Great PC location right on the nizzle nine. Vast, very clean, great selection. Staff is nice. I like the bakery items. Im a sucker for the cinnamon buns with cream cheese frosting and also an item i hadnt seen before which was stuffed chocolate chip cookies!!! They are AMAZING. This location has a starbucks as well as a pizza station in the prepared foods area. The pizza is decent too. read more

I got a chocolate cake, flowers and plants from the PC in Shrewsbury. The cake was delicious and mom loved the flowers and plants. Prices are way more reasonable than other neighborhood grocery stores for similar products. Highly recommend! read more

So I unlucky for me, I bought a valentine's gift of chocolate covered strawberries for my wife. She didn't want them as she expressed that she would rather something else. So I tried to return them and was told "the store's quality policy wouldn't allow them to be returned" Now I don't know about you but I have returned something that was open before, so why would an "unopened" plastic container of strawberries not be returnable? I mean shouldn't you want to keep a customer and say "no big deal, here is your $10 back sir". Not "No can do, you can eat that $10. We the huge corporation can't afford to give you back your money" A company that turned a hefty profit "Price Chopper Supermarkets annual revenue was $640M"...so you expect me to believe you couldn't help a guy out so his Wife isn't mad over $10. Never going to stop telling people, to never come here. Sad to see, I mean really. read more

Customer service and management are terrible and rude and not helpful! Called with concerns that I was unable to get into the building at 11:45pm twice in the last month. I work until 1130pm at night and realized I needed something for my child first thing in the morning and store hours state they are open until 12 AM, which is a complete lie. Staff lock the doors early so customers cannot get inside. When I called And listened to the very long recording and waited for night staff to pick up the phone. The manager was very sarcastic and said they are told to lock the doors at 11:45 PM. How can the store state that their hours are until 12 AM when the doors are locked and customers are not allowed to come in. The staff proceeds to laugh and states that the exit door is open, which is ridiculous because there should be a sign. I also tried the exit door on the opposite side as there is two entrances and two exits on opposite sides of the store. I tried both sides of the store! I could have went to Wegmans down the street who do not lie about their store hours and are open until 12 AM! read more

on 8/28/24 after work by 9Pm I stopped at Shrewsbury Price chopper had some grocery shopping. After I paid, the cashier (she is Indian woman)grabbed chicken breast said :this one didn't go through and she took the chicken away .When I returned home and looked receipt carefully it showed :you pay $ 9.81 and saved 4.93 because of advantage saving was different from labor.so I called store , the supervisor was very rude said :it is night time call back tomorrow . Then he hung up the phone .it took me another 10 morn minutes to drive back the store to pick chicken, It was really a very bad shopping experience. read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE!! The true colors of this place REALLY do show, my husband went in at the advice of a local pharmacy and hospital to pick up a special ear treatment since I'm 8 months pregnant and suffering a horrible ear infection, the product is an all natural one and the pharmacy we first went to was out. As someone who's been a manager and has been acknowledged for her EXCEPTIONAL customer service every year for 20+ years, I am APPALLED AND WANT THE MANAGERS WHO WORKED ON JULY 27TH, 2022 between 1130pm and 12am **FIRED AT ONCE** When your crew could care less if the cigarette holder outside is on fire (that could potentially catch the establishment on fire), leave someone in the store with a DISORGANIZED aisle system, that they have to spend time on PriceChopper.com looking up the item because they are NO WHERE to be found, then take pictures of our vehicle as if illegally profiling us when THEY FAILED TO DO THEIR JOB!!! I hope PRICE-CHOPPER UNDERSTANDS THIS LEAVES THEM OPEN FOR A DISCRIMINATION, DEFAMATION OF CHARACTER, ILLEGAL PROFILING LAWSUIT!! I even called to let them know he was waiting at the register to pay because he was in pain from a wisdom tooth surgery he just recently had and THAT JERK OF A PERSON had this following conversation with me: Manager: "Price chopper" Me: "My husband is trying to make a purchase and been at the register for 8 minutes, I was wondering if anyone was able to help him scan out" Manager: "We just located him in the store, he'll be home soon!" EXCUSE ME!?! Ah hell no; how is that even appropriate to talk to the person, the person sounded snarky, pompous and like they were in their 40's. I DO NOT APPRECIATE THIS BEHAVIOR AT ONCE!! Be glad you locked the doors because I had half a mind to go in and give them a verbal piece of my mind!!!! No!! I'm not being a "Karen" but if I'm ignored, I WILL MAKE SURE I HAVE THESE TWO MENS JOBS WITHIN THE FORTNIGHT (14 days) read more

