And I used to work across the famous National Coney and American Coney located in Downtown Detroit which has been on countless food network shows. Sorry Detroit! (Sidenote, if I were staying in Detroit, I would totally introduce the Sonoran dog). The dog itself was wrapped in bacon and grilled to perfection. It was not spicy, but extremely tasty. It was placed in a lovely toasted bun which was filled with beans (pinto-not refried) and topped with onion, tomato, mayo and spicy jalapeno sauce. It was served with a roasted Hungarian yellow pepper. I never could have imagined how well this all works together at all! But boy, oh boy, it works!!!!!!!!!! I think we got 3 Sonoran dogs, 2 Mexican cokes for under ten dollars. He even mentioned he does a lot of catering for big parties. Two different hot sauces were on the table. Plenty of napkins, plastic silverware, horchata, Mexican bottled beverages, chips, etc. There was a language barrier which made me wonder if I missed out on some menu items like the yellow bacon chili previously mentioned. And the mushroom and cheese that was on a fellow diners order. I need to get down with my ordering protocol. I love you Sonoran dog and I plan to seek out the best of the best once I'm a full-time local! As this is my first Sonoran dog, there will be many more to review! Also, previous reviews that referred to a stuffed grilled chili pepper with cheese and bacon is no longer relevant as that is not what he does. He gives you a grilled chili just like all the other food trucks do. The whole time he's sitting there talking to someone on this phone on speaker and at first had no clue what he was doing because he has no Bluetooth headset and he's just pattering away in Español and I am wondering is this guy a mental case? LOL I finally see his phone off in a corner while he is cooking and moving all over in his trailer. He's on the corner of Fort Lowell and Campbell Avenue. Not on Grant as the business information gives.

The hot dogs were bigger and whatever bacon he used, you could tell there was bacon (some hot dogs I tried you could barely tell). The jalapeno salsa had a little more kick and flavor compared to the rest. The chili that comes with it is also bacon wrapped, which was a nice touch because many of the other places don't do that (or at least the ones I tried).
