Hours are wrong on the website. Closed. That's a big problem for me right now, wasted drive time and gas.

This Price Chopper looks like someone dropped a huge lego-block grocery store in the middle of the prairie. The parking lot is triple the size of the store itself, and that's what happens when you keep building out into Kansas. For me this was a win. I needed specific balloons and surprisingly three other area stores were unable to provide them. This Price Chopper took my request and got these ready for me when I needed them (a few hours later). The gentleman in the floral department was helpful, and also cautioned me that these were pretty big balloons.. He wasn't kidding, these suckers barely squeezed into my trunk. It was a little pricey ($55 for four balloons) but they came through when I needed them. The store itself would be a familiar layout to anyone who frequents Price Choppers. I noticed a young crew around the registers working hard. I worked at a grocery store when I was 14-16 so it's cool that they give kids the chance. I remember my options to work back in high school were limited grocery stores, car washes, and mowing lawns. So yes, good enough and typical grocery store out in the ever-sprawling south OP/Leawood area! read more

Price Chopper, I go here every day! Best service ever, super close to my home! I have got a "frequent shopper card" what they say if you want to scan your frequent shopper card, and I really recommend this place! Great service! Ok, it's gone south again. The main point: this store sells old and bad food. I've purchased rancid crackers, expired cheese, stale bread, old meat, moldy produce, and now terribly old seafood (cherrystone clams) from this store. Sure, most of it is fine. It's in a can, it's processed, or pizza. But anything fresh and expirable? They let it expire and continue to sell it. Right up front: they're apologetic, they refund your money, they say sorry. But a good grocer wouldn't have this "food" for sale. In the latest instance, I've told the seafood dept. many times I like cherrystone clams. They get me some (yay!) - they're good (yay!). Three weeks later, they're still selling from the same batch. (They're "not dead yet", but if you know clams - this is not good.) So, I stop buying them. A week later, I'm told "these are NEW ones!" Our distributor said they were harvested just six days ago. So SURE - I love these things and buy another dozen. We get them home, and open just five - and declare these the oldest and worst (still alive) clams we've ever seen. I won't go into details into why I know - you don't want to hear the details. I have NEVER returned clams for a refund until now. (See above paragraph about apologetic.) So - SOMEONE was lied to - either me, or the seafood seller to the store. Either way - I bought old food that - seriously - might have made me and my wife ill. If this were an isolated incident, you wouldn't be reading this tl:dr. But I've seen this too many times in the last couple years from this store. read more

This Price Chopper was fine for grocery needs but we came in here on the morning of my friend's baby shower looking for toys to keep the children occupied during the boring adult parts of the shower. The kids section here was absolutely abysmal - I also needed to buy some more diapers for a game we were going to play and their diaper selection was severely lacking. checkout person coughed directly on her hands multiple times and then proceeded to touch/check all of my groceries. afterwards, decided then was the right time to then use the hand sanitizer that was conveniently right next to her the whole time! could be more considerate. this was at the 95th & mission location. Not impressed with how they manage this store at all. It can not handle what most stores would consider a "normal" amount of shoppers at one time. The last time I was here on 1/10/20 they had NO shopping carts in the front of the store or in the parking lot corrals. I had to walk across the front of the store after hunting a few down in front of the grocery pick up area. There were spilled and smashed blueberries across the floor in one aisle. The lines were like what you'd expect to see on Black Friday shopping at Walmart. The restrooms were unkempt with dirty paper towels Over flowing in the garbage can and one toilet stall was a complete mess with triplet paper wadded in the toilet bowl. Makes me question how sanitary they keep the food preparation areas and deli area where customers can't see. I will not be shopping here again although it is right by my house. This price chopper is the bomb diggity. Not only is it open 24 hours a day, no one ever shops here so there are no lines! It's beautiful, clean, gigantic, and easy. Every time I shop here I feel like I'm the only person in the entire store- which can be creepy- but mostly convenient. The staff is friendly, mostly teenagers, and they keep this store in great shape. SUPER CLEAN! read more

