    If I had to do it over again, I'd pick another company. In the beginning the service was good and working out the details were easy. We were moving a minimal amount of goods from Hilo, Hi to the Mainland. I packed the items in boxes myself, gave a breakdown with pictures of the items being shipped. Next thing, I received a new "higher" quote for my items even though I was way below the first quota. I called and was given back my old agreed upon amount. After that service went down hill. Getting updates via text was like pulling teeth. I received info that was goods was in port and 11 days later it was still at the port with no update, this was on June 22. I didn't receive my goods until 7/27. I then reported via text, on 7/27, and email on 8/14, that I received one of my Koa tables with a broken leg...Has anyone responded or contacted me...NOOO. Its unfortunate that we were treated in this manner

    I take great delight in providing this brief review towards my experience with "Prime Movers" who provided great service with my shipment initiating in Laie Oahu Hawaii to final destination in Crestview Florida. Due to the high value of my item that I needed to ship, my initial start was to begin to find the most reputable business that could provide the most honest and secure service possible. I say this due to the most negative experience that a relative had gone through with their shipment from Oregon to Hawaii and I didn't want to have to live out this very same scenario as what they had gone through. After a lengthy and thorough search of trying to locate a reputable firm to secure my business, I finally came upon "Prime Moving Company" and spoke with Mr. Edward Jacobs. Upon my initial contact with Mr. Jacobs he actually provided me not only the best rate, but also the best routing and time frame that it was going to take to ship my item. Upon securing my contract with Mr. Jacobs, we were able to come to an agreement and immediately began the process which included the arrangement of securing a local mover in Hawaii, take the shipment to the docks there, have it place in a container, shipped to the L.A. port, and met there with an 18 wheeler for the final journey to Florida. I can honestly say that my experience working with Mr. Jacobs and "Prime Moving" was exceptional at most. Would I utilize "Prime Moving" again, most definitely due to their living up to the entire contract agreement. My sincere thanks to Mr. Edward Jacobs for being a great representative for "Prime Moving Company". He is truly a great asset to this firm!

    The most unprofessional service I have EVER used! Our boxes arrived in tatters, clothing hanging out, crushed goods & severely scratched & scuffed antique furniture that was wrapped in brown paper!!!!! no blankets or protective material. Massive BEWARE!!!!!

    Little to no damage because we labeled each box with weight and where it should go while being stored.

    We had a great experience with Prime Moving! They were professional, quick, and kept us up to date with our belongings. We moved from Hawaii to the mainland, and at first, I was hesitant to use them because of the reviews and photos. We packed all of our stuff ourselves, and my way of thinking is this: "If we're paying people to move OUR things, the least we can do is make it as easy as possible for everyone." I labeled each box with the weight and where it should go (top, bottom, or middle) when storing our items, and because of this, our boxes were in decent condition when we got them. When they came to pick up our stuff, it only took them one hour to load everything into the truck. In that hour, besides loading our stuff, they wrapped up our bed frames in blankets with tape so they wouldn't get scratches, created 3 boxes. One for our 65-inch TV, one for my paintings, and one for my vacuum sealed bags. They put a label with a number and a bar scanner on each of our items so they can track how many items and we could track our stuff. The guy who was doing paperwork with us, on the day they picked up our stuff, even told us that when moving from Hawaii to the mainland or vice versa, they recommend using plastic containers because cardboard boxes will have some kind of damage due to being on a ship that moves constantly because they're on the ocean. To me, this makes sense. I've attached pictures so you can see that we had little to no damage to our boxes. When we got to the mainland, we were still receiving weekly updates on our belongings, and once they arrived, we were able to schedule a drop-off within a few days. The day our items were dropped off, it took the guys about an hour to unload everything. We didn't go over our square footage, and we didn't go over our free 30 days of storage, so there were NO EXTRA FEES! Remember, the truck they bring to pick up your stuff is bigger than your cubic square feet in case YOU choose to go over your footage. 150 cubic square feet came out to 31 items, which included 8 large boxes and 10 medium boxes from home depot, plus our bed frames, the TV, a cooler, a small plastic filling box, and the 3 boxes they created for us. If you're going to use cardboard boxes, I recommend using NEW boxes and SCOTCH BOX LOCK packing tape. DO NOT use Walmarts great value packing tape because that unsticks within a few days or even a few hours.

