Rudy is one of the best contractors we've worked with…read more He's very communicative. He calls when he says he's going to call. He shows up when he says he's going to show up. He finishes when he says he's going to finish. He does a great job, and he answers all my stupid questions along the way. And he has very good suggestions when I'm not sure what I want. We will definitely use him again! And I love supporting my local Hayward neighbors' businesses.

I reached out to Mauricio to help with getting a smart door lock installed with my double entry…read moredoor with a custom mortise door lock handle that would've cost me as much to replace with the same type of handle and lock as getting the smart lock added with his help. Mauricio helped me to add a new deadbolt opening into the exact right spot, had all the right tools for the job, and made sure to take the exact measurements needed to make sure my new smart door lock fit and worked perfectly. I needed someone exactly like Mauricio who takes his craft like art and does the job right the first time. One mistake and I'd be looking at doing a new double entry door replacement that would've cost at least a couple thousand more. I'm definitely glad I reached out to Mauricio for this type of job and would recommend him for any custom wood project.

He was responsive, showed up promptly, and repaired the damage so well that you'd never know there had been a fist-sized hole there. Hopefully I won't need this particular service again, but if drywall ever loses another argument in my house, I know who I'm calling.

Very impressed with Steve and 680 Home Repairs…read more Interviewed a number of contractors and Steve and 680 stood out Head and shoulders above the rest, both in terms of quality, price and integrity. I've already signed up to use the services of 680 home repair for kitchen , bathrooms, etc. One of the main things I like about this company is there's not a long chain of command and you are dealing with the same person, likely the owner, who is good with communication , whereas with other companies you're often dealing with a different person every day, not always sure what's going on.

We've recently concluded the transformation of our failing Pergola top to an A-frame roof that now…read morecan be used come rain or shine. In my wildest imagination did I expect it to turn out so well. The work was performed by 680 Home Repair. Unlike many of the contractors who either failed to follow up or responded with a price and no details, Steve (owner) made sure we had the information needed and where cost saving could be made. As this was a design change to an existing structure, he and his foreman listened to our thoughts and answered our questions. This same thoughtfulness carried through the entire job. Like a good Project manager, Steve visited often to check on his crew's progress and answer any of our questions. Some of the small finishing touches demonstrated they took pride in their work. Like any construction site, you can expect some level of debris. That wasn't the case. Their materials were neatly stacked and covered. The area around the pergola was vacuumed cleaned and tools organized for the next day. We were so happy with their work on the pergola that we contracted them to take on an adjacent side yard landscaping project. They handled grading, pavers, borders, lumber, stone, and crushed granite, and like the pergola, everything was done right on schedule. The most important take away from this experience is we had some hiccups along the way. No matter what it was, Steve and his foreman were always there to solve the problem or satisfy the question or concern.
