I love the Owego price chopper! Great deals. Like any store they are marketing through their sales so you want to compare prices with other places to know if it's a real sale or just a gimmick. I compare Shurfine, Tops, and Price Chopper ads every week so I have a general idea of the going price, and usually Price Chopper wins. Sometimes I even find name brand or store brand products at Price Chopper cheaper than Aldi products. This particular location is 24 hours, which is nice. If you want to avoid crowds I recommend weeknights after 6pm. You need to use the store rewards card to get the deals but joining is free. I also use reusable bags and they give 5cents off my bill per bag. The best part is the gas rewards through Sunoco! read more

The store is pretty ok for some stuff but they have a habit of leaving wet floors with no trip hazard warning and trash on the floor and moldy donuts DONT get there "fresh" donuts ever from them covered in mold. This place is a rip off...whenever there is a coupon, they raise the price first...there is always a line checking out...Laurie in the deli is a complete pain in the ass! Always over working the staff and leaving a mess for others. Employees get fed up slicing meat and cheese all day that they quit in record time...one girl whom has worked there over 10 years gets paid 50 cents more than a newbie...what a crock of crap! She deserves more than a 5 cent raise every year!!! Another lady that works in the deli has some skin disease that flakes off in people's food...gross!!! I looked under the food isles shelves and there are all types of forgotten/rotted/disgusting products hidden underneath... Price Chopper Managers and CEOs will tell their employees to do what they can within the timed shift and whatever doesn't get done, they'll write you up for it!
