Replacements were…read moreridiculously expensive at a dealer ($350 all in) so I got a 2 pack of replacements on Amazon for $100. I called Precision to see about getting the new keys cut and programmed, got a quote and made an appointment to bring in the car and keys. Khalil was awesome; first he confirmed that the chips in the new keys matched the original then he cut the keys. Programming the keys to the car took only a few minutes then he fine tuned the cuts to make sure the keys worked smoothly in the locks. I paid exactly what I was quoted and have two more keys for about half the price of one at a dealer. March 2020: I bought another car that came with only one, non-factory key. This is just a basic key that I could have copied at any hardware store but I had a good experience here before so I thought I'd come back. Rather than simply copying the old key, they did some decoding of the cuts and then cut new ones from the code. Amazingly the new keys work better than the old one and it was only $11 for the pair. I seriously doubt I would get that at a hardware store! These guys really know their stuff!

The car dealership sold me a defective car key FOB for my car at $125. It didn't have a trunk opener for my car because they said "there were none available at the time and not made anymore" (totally a lie). I met Mr Quick Fob and he programmed me a brand new different car key FOB that had a trunk opener on it and so now, I can open my trunk with just a click! The dealership lied to me, so from now on, I will only do business with Mr Quick Fob if anything goes wrong with my car key FOB from now on. His price was cheaper than the car dealership too. So I paid less for a much better FOB with more options on it (lock, unlock, panic button and trunk opener) which a car dealership said didn't exist for my car. One thing I noticed was that Mr Quick Fob's car has tons of key machinery stuff in it. He was able to make a new key for me on site and have the car key fob made and programmed right on the spot. I highly advise him if you need a car key FOB. Skip the car dealership and check out Mr Quick Fob first. I'll post photos later of the junk FOB the dealership sold me and the nicer one Mr Quick Fob sold me for a lesser price.

On the phone he said he would be able to come see me in about 30 minutes and true to his word, he was. For the sticklers out there, he was within 7 minutes of his estimated time, so don't get too bent out of shape if you are waiting a bit. Someone out there could have a bigger emergency than you. During the phone call, he also asked if he was needed right away, or if I could wait. Since I could wait, I told him so. He arrived, called me on my cell and took off his shoes and got to work. He was very smiley and polite. I imagine that I sounded just like every other guy who got locked out, so I left him to do his work. He tried his special plastic to force it open (no good), then got down to picking the lock with his tools. Within 15 minutes of his arrival, the was door open. He accepted payment, in the amount that was promised over the phone, smoothly handed over a business card and away he went off to his next adventure. For those who want to know, yes I still have the business card. I keep it because if I need his services again, its not to yelp I go, but to call him directly.

Their rating was good on Yelp and so I have decided to give it a try. Its located in the basement, which is hard to know that it exist unless you google or is told by someone or by Yelp, of course. So this one is close by to where I am located. I am looking for a store front Mortise Cyclinder Lock. Went in and got help right away. They had the Mortise Cyclinder lock on site and they rekeyed the Cyclinder lock and sold it to me for a very reasonable price. The locksmith was infact surprised how I know how to take the lock out. I also got the locksmith to rekey a 2 sided commercial key. He was honest and told me even him himself has no guarantee that the key will work because its one of those really difficult key to rekey. I like his honesty. Honesty is good. Downtown is very honest and very professional. They are my go to lock problem people Now. Thumbs up to them.
