All My Sons Moving & Storage

All My Sons Moving & Storage

(128 reviews)

I've used All My Sons for previous moves in and around Denver and the experience was absolutely…read morefantastic. When I needed moved 8 miles on a pretty emergent basis (my vehicle that I would have used to move broke down) to a storage unit I was hopeful that I'd receive the same service this time however, I did not. It started with my crew of two movers.. the younger of the two was great but the older man complained immediately about the amount of items they had to move. They were already over an hour late ... and complaining from the jump about the amount of items (which I had disclosed with the company in a phone call beforehand!) Regardless, everything was moved less than carefully. The photos I've posted only reflect a few of the damaged items but the damage to my belongings is so extreme that I honestly had to sit down and cry for an hour before I could even continue sorting through my belongings. The antique items were the most painful... the dining table is worth several thousand dollars and I guess the insurance situation was not properly explained to me... nor was I expecting my items to be so severely damaged. The cane backs to chairs that were PERFECT are so damaged that I don't know how I'm going to even find someone that can restore them to their previous condition. This was an item I had planned to have in my family for even more generations. Things are dented, shattered, dinged, no longer working. I was charged nearly $700 at the end which is WAY more than even discussed prior and the fuel surcharge alone was $90. $90 for 8 MILES!! 8!!!! I didn't realize the extent of the damage until returning to get my belongings the following weekend. We ultimately left my belongings there because finding someone who can repair the cane is probably easier in the Springs than it is where we moved to. This is going to cost a fortune. I'm devastated. I'd use All My Sons again but NOT in the Springs. I should have trusted the reviews and the things people had told me but I had such great experiences using them in Denver that I really didn't even think twice about booking with them. I feel robbed... almost $700 to destroy all my belongings and I'll pay at least that much to have these chairs and table restored now. Use with CAUTION!

Absolutely do not recommend! The movers did extensive damage to my floors through pure laziness…read more They didn't want to take apart the furniture and caused over $2,500 in damages that I still can't repair because the company won't respond. I was told I'd receive the payout in 60 days. It's been weeks past that timeline and haven't received any information. I paid $1.7k for a sloppy move which left damages, for some reason they left a lot of stuff behind that I had to move myself. I'm shocked this business is able to operate. ****UPDATE*** I had a contractor come out and assess the damage. He had to resubmit the documents 3 times because All My Sons disagreed with the professional contractor. Again, the estimated damage was $2,500. My floors are 1.5 years old, brand new. They offered $300 to fix it and that's it. Apparently their company thinks they are better at woodwork than a professional. And my brand new floors don't need proper repairing. I completely overpaid for this unprofessional and destructive service. A small move has not cost me over $4k. The fact a company can screw over ppl and not care to fix their damages is sickening. Horrible ppl horrible service. Disgusting.

I specifically sent them a list of what was priority to move a few days before. The guys showed up on time. They looked over the items, rooms, and truck then they got to work. The guys finished in the promised amount of time, packaged and wrapped things really well. We even did some prep work by wrapping and placing things in the living room. Next thing we know, they have already wrapped and loaded the washer and dryer very quietly and quickly. We were shocked. Would highly recommend using them! Quality and efficient is important and they take it seriously. Worth every penny.

We love that they only charge from when they start moving our stuff to finish moving our stuff. And there are no hidden fees or surprise costs. The staff was very responsive and communicative and clear while getting us set up. And our movers, Willie and Odera, were super efficient and fast and very careful with all of our belongings. Not to mention very kind and respectful! We live on the second story and don't have an elevator, and it was no problem. Can't recommend this company highly enough. We will certainly use them again in the future. 5 stars doesn't do it justice.

I also only had a few large pieces that I needed moved and had hurt my wrist and am also weak physically in general...lol. Russ helped me figured out the best option for that. The day of the move came and I was provided a short window (much better than a lot of companies that give you 3+ hr long windwos). I was also given a reminder text, which is really helpful when you're into the thick of it. About 15min before my start time, my mover Patrick showed up. He was kind, joyful, polite, and patient with me as I asked way too many questions to feel better about the whole process (the stress of trying to move out, clean, get my deposit back, sell some items, and buy a house have really gotten to my mental stability lol). He explained what would happen, answered my questions, and had a smile the whole time. Everything he did seemed pretty thoughtful. Right on time, TJ (the second mover showed up). He too was very kind and had a smile first thing. He and Patrick worked well together, communicating, joking, and handling my items carefully. I felt like nice people that cared to help me were there to get my furniture out of my apartment. Past movers haven't been so pleasant. As I continued to bombard them with various questions and requests, they answered everything and when I was asking too much they gave me permission to direct them. I think that was a really humble and pretty subtle way to deal with my insanity...and I was impressed. All I can say is, if you need movers, these guys seem like the best rates and Russ, Patrick, and TJ were all great to work with. (Please provide them with raises. )

The movers parked their truck extremely close to our vehicles--approximately 10 inches away--and repeatedly squeezed between the truck and our cars, resulting in scratches to our vehicles. To make matters worse, they left without saying a word and made no effort to clean up after themselves. Every piece of packing material and furniture debris was left inside the house, totaling nearly a dumpster's worth of trash for us to remove ourselves. Throughout the job, the crew demonstrated a lack of professionalism, communication, and respect for our property. We expected far better care and customer service from a moving company. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend this business.