I love Price Chopper , the fact they are 24 hours is great ... who does not like to go food shopping at 3:41 in the morning, the night shift is the best , always faster to checkout .... staff are soooooo nice .... i would give you 6 stars if i could ,,,,,,, read more

I shopped the seafood section and ordered the calamari dinner. Quality was great and for $5.99 cheaper than going to a restaurant.

This is strictly about the floral department. The floral department at Price Chopper has been my family's go to florist for years. John, the floral manager is the kindest, most caring, and considerate person. He also happens to do some of the most amazing floral arrangements! I would send anyone to have their flowers done by John and his staff. They have a beautiful selection of plants and bunch flowers, but they shine in their custom arrangements. Call the department, give a budget and you will have a beautiful arrangement!! read more

I like this store. I don't understand why people laugh when I choose this grocery store over Trader Joe's. To each their own! Has free wifi. A starbucks inside. What more can you ask for? It's cheaper than Stop and Shop, Trader Joe's, and DEFINITELY Whole Foods. The only complaint I have is the employees are sometimes just...not with it or were trained very little. Maybe I'm too picky? I go here at least twice a week since I live across the street so I am no stranger here.... read more

Hands down, the best Price Chopper ever! This store is brand new, immaculate, well-stocked, and ginormous! If I lived in the area, this would be my grocery store of choice. I stopped here on a Sunday night and was very pleasantly surprised to find that the store was very well-stocked and organized. That is not always the case when I'm doing last minute grocery shopping before the week starts. Getting around the new parking lot was a little tricky since there is only one way in or out. Also, watch out for the many little "customers in training" (kids wielding mini-shopping carts). read more

Price Chopper - a truck parked in front of a store - Grocery Near Me - Shrewsbury, Massachusetts

This store is kept pretty clean. Good selection and plenty of parking

My late grandfather got hurt here pulling the carriages apart. Whose fault is that I don't know. It does have a mediocre Starbucks with a sushi stand next to it with samples. The sell very average beer and wine as well, but it's nothing worth noting. read more

Went here once to check it out and decide if I wanted a card. Employees are completely useless. I stood by the bagel counter for about 15 minutes with no help until I just walked away. Went to the sandwich counter and again stood there for like 10 minutes until someone asked me if I needed help. I asked if they made sandwiches and the woman gave me a dirty look and pointed to the premade sandwiches and said that they don't make new ones. After that I left and went to wegmans. Never going back. read more

I've never had any problems at this location. They are well-stocked and have a wide variety of groceries and produce to shop from. The in-store wine selection is great, the pharmacy is very convenient. There is also a Starbucks inside this location which is a nice perk. They are a little pricier than Walmart, however this location offers self check out and is almost immediately across the street from my house and you can't beat that. read more

This price chopper is very convenient for me as it's nearby my house. I also love that they have a wide variety of and alcohol section. There fresh ground meats are always fresh and well grounded. They have a wide variety of peppers and produce To make any chef happy. They also have a great floor section for you to bring home the I'm sorry bouquet to your wife. read more

24 hours, yea. other than that, nay. meat counter - every time i buy a roast here, it has so much fat in the middle it's disgusting. I told the rude son of a b that works the mat counter about it and he told me that's not true and it never happened and i should have brought it back for my money back except it never happened because its f impossible. I have bought more than 4 roasts in this condition. I don't go there anymore. self checkout - they seem to always put the nasty blond lady here. she thinks it's her job to scan people's stuff, not to be available to assist legitimate holds that lock up the register waiting for her to enter her code so the cliental doesn't snort spray paint or make meth from advil. read more

I mean it's a grocery store you know. I personally don't like when I have to go in here. I just feel so out of place whenever I have to go. I always see cashiers greet people in the line I'm in, but doesn't greet me, and it always feel so awkward. The store is well kept, but it's not really inviting. I usually find other stores to go to, and only stop here when I absolutely have to read more

