enjoyed our conversation with Chris and he gave us a few special treats as "first timers." I flipped for the focaccia bread! It reminded me of Lamberti's on Haddonfield-Berlin Road back in the day. This was even better though - I "kinda" had five pieces lol! We started with salads that were super good! I barely like tomatoes but these grape ones were so tasty! Now onto the star ... LOBSTER RAVIOLI in a brandy sauce! This dish was AH-MAZING and one of the night's specials - from the tender pasta and scrumptious lobster, to the incredible sauce and two succulent large shrimp. The chef added some sun dried tomatoes in, per my request - absolutely delicious!!! My Sir was grinning at me! I couldn't stop ooh'ing and ahh'ing at the "symphony " of flavors in my mouth! He had Veal Parmigiana with a side of Vodka Rigatoni, that he loved (it's his go-to dish that he bases restaurants on). I cleaned my plate, and took the remaining brandy sauce home - this gold wasn't going to waste! Chris hooked us up with two bread more bread baskets because he noticed how we were inhaling it- we took the remainder home too! A treat was meeting Peppe and his wife (?) on the way out. What lovely and gracious people! You can tell that they genuinely love what they do, which is why their food is so damned good! We already talked about going back - my eye is on the Calzone!

Two of us ordered bowls of corn and crab chowder and a calamari appetizer to share as entrees. One filet and lobster, one brussel sprout salad with salmon, one fish and chips, one ahi entree. Food arrived fairly quickly. Chowder was good, lots of lump crab on top and I'd order again but it didn't taste homemade, more food service. Calamari had great crunch and was fairly flavorful. Some pieces perfect, some chewy. Fried peppers with the dish were awesome. Brussel salad was huge, he said it was good. Fish and chips devoured without a complaint. Filet and lobster, priced right at $48 and the tail was huge. My husband said it was cooked right but tasteless. Filet ordered medium, grilled nicely on the outside but the inside was blue. I wouldn't have even called it rare. It was raw. He only ate the edges, didn't want to wait for another to be fired. Said it was seasoned to his liking and if it would have been cooked, it'd have been perfect. Ahi must not have been that good, she tried giving most of it away. Up until this point the service was good. When he found out we had a gift card he became rude and elusive. The quality of food was good and I feel price points lower than expected for portion size. $200 for six, non-alcoholic drinks all around. When in the Deptford area I'd definitely dine with Bonefish again.
