At my cleaning appointment on 7/7/26, I was told they would also be taking X‑rays. At checkout, I was charged $97. When I asked why, I was told these were my "every 3‑year X‑rays." I reminded them that my insurance covers that. After checking, they admitted my 3‑year X‑ray would not be eligible until 8/8/26 -- 31 days later. They performed it too early. The office should have verified my eligibility before doing the X‑ray. I called on 7/14/26 and spoke with Annissa to request a refund. She said she would call me back that day or the next. She did not call either day. On the third day, at 3:20 PM, I called again. She told me they would "honor" my refund request, as if it were a favor. She then tried to justify doing the X‑ray early by saying they "needed to do it." When I told her they should have waited until I was eligible, she doubled down and insisted it was a necessary diagnostic X‑ray. I told her I am not arguing about whether it's necessary -- I simply do not want X‑rays performed before insurance eligibility. She then said she would put in my chart that I "do not want diagnostic treatment," which is not what I said. That was twisting my words. She ended the call by saying I would receive my refund. She requested her file (x-rays, etc.) under HIPAA several times by email - never got them. She then went to another dentist. They did a full exam as well, including x-rays and guess what - no cavities, no gum disease and wisdom teeth are perfectly fine to remain. Wonder how those cavities and gum disease suddenly disappeared. This office needs to get their license to practice revoked!
