I contacted Grassmaster Plus yesterday, when I saw that they had been here without ever notifying me that they would be. I called them with my concern about not being notified or even being in agreement that I would be continuing with their company. I asked to speak to a supervisor & was told by Caitlin, that she would report back what they said. I asked again to speak to a supervisor & told that she would handle this. ( Caitlin was nice & put into an awkward position) Today, Grace called me & told me, she was a supervisor & has worked there for 47 years ( the company has not been in existence for that long!) Grace also informed me, that they automatically renew. I would suggest that you get a written or verbal response from your customer, before you continue that policy. I would never recommend your service, based on how this was handled People expect honesty & to be able to share their concerns with a company. I did not feel that way & would recommend additional training for you & your staff, so that you can provide a better experience for your customers.

The worst part is that they repeatedly dump yard waste and materials in wetlands and conservation land even after being repeatedly told that this is illegal and they must stop. This was about $30,000 total and was supposed to come with a warranty. In addition to an owner backing a vehicle into an existing tree and breaking a major portion off at the trunk, they also cut back and killed several preexisting trees and shrubs. Each year since the project, I've had to have companies out to repair or replace portions of the project they did because they wouldn't honor their warranties. They planted half a garden of annuals plants when the entirety was to be perennials. They didn't use fungal resistant strains of trees and this year's "gift" will be deciding if the trees are salvageable. The stone steps they placed weren't properly installed and required removal, repairs, and replacing. They stopped showing up part way through the project, they planted grass where I'd paid them to remove grass and mulch and then wanted me to pay them to remove the seed and the grass that grew. They charged me for materials they didn't install, like liner under walkways meant to prevent weed growth. The install of the irrigation system was also faulty and didn't pass inspection with the city. This company was well reviewed at the time. I didn't know that most of the reviews were from friends and family until after, when I'd met the crew. They've rebranded several times, possibly to escape the bad reviews that follow. They can keep rebranding. I'll keep updating reviews.

I had sod installed after it was sitting out on there lot for 2 days and was placed in wrong spot until we called and was then moved to correct spot, they spread terrible dirt and never top soiled before seeding and nothing grew in. Owner came and agreed and re did some compost but the seed was awful and is all weeds! Needless to say I need another landscaper to come next season and try to get grass growing instead of weeds!

I have had a mixed experience with Mountaintop Landscape. The landscape design and initial…read moreplantings were done well (but certainly not cheap). However, the company failed to finish the job (grass seeding) for over a month after their initial work despite repeated requests to get the job done. This was on top of many timing issues leading up to the initial plantings (email scheduling never accurate and often ignored). Then after 3 months, a few of the planted shrubs died. The owner, Matt Bailey, before the initial work began, guaranteed me work, and indicated that to the extent shrubs died, he would re-plant at no labor cost, and would only charge the pro-rated cost of plants. Well, I have now been communicating with Matt Bailey for two months, and despite being given numerous assurances that the shrubs would be replaced (and that he had the replacement shrubs in his possession), follow up has been non-existent, and he has refused to make good on his guarantee. His lack of communication, and frankly, honesty, has been disappointing and unacceptable.