    Shattered and nonfunctioning 55" TV that I was low-balled during the claim process

    Worst experience moving ever. Horrible company. I should have done better research before hiring them. At first, the move was going to cost me roughly $3k, then when they showup they they markup a bunch of stuff like the dresser being taller than the Length x Width I provided and the "Shuttle Fee", which they charged me $500 to rent a Uhaul truck to get closer to my apartment building. All in all, the price doubled to almost $6k...Then once they took my stuff, I couldn't get a hold of anyone after calling back the customer service number for a month. I tried to relay to them that I had moved into my new place and that I am ready for my things to be delivered to my new address and there was no response to emails or phone calls. I slept on the floor for a month... Then the texted me suddenly "We can show-up tomorrow, please confirm" This contracted company with a different company logo on the side of the truck and 'Move Happy' shirts on the movers showed up and put my bed frame together wrong, was missing a middle support beam so my bed sunk in the middle and almost broke the slats, didn't help setup my TV stand and left my TV for me to assemble together. Come to find out when I had to disassemble my bed and reassemble, I went over to my 55" TV that was wrapped in a moving blanket and it was totally shattered and destroyed... I then reached out to claims department and they said "We will offer you $42 for your 55" TV we broke, per our D.OT. valuation option of 60 cents per pound per article"... I paid $640 for that TV and that is the price right now if you were to buy it new on Amazon. After weeks of negotiating back and forth, the highest they were able to refund me was $250. So in turn, I don't have a TV now, and I lost about $400. Horrible moving company, I would not recommend to anyone at all.

Prior to our move date he was able to stop by our location to provide an estimate of how much it would cost to move our things. We were informed that this would be a 2-men job. We're located in Kihei (South Pointe) & we needed our items to be transferred to Extra Storage Space (Kahului). Dirk was present since he was the truck driver along with 2 movers. To ease our move everything was laid out in our living room so that they can come in take the items that needed to be packed. We did ask if it would be possible to take some items down but load it into the bed of truck. Thankfully they were able to do that for us which I am grateful especially since we're a household of women lol. Not to say I couldn't lift it BUT I realized the way we've packed our items it was HELLA heavy, like imma big b*tch BUT I couldn't LOL. So I appreciate the assist, we also live in an upstairs unit stairs really got us all. Everyone was professional & friendly. These two men moved everything within a good time frame. We only took about 4-hrs to get the job done. I am going to order them again next month to transfer the same items from our storage to our new location. Def recommend & supporting a local/small business.

They took great care as it could have been easily damaged. They also took great care covering my furniture while they drilled into concrete, and vacuumed afterward. Luckily for my partner and I we had the opportunity to meet Allen and his moving Crew. I would actually say we had a fairly difficult move with a range of furniture boxes and clothing. Allen and his crew were on time and prepared to get to work he was kind enough to check if we had adequate moving supplies before we started which was a nice touch key box everything in the truck he brought quite efficiently and at our new location the guys had to walk up a full flight of stairs in a warmer Summer afternoon they didn't complain and they maintain their professional composure. No moves are perfect a few items did not fit in the truck that we're going to have it out figure how to move the items that were left behind. I would say they were professional and it was a low stress move. I would recommend using them.

EXPERIENCE: Naturally I jumped on Yelp and utilized the site's useful quote feature where it also sends the inquiry to multiple businesses if you wish. Long story short, MCS had the best rating out of everyone and responded quickly (next day). I got a quote of $190/hour with a minimum of 2-hours. Due to the location and size of the furniture that needed to be moved, my spouse asked the owner, Mark, if he could come by just to check everything out so we wouldn't be surprised with any additional fees (which there weren't any). He happily agreed, even driving to the furniture's final destination point to check out the location. We agreed to move everything on a specific date a few days down the road. A medium-sized box truck and four workers arrived 15-minutes early on moving day. Out of courtesy, they asked if we wanted their shoes on or off (it's a Hawaii thing!) Pieces were professionally wrapped with protective plastic with utmost care not to cause damage to walls, light fixtures, etc. I was very impressed with an ingenious arm strap that was used to lift and move a very heavy cabinet. I could picture me blowing out my back trying to lift it without leverage. Delivery was just as efficient as pick up. We called them a second time as we had a last minute move of a custom-built bed. Regardless of their 2-hour minimum, Mark was cool and charged us to the next 15-minute rather than the hour. Thanks, man! OVERALL: The high-rating is legit! Local, professional, efficient, trustworthy. Highly recommended moving company & crew!
