I referred my husband for a cleaning as a new patient and boy do I regret it. 2.5 hours while I waited for a "cleaning appt" No one cared to offer any info, water, or communication as I waited in the waiting area. They asked my husband if he wanted to call me back, and as I had stepped out front on the porch for a few minutes, (tired of being in the waiting room for 2 hrs 15 min) they went back and told him I had left. IF they had bothered to look outside the window they would've seen me. But the reason they were looking for me is because they were trying to sell us a huge contract... Like buying a car. Let me say, it is a good thing that they didn't call me back there because I would have called them out immediately told my husband "Let's go" We walked out with a jaw dropping $20k plan? (I later found out) and NO cleaning. This is unethical, never before has a dentist done this to me or anyone that I have talked to about it recently. Literally no one ..... So I researched. While dentists can propose extensive treatment plans, a sudden $20,000 plan presented during a routine cleaning appointment is NOT typical or normal for most patients. These red flags are concerning. Being told you need extensive work when you've had minimal issues in the past is indeed a red flag for overtreatment. AND It's considered unethical for dentists to recommend unnecessary procedures or pressure patients into costly treatments, especially to capitalize on dental insurance benefits. Never in my life have I had a dentist do this. And I was born at night, but it wasn't last night... I feel bad for other people that are being taken advantage of here. My advice... I'm newer to town and it was my first time getting established to a dentistry in Tucson but the planning team took great care of me along with November the hygienist. They have up to date technology and are very friendly. I'd recommend to anyone. read more

I hated this place. I went in with a super infected molar that needed a root canal. They did an x-ray and said there was an infection in my jaw. I was in wickedly fierce pain and I was groaning and wincing in agony and was about to go to the ER. You can tell they LOVE it when a patient is in that vulnerable position so they can charge whatever they can as the patient is so desperado for some relief. They put me in the little room with the sales lady and I felt I was at a used car lot. Like Fast Eddie's used car lot off Speedway if there was such a place. They ran my credit and the dental procedure loan company stated they needed more information from me (there was a security freeze on Trans Union or Experian that I forgot that I requested) And everything was at a stand still for dental care with Prime Dental. Granted, I was desperate and wanting the pain to just subside and I was just on my last leg of possibly just losing it due to the pain. The dentist stated she would call in antibiotics for me for the bad infection in my jaw, and I could pick them up that day at the pharmacy. After the stalled credit check came back they figured I was dead weight to them. You're only worth helping if you're approved for a line of credit from their predatory high interest loan partner. I didn't even get the chance to send in additional documents to get a definitive approval or denial on the line of credit for the dental procedures I needed (root canal and crown). I called the following day for the badly needed prescription and their tone was abrasive in regards to me just asking about antibiotics that they allegedly called in. Their nonchalant and blasé attitude was like "well we called them in" and basically hung up. Very combative and unprofessional. I called 3 or 4 Walmart pharmacies in town and could hardly talk on the phone due to the pain. Nothing was ever called in! Prime Dental didn't offer to check on the status of the prescription and offer to recall it in. Nothing. I had to get the antibiotics from the surgeon who did the emergency $1000 root canal. The dentist and staff was so phony and fake and non caring. I couldn't stand it in there. This place is a total slam bam thank you mam chop shop!! A high volume, high dollar, chop shop. Move patients in and out like cattle. They got me for $105 for some tooth paste that was selling on Ebay for $35 for gum inflammation. I never opened the box for the rip off prescription tooth paste and is probably expired now. The only positive thing they did for me was refer me to a great oral surgeon office in town which I need to leave 5 stars for. My Apple card was put to good use that day. My jaw and molar really, really hurt all the way down to my neck and they did not help me whatsoever, and I will always remember that.. Stay away from Prime Dental on Broadway. Be very careful with this business, got a quote had to pay upfront and they couldn't perform the work, only received a fraction of the money in a refund. While waiting in the lobby I overheard another happy customer arguing with the receptionist about overcharges and not happy at all. Not the same business it use to be! read more

Buyer beware!!! I visited Craycroft Dental with a dental emergency, but soon realized it had been sold by the dentist I expected to see. The staff was friendly and accommodating. However, they failed to alert me that they were out of network for my insurance, which they acknowledge they knew. They gave me a price that was far beyond anything I had paid for a crown in the past--over $1,000, after insurance. I was okay to pay as it was an emergency. I check for balance owed at every one of three visits. Nothing more than I had paid. Now, I have a new bill of over $200. I was not notified of the additional cost of a prefab post--and didn't even have discussion of it. When I questioned the charges, I was pointed back to the insurance. They are well beyond "usual and customary" charges, failed to notify me of out of network, and failed to tell me additional cost of the post. I have received 9 separate requests to schedule new services, including in person, by email, and by text. When I questioned the last charge and asked for an adjustment-- nothing doing. They would rather take their $211 and lose a customer. The office staff continues to say that they don't notify if insurance is out of network, and do not acknowledge that they should have shared the cost of the prefab post. They are great dentists, if you don't mind substandard business practice and terrible customer service. Finally, when the mole was being cast for the crown- it pulled out an existing crown-- which they were gracious enough to 'reattach'. Find another dentist! read more
