Dr. Rick is the first chiropractor I've ever been to, and probably going to be the last, because I like to go out on top! I had no idea what to expect (images of medieval stretchy torture devices came to mind), but he was friendly, informative, and direct. No upsell here- he truly treats me like I'm his only patient (although his office always has other patients coming and going), and customizes my care plan and frequency based on how my body is responding to treatment. He's also willing to work with people who don't have his services covered under insurance, and is reasonably priced. But as good as all that "business" stuff is, it doesn't even scratch the surface on what his abilities are. After going to him for only a little over a month:
-I can lie flat on my back without having to cock one or the other of my legs up to make myself comfortable
-I can jog for greater distances without my one foot going numb in the toes (he is working on getting my hips on even level, which makes a surprisingly large difference in my gait- I don't feel like the one foot is always pounding while the other isn't doing equal work).
-The trick stretch he showed me for my plantar fasciitis has been better than any 100$+ orthotic equipment I've ever tried. Fixed things in literally less than a week.
...I could go on. Plus, the "warm, stretchy table" that you start out your visit on to get everything loosened up is amazing. I would buy one for my house if I could afford it. haha. He does do a little of the cracking and popping that I had envisioned, but only in a few targeted spots per your specific needs, nothing too scary. I HIGHLY recommend! read more
