His name is Sam. He comes with his Personal Hyundai or Toyota SUV doesn't even say locksmit on it they are I believe scam they charge me $375 to change the door latch which cost maybe $5-10 Took him 10 minutes to change it then after1 month door latch start not functioning again.. He cam back spend another 2 minutes and then left... after a week same again latch stuck in the door. we call him again. He came instead of try to fixing it. He said I can get you another Same lock for $350. We tell him yeah that's fine. Go get it and then he came back with a totally different lock some hundred dollar cheap luck. which doesn't match whatever we have. he had to do another hole on the door now it look like Mickey Mouse job on the door. It's a metal door. he ask $250 for his label again .. it cost me total of $1000and I still have Mickey Mouse lock on my door. read more

Dead battery in car ignition key lock. They determined when the wrong battery was replaced that it broke tabs to hold correct battery in place. Unfortunately I didn't have an extra $200 to replace my Toyota key at this time but will return when I do to get the funds. Best of all, they didn't charge for inspecting the key and trying their best to make it work. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE GUYS FOR THEIR FAST AND QUALITY WORK. read more

They don't give you a price or quote over the phone, because they'll come do some bull like drill a hole in your locked door, and charge you $350 just for that. Service was quick, but the price was ridiculous. Would NEVER use this company again. Idiots took $250 from me because I refused to pay the $350. That's how I knew they make up prices and take advantage of people. Please go ANYWHERE else. Break your window, the repair on that would be cheaper! read more

Prime Locksmith is located off of Hazeltine Ave & Burbank Blvd. Pretty small parking lot but I parked right in front of the store in a 15 minute spot. Walked in, was greeted immediately & they copied my key in like less than a minute. They have a selection of keys to choose from if you want to be fancy (I got a panda one). As you may have read from another review be careful. They will not quote you a price over the phone and you better ask the locksmith when he gets to your location. Their after hours locksmith charges are insanely high. Ask, ask and ask. They know they have you over a barrel when you call. BUT you can decline their services and send them away OR just find another locksmith who will wont charge you an arm and two leggs. I will not be using them again. They stated they did on site rekeying. The gentleman came out and quoted me a total of over $600.00..that included 2 keys for one Scledge deadbolt. I asked how much per extra key. I was told $10 per key. These are outrageous prices! I told him to leave. I would take the lock out myself and drive it to a locksmith. He then agreed to charge me "only" $350 and include 10 keys. My expectation of a locksmith store making a copy of a key is direct: give me a working key the first time. The Prime Locksmith person who did all 9 copies of 2 keys, gave me a dud. All the keys would not fit the keyhole halfway through. Days after, I returned to the store asking why all the keys did not fit and got an earful of explanations sans a simple apology from the same person who made the copies. Everyone reading my review could easily relate to the inconvenience and embarrassment simply because I trusted Prime Locksmith. Never Again. read more

I've been getting all my keys here for a while and they used to be very reliable. I usually get the standard ones since the patterned keys are less durable and break after 6 or so months. Today I brought two keys to get copied for a pet sitter. The keys I brought were working keys that were copied at this locksmith and worked perfectly. Unfortunately one of the copies doesn't work at all and the other is super sticky. Was unable to get into my home. read more