3/24/20- Not very professional here: cashier hurried me through the checkout and was kind of rude. Then had issues with my card (my fault) and while I waited for the bank to clear it up I got to listen in on all the work drama at customer service. Generally a clean store and the one I have shopped at most in the past. However employees are NOT wearing masks. Even after the latest order on July 3, many wear them on chin or over mouth only. In the deli I have to ask them to put on their mask. Today the man grudgingly put over his mouth and when I asked if he could cover his nose also he did but was clearly not thrilled with me. I said "thank you, deli meats are eaten raw, not cooked, so it's not safe to eat if the case has been breathed on when everyone leans in to grab the food". I did buy the lunch meat and stopped at the customer service counter (second time in past 2 weeks) to request that deli employees wear a face covering. We'll see if anything changes. Now that I've written this review, I'm thinking I should not eat that stuff. Bottom line, definitely buy deli items elsewhere! read more

Price Chopper 133rd and Mission, Leawood, KS. While shopping on Friday I was amazed at the lax approach to protecting customers From the Coronavirus. No worker had on a mask. When shopping in the frozen section, the unmasked person stocking got too close to me. Unmasked employees were within 2 feet of each other while restocking ice cream. An unmasked employee was checking in the back for me and walked up the down aisle and passed two (unmasked) shoppers closer than 6 feet, and on the way back he walked the wrong way down the freezer aisle. At check out an unmasked employee was standing in the self check aisle to point out which were open. Since this would be within 3 feet of him I asked to back up. He looked surprised. Customer service is marked for 6 feet waiting, but when you get to the counter, an unmasked agent is within 3-4 feet from you. I asked why they aren't masked and they said the CDC said it was optional and that it is uncomfortable. Tell that to a doctor or nurse who is wearing a tight, hot N95 masked for 12 hours a day. Way to step up and do your part, Price Chopper. I will not go back there until this is all over. read more

Price Chopper - Grocery Near Me - Leawood, Kansas

This is my local Price Chopper. Less than two miles from my home, I find I have a hard time using them as my go to grocery. They have routinely expired foods, especially the cheeses. I haven't looked lately, but the reason I don't look anymore is because I found so many expirations. The checkout staff doesn't understand the vegetables and give me weird looks when I buy something they have never seen and don't know how to key into the register. Although the store is large, I have difficulty finding what I am looking for because it's not where I expect it to be. I guess if I loved breads, a vast array of gelato, and processed meats it would be my kind of store. As a person who eats Paleo...there is very little I can buy here as their organic section has very expensive meats, and compared to Sprouts is very small. At least they have an organic section. read more

Just tried to return a couple of items and get the correct ones but unfortunately they would not accept any returns. They blame it on COVID 19. First they can't get product to stock their shelves and now this. Wonder what their excuse for such poor service will be when the virus isn't a factor any more. read more

This used to be my go to to shop for gluten free food because there was a dedicated section and there were tons of options. Recently they removed the dedicated gluten free section and spread the products throughout the store. What is worse is that they stopped carrying a lot of the products I bought regularly. Now I go out to price chopper on 151st and metcalf which takes me 20 min to drive to. I will not go to this location for anything now. read more

I have been shopping here for YEARS. This is probably the best Price Chopper- friendly staff, quality food, etc.

The customer service at check-out is horrid at this place. The associates (mostly young, part-timers) are absolutely apathetic about their job at the checkout aisle and as sackers. They rarely engage in discussion and, generally, have a "don't give a crap" attitude. The service at the deli counter and meat counter is good and stands in contrast to that received when you're trying to pay, get your groceries sacked and gone. Sadly, with HyVee's demise at 123rd and State Line Road, there's no competition in the immediate area. read more

This store is so frustrating. I live less than a mile away but am done shopping here. On nearly every single trip I end up with some sort of expired item. Nearly everything on their shelves is expired. It's unreal. I hate to imagine the meat at this location and how old it is considering the other items that they allow to stay on the shelf that have actual dates on them. read more

Great neighborhood grocery store. The staff is friendly, the store is clean and I rarely have to wait at all in the checkout lane. The store is laid out in a way that requires a visit from one end to the other; but once you've been there a few times it's easy to find what you're looking for. read more
