I'm not sure why Rockrimmon Self-Storage received only 1 star for two supposedly different reviews…read morehere on Yelp, especially when it averages 4.7 out of 5.0 over 9 reviews at storagefront.com. I don't normally give out reviews, but I really hate injustice, and the other two reviews here don't do justice to either the facility or the people.. I first became aware of Rockrimmon Self-Storage when I moved my household goods here (military DITY move) from California via a large Penske truck nearly a decade ago. They helped me find the weigh station and even stayed open for me when I returned, as it was about 20 minutes past their closing time. They didn't begrudge it, either, but were instead very nice, polite, and helpful about it. I didn't forget that six years later, in 2016, when I was searching for storage. I priced the dozen closest units, but all were more expensive, save one, which would only have saved me a couple of bucks per month. I went down to Rockrimmon Storage to view the available units. All were clean, and the third one was the right size, so he let me put a few things in there right then and slap a lock on it, saying, "Stop by for the paperwork." No surprises with that. Just simple and straightforward. They were still as friendly as ever, and helped hook me up with a cheap trailer for my move, as I had a lot more to move this time and would require multiple trips. Unless you're storing luxury housewares worth hundreds of thousands of dollars requiring climate-controlled conditions, I wholeheartedly recommend this storage facility. They're people of their word and absolutely adhere to the terms of their month-to-month contract. The self-entrance hours are great, too (6 AM to 10 PM, 7 days a week). Did I mention the owners live on-sight? That's pretty good security!

I don't live in the Springs, so I'm a bit unfamiliar with the area, although visit frequently. I had reserved on-line a storage unit for my daughter who does live here but is leaving for a few months, so putting her things in storage. Toward the end of the day as the movers were packing, I thought I better call the storage company and was told I needed to be there to sign contract sooner than I thought. I left the movers to finish up and took off all the way across town to the Edison Rd. location. I was late. And then he laughed at me for being at the wrong location. He was rather rude and said, "They stop doing contracts in 5 minutes, so good luck, as he laughed." Gene on the other hand, at the Sinton Rd Public Storage... I called him 5 minutes before closing and told him of Mr predicament and he not only listened, but he empathised, and said, "Don't you worry about it, I will wait for you, drive careful.". I got there 20 minutes after closing and he was there, waiting for me, with nothing but smiles. A fine gentleman, representing the company well. Thank you, Gene! You saved my butt!
