When I walked into Scottsdale Custom Building Materials, I assumed I would be left to wander around like the other places I had gone. Immediately after I entered, a salesman greeted me and genuinely took the time to learn which door I purchased, what my home's style is and offered several suggestions. Not once did I feel pressured to buy a higher end product or something that I didn't really like. Two weeks later my hardware arrived just as we discussed. I really appreciate that this place doesn't resort to high pressure sales tactics and even though I could have found the hardware cheaper online I really appreciated the personal touch to get to know me and what I liked, rather than which line would bring in more profit. I can assure you, I will be back when I tackle my next home project coming soon!

That's why working with Sal at Scottsdale Custom Building Materials stood out so much. My son and I are chemically sensitive, so I needed Jeld-Wen no-added-formaldehyde doors for a healthy home build. Sal not only helped me source them, but also guided me through quantities, materials, and design tweaks that made the final plan more functional and attractive. What really impressed me was how proactive and responsive he was. After dealing with another shop that expected me to chase them because they hadn't followed through, Sal was a breath of fresh air. He was organized, thorough, and genuinely invested in doing the job right. Hands down, he has been the most on-point and dedicated supplier of my entire remodel. I would wholeheartedly recommend Sal to anyone looking for doors, moulding, hardware, or building materials.

Brian and Vincent came out to power wash and scrub my travertine patio and clean all my windows--inside and out--and the results were incredible. They helped move furniture, took great care around the house, and even removed their shoes inside without being asked--such a thoughtful touch. Their attention to detail, professionalism, and respect for my home truly set them apart. If you're looking for top-quality work and a team you can trust, I highly recommend Window Heroes. This repair could have been much worse. I was replacing a toilet in my upstairs master bathroom when I noticed the flange was rotted away as I was picking at it the sub-flooring started going with it. I was very concerned. Even prepared to file a homeowners insurance claim. The old toilet had slowly been leaking into the wood sub-flooring. The insulation fortunately contained the water so no leak downstairs and no mold. Fixer was the only company that could get me a handyman in the same day (competitors were weeks away). Ian stayed until 9pm roughly fixing my sub-flooring and installing a new flange. The attention to detail was impeccable. The job was done at the highest standard. The area around my toilet is now probably the most secure spot in my home. I highly recommend this business and highly recommend Ian.

Fixer responded promptly with their hourly rate, outlined that they prorate shopping time and charge to the minute rather than by the hour. They have an online booking system that was easy to use and after providing photos of the project they suggested I book two techs. I was hesitant about that at first but ultimately glad I did. That vanity was HEAVY at about 250 lbs and it was being installed in a very tight space so having two people worked out so I could do other things around my renovation project while they wrangled with the cabinet and plumbing. Brian and Chang were great. They were prompt, professional, friendly, and kept us in the loop every step of the way. They made sure we were happy with the project and I was comfortable having them in my home and would happily have them back for another project in the future I also like the fact that the company pays their people, gives them benefits, keeps up with continuing education, vets their people thoroughly, and makes it a point to hire minorities. That did play a role in my decision to hire them for the job. 5/5 would hire them again.

He proceeded to try and get me to replace my 13-year-old system that has a 15-year warranty with $13,000 unit, and after I told him I was not interested at this time, I feel my repair was put on the back burner. I was told they might be able to get part on Saturday and install it Saturday afternoon. When I called the office on Saturday and was told they could not get part until Tuesday with install Wednesday. I told them this was unacceptable since I had to take my terminally ill sister to an Airbnb to get her out of the 90-degree house away from her medical supplies. They then said they would have part Monday and would install on Tuesday. Unacceptable. I asked to speak to supervisior/manager and was told they all just went into meeting and would call be back. A friend sent her service company, AC Concepts, over to my home on Sunday and he had the part on his truck....WOW. I never received a call from a supervisor or manager from Wolfgangs, so when I called to cancel my service appointment on Monday, I also cancelled my service agreement.
