I had an awesome experience here. I have for years wanted a custom made flag to show my love of…read morethe Dune series and of course, Paul Atreides. I finally decided to follow through and make it happen. I went to a flag store near my house in Springfield and they just couldn't make it happen. I tried to work with them but for some reason or another, the format wasn't right or this designer is the one they work with but they are out of business. So, I looked around for another place and went to Xtrem Graphics. I had the design and that was all they needed. They were so helpful!!! They sent me a proof a day or two later and it was EXACTLY what I had always envisioned. I gave the go ahead and I am now the proud owner of the only Atreides flag I will probably ever see. But it's mine and I love it. It's beautiful and Xtrem Graphics made it happen.

Although Dave gave such a warming response when I initially requested the service, that was not the…read moreexperience I received once I actually arrived. The seamstress was very curt and rude upon entry on the establishment. When she did come from around the back of the store, she abruptly snatched my daughter's dress out of my hand, took my request and gave me my yellow sip for pick up. End of discussion. The big problem came when it was time to grab the prom dress. Now in fairness, I was 8 minutes late to the location, since running around for this special event. However, I did call but when I received no answer, I figured that she was just busy. To my small heart attack, the establishment was closed. I was devasted to say the least! I would've really liked a phone call to say "Hey, I'm leaving soon", or "Are you still picking up the dress", something or anything for that matter. Especially seeing that it was a special event. I honestly, would've appreciated a little customer service moment, that would've made all the difference with being a first time customer. I will say that after I called my friend for help, she got in contact with the owner (I presume) and managed to get her to come back and open the shop so I can get my daughter's prom dress. Thank Goodness for good friends, right?!! I'm not sure if I would return or not but I'm definitely not using the place for urgent needs or special requests. Good customer service is really about those tiny steps to make every customer feel like they're appreciated for choosing your business, and I hope no one else has to go through this experience.

FOR PRAIRE GARDENS FRAMING inside JEFFREY ALANS: Acquired a really lovely print but the frame was…read morefalling apart and the mat was discolored, and had no idea where to get it redone. This was the place--they really know their stuff-- offered suggestions for mat color, whether we wanted it 'weighted' (just slightly more border on the bottom so the print sits), and then walked us through various frame options. Both listened to us and made good suggestions. We even discussed whether to splurge on less-reflective glass (we did for one print, not the other given where they live on the wall). They did a beautiful job. This is the only place I would go--the front store full of fake flowers isn't our thing (though they do have live plants and nice pots), but the framing shop is independent, been around a long time, and really know what they are doing.
