This is my most favorite restaurant to have breakfast. I go at least once a week for my usual breakfast. But during Lent they had salmon patties. It was a wonderful surprise. My mom passed away in 2017 and, of course, she made the best salmon patties. So I haven t had decent patties since 2017. When I heard Price's was going to serve them, I had to go for lunch instead of breakfast. It took me back to those times mom would be in the kitchen, combining all the ingredients. She would test the heat of the oil and when it was just right, she would slip the patties into the bubbling oil. She served them with a green salad. The salmon patties at Price's were great and brought back a great memory. read more

*This review was done during the pandemic* It was entirely packed at 11:30am and we had to wait outside for about 15 min, which was understandable because of covid regulations, but it was hot! Whoever sat us got our drink order, but it took another 15 min for our server to greet us. Thankfully the other lady got our drinks. Our server was really clueless about the menu when we asked questions but she was dealing with a complaint with the table next to us so maybe she was flustered. However, the food was really good!! I think we will come back again when we're back in Corpus. read more

We found this diner on yelp, so decided to try this for breakfast this morning. This diner is so cute!! The atmosphere is 50's with a lot of fun decor. There are a steady stream of patrons walking into the diner. The servers are so friendly!!! It's obvious they screen their employees before hiring ... so different than IHOP or Denny's. The food was delicious ... we ordered the breakfast taco, biscuits, pancakes and eggs Benedict. Wish we could try this place for lunch! Highly recommend this diner! read more

OMG where do I begin? The restaurant is super busy and has great reviews so we checked it out while visiting Corpus Christi. The first stop was the bathroom, gross for sure and the toilet didn't flush. It was so disgusting that I don't know why we stayed. We were seated in a booth and the seat was so worn out that it felt uncomfortable sitting in the seat. The place has never been updated. It's a nice warm slightly crispy waffle that stands up to the gooey butter and syrup combo most of us put on a waffle. Now with the other half that's a different story... You take that home for lunch using it for a nice savory sandwich base forleftover chicken the night before. A little or lots of mayo salt fresh ground pepper dill pickle relish and shredded cheddar cheese. Zap that puppy in microwave after wrapping in paper towels for a minute or half. Oh boy! Price's Chef was one of our favorite spots during our trip to Corpus. The family who owns the restaurant welcome you in right away and strike up conversations with you like they've known you forever. We sat at the counter with a regular named Alan, and he also chatted with us through our entire meal like we had known him forever. You can tell this is a great hometown spot to grab a quick and cheap meal. I had a vegetable omelet and it was huge! I wound up eating about half. Everything was so delicious and the service was excellent. I really liked the homemade hot sauce that came with my breakfast, it was so good mixed up in my homefries! The restaurant could probably use a good cleaning, but isn't that how all great hometown diners are? Price's Chef is definitely recommended for breakfast in Corpus. read more

I just noticed. So cool. I also am really picky about the restrooms at restaurants. They say men/women on the door but inside the door they are separate. They should put "restrooms" on that door. This place is clearly a popular joint- it was pretty Busy on a Friday morning at 11am! We only waited about 5 minutes for a table. The place serves basic diner breakfast and they have good pancakes. I do think they need more servers- they split the place up between just two severs and you can tell they are a bit overwhelmed with the amount of tables- this meant we had to ask for coffee/water refills regularly. But otherwise a good experience and a good price! read more

I wish the food was a little better, my hash browns were a little soggy and my eggs Benedict tasted ok but not very pleasing in looks.
