It is similar to a food court style set up, but it is modern and elevated, but with a rustic feel and vibe. Today I was drawn in by the Birria Dog. It has a cool pink bun and all of the fixings of a Sonoran dog with Birria on top. They also had something called juicy sticks which is basically mozzarella sticks with Birria onions, cilantro, salsa Verde, and a lime. This has an amazing cheese pool if you are looking for an epic photo app and delicious taste. I highly recommend checking out this location for the Birria dog.

We got the Birria Dog, which comes on a unique pink bun and is basically a hot dog with a birria taco on top. It is definitely a fun idea and looks great, but the hot dog flavor was pretty overpowering, and it had a lot of extra bun. When eating it, most of what I tasted was hot dog with just a little extra flavor from everything else. Still good, just not as balanced as I expected. We also tried the Juicy Sticks, which are basically mozzarella sticks covered in birria sauce with taco style toppings. Those were really good. The combo of crispy cheese and that rich birria flavor works really well. It is located inside a food court style setup, which is nice if you are going with people who want different options. Prices are pretty reasonable for what you get. If you have never had a Sonoran hot dog before, this is definitely a spot worth checking out.

What In-N-Out Burger is to L.A., is what Sonoran Hot Dogs is to Tucson. This food truck needs all…read morethe 5 star reviews it deserves. Truck is parked on the roadside on a large dirt path. Limited outside seating under a small tent. It is a family owned business. Here is what we ordered: - Sonoran Hot Dog (I could eat 3 of these) - Taco De Ribeye (my son devoured it) I was never a fan of too many toppings on my dogs but let me tell you, these just hit differently. A typical Sonoran includes mayonnaise, mustard, tomato, onions and beans. I was hesitant when I had my first one a couple of years ago...mayo and mustard together?? Oh man, I loved it and I don't even like mustard. There are always tons of other condiments offered at the sauce bar (if you want to dress it up even more) but I like mine as is. My son ordered the Taco De Ribeye. I dare not ask for a bite because he was enjoying it so much. Get it!! There is a water basin to rinse your hands, paper towels and hand sanitizer. If you find yourself in Tucson, please try one. It will make you want to move here. Well almost. Lol. J.K.