AVOID THIS MOVING COMPANY…read more **POST MOVE UPDATE: the company got back to me and offered me a $100 credit due to their lack of customer service. I decided to go with the company because I really believe in second chances and an all for small business prospering. I was absolutely WRONG to do so. The day started out okay. Three young men came with a truck and they started working. My husband and I supervised them to our best extent without getting in their way. We successfully packed the van and arrived at the new apartment. Once we arrived, I realized some of the pieces of furniture arrived scratched. Not little tiny surface scratches, but FULL on indents into the wood or pieces of the furniture cracking. Now I would kind it so much if they were old, but I literally purchased all these pieces in the past seven months. One of my dining room chairs had a scratch in it, my chest had chips where they carelessly couldn't put the drawers back in, the tv stand foot is cracking, my new dresser that I literally got in December/January has a broken piece (thankfully Macy's is sending a service technician), and the boys carried my mattress by the cover which ripped and is now dirty (found this out they left). I was most concerned with my wood pieces since it's hard to replace, my new dresser alone was over $500. I let the "lead" boy know, his name was Samson and he called his boss but didn't say anything, charged us, and left. I emailed the company with a follow up statement, they asked for pictures. I sent the ones I took, and SILENCE. I finally called today to follow up and spoke with Kyle. He told me their manager tried to call but I didn't pick up. No one bothered to leave a voicemail or send me an email. Kyle told me my options were a credit of $100 or sending a handyman out to fix the damages. Uh what? I declined the credit before ONLY to be offered $100 for you to damage my household goods?? I asked to speak to the manager and he said he wasn't available. I called back to see if he was available and they declined my call or let it go to voicemail. I've attached pictures of the damage AND my phone call receipts. Absolutely DO NOT use this company to move. If you're here on their yelp page, leave. Trust me, they are not trustworthy. They also falsely advertise military discounts, my husband andI paid OVER $500 for the move. I have never dealt with such a TERRIBLE business. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and Attorney General of Virginia-Consumer Protection. *UPDATE: After writing this review, I was contacted by Kyle and he explained the process to me (which I would have explained that I already knew). I will up the review one star for the promptness of quality control. However, he said that there was no record of me calling, so I'm attaching a screenshot of my attempts. All calls over five seconds were when someone in the facility picked up, said "hello, thank you for calling," and when I started to speak, they promptly hung up. Please don't get me wrong, I am all for small businesses prospering, but as someone who comes from a family that owns a small business, and has worked and managed it for over ten years, I also know that customer service is the cornerstone and foundation. I really hope this gives some insight into how the business is run and managed. ****** This review is based solely on just a business etiquette, I have not used the company. I need to move out of our current place in about a week and I've been super stressed and anxious since we've moved out here about seven months ago and the military moved us. I found this company on Yelp with great ratings and was super ecstatic. However, I am absolutely disappointed with the customer service I have gotten from this company. I i messaged them on Yelp inquiring about their services because my husband and I need to move soon. They responded in a timely manner, but when I tried to ask them about the time on the day of my move, silence. So I called them three times over the phone and they answered...but hung up on me. If you can't do the work and we've been communicating, a simple "we won't be able to accommodate your time" is the proper way to go about the situation, wouldn't you think? I was really hopeful about this company since there were so many great yelp reviews (and I live, love, and breathe by Yelp), but I'm so disappointed. I would no doubt give this company NEGATIVE stars if I could. I would definitely NOT recommend contacting this company if you plan on moving anytime soon. Extremely rude and unprofessional.

They couldn't find my apartment when it came time to pick up the boxes, so they called me. I missed…read morethe call, but called them 10 minutes later and they were gone. They said they waited 15 minutes, even though I had the times of the calls on my phone. That would have been fine, things like this happen, but they were angry and blamed me and told me I would have to make an appointment on another day. When they finally did come they fined me for stains on some the boxes. YIKES, it would have been cheaper to just buy boxes and then throw them out. I was just trying to be green. I'll never do that again.