I've only been to this price chopper a few times and all it has done is disappoint me. Once I went for fresh basil for pizza and they only had basil paste, not even dried basil! Funny because I went to stop & shop and they had plenty of fresh basil. Decided to give them another chance for another genetic item - strawberry ice cream. Well guess what? No strawberry ice cream. Of any brand. I even asked a manager to look in the back and all he could come up with was strawberry cheesecake ice cream. I know, first world problem, but still incredibly annoying! read more

The staff are really sweet but the produce looks a day old will moldy strawberries always tucked in the bottom of a good bag, same with the grapes. The on floor staff are always trying to help. The florist is so sweet too but the managers must have staffing issues. You have to wait 20+ minutes to get the florist as they have her booked on the register and the floral department. Makes no sense managers. Let's try to have some customer service and support your staff. The Starbucks is great. Deli is great. Just appears like the managers aren't proactive. read more

Love this place, spotless, they are so helpful and I like the fact that unlike Wegmans they aren't a food court disguised as a market. The meat, seafood and produces is much better than the much higher priced Wegmans. No you do not have the option of having steam table Asian food which is priced by the pound higher than it costs in most restaurants...but for my money a supermarket is a supermarket and not a fast food joint. read more

Good since its close to home and 24 hours. Cashier overnight is a oddball..must work days at Wal-Mart!

Great grocery store! Everybody that works there is so friendly and always saying hi or asking me if I am having trouble finding anything . The store is clean and they always have what I am looking for. Starbucks is a nice touch, too. It's always nice that the cashier asks if I need any help bringing my groceries to my car. While it does make me feel like an old lady (I'm 26) I always appreciate the fact that they always ask. Prices are pretty good I think too. Cheaper than stop and shop !! read more

My only issue with this store is that the customer has to do everything. We have to bring in our own bags unless you want paper. We have to bag everything because this store doesn't have baggers. I mostly don't mind bagging but when you buy $200 worth of groceries a little help would be great. read more

This is the cleanest grocery store and that is a huge plus for me. They have great ads and are competitively priced. When I'm shopping they ask if I am finding everything okay. I am a shopper with a major health issue which would mean I receive assistance. I may be letting my pride get in the way here but I don't like to announce this to the world. I choose to use the self service registers to pay for my groceries, when I do so the machine is prompted to ask how I would like to use my EBT card. Loud enough for everyone around me to hear this. Personally I see this as an invasion of my privacy.I went to the service counter and was told the first time that it would be looked into. The second time at the service desk I was told there was nothing that could be done. You can program it to say it but you can't un program it??? Today I spoke to Bob Hewitt Dist. Manger for Price Chopper. I was told that they lowered the volume of the machine. Sorry Bob I don't see this as a solution. When I shop at your competitors they don't announce my personal business. One more thing, when I retrieve my bi-weekly cash amount (minimal) I am charged $2.50 as a transaction fee. The competition does not charge me anything for this service. PLEASE AVOID SHOPPING AT PRICE CHOPPER IN SHREWSBURY MA.!!!! To Bob Hewitt and the CEOs at Price Chopper, I spoke to your staff twice and nothing was done, I spent today talking with Bob. Nothing has changed since my first request. Which tells me that the folks of Price Chopper do not have any respect for me as a customer or my situation. Bob today you lost a customer, I know doesn't matter and it won't hurt business. I hope many people read this. read more

First time in this grocery store and new to the area. My fiancé and I decided to try it out and go here for our usual grocery items. Our bill was $300 for everything that we normally get. Just moved to area so trying all the local stores. I desperately miss my market basket so drive to Hudson when I can. But for a few things pop in here - expensive but for a local store it is great. Very clean and the staff is fantastic - helpful and nice. I would have given more stars but the deli is horribly slow. Every time we go it's the same, even if the staff are different. I decided yesterday I'm done with the deli. It must be the training because they are all slow. They also have the same scam as stop and shop - have to use the card for the sales. I couldn't find mine and they couldn't look it up with my phone number or email at the register. In 2017. The cashier was nice and used the store card. If not for those two things would have rated higher. read more
