Price chopper was the only place that had my canned blue berries no one else huge selection of canned fruit and baking supplies

They say they will no longer be mailing out the weekly ads, yet their website has been down all week. I'm not sure what has happened to Price Chopper, it used to be a great grocery store. read more

I am done shopping here! I only stop buy when I am in the neighborhood to pick up advertised sale items. When they ring them up they are not as advertised! My rewards points show up, but the sale items are not priced as advertised. This has happened 3 times in a row now. It is intentional deception. I get my money refunded because I pay close attention to the prices. What a hassle . No wonder the parking lot is empty. Relocating the store will not help a bad business. The other Price Chopper in Raytown that I do my business with has lower prices on everything in the store. Much lower prices in the meat department. Mckeever's Price Chopper is a rip-off! No wonder Hy-Vee is so busy! No wonder Walmart is so busy. Bad ownership! Never again will I patronize Mckeever's owned businesses. Absolutely unforgivable...I was in on Wednesday for there Chickin Dinner Special...5:30pm....i believe they serve this special till 7...I asked for the tenders...they said all they had were the spicy tenders...I said are you making more? He said yes,I said I'd wait...they had just dished up the remaining corn they had,I said do you have any green beans ? He said no, I asked if there was to be more corn ....he said no....why make MORE chicken if you're not going to have anything to go with that chicken....he could've cared less...he asked , you still want the tenders...I said I'd go somewhere else...and will continue to go somewhere else....if you don't want to be bothered why post the special... read more

Popped in to pick up a salad bar lunch and a hot dinner plate which was a tasty shredded turkey pot roast. Friendly counter lady. Walking around, I was greeted and had a friendly quick checkout experience. They even provide you with a paper or plastic bag. Big parking lot and near the highway. Overall clean supermarket with good selections. read more

This is the store I only get my groceries at, I've been shopping here for 20+ years. Every time I come in here I've seen the same red headed produce lady when I get my produce I've asked a few questions to her before and I'm always smelling drugs and I've seen her vape in the store I'm not sure why the owner doesn't test his workers for drugs because this woman has it smelling bad on her and she's always acting strange. There's another worker who does checking and customer service I've seen him do very little work and runs off with one of the grocery workers. I've also seen him run around the store and play like a kid with some of your other workers when they're getting work done. I don't know why the owner hires these weird people but they tend to do these things behind his back. The owner really needs to be watching his workers I've seen a bunch of them on the phones or calling people up while they're working. This does not look good for this store. My daughter who shops here after work has had a bad experience with one of your workers she got his name was Austin who checks and customer service, he always gives her attitudes and tries to play the nice guy. The owner needs to do something about him and her. I will not be shopping here ever again. read more

Ew...Price Chopper has gone downhill. I shopped there yesterday, cause I was in the same parking lot at Petco. I had a few groceries to buy. Their produce was, and is always beautiful, it's the rest of the store that's not so good. I checked out the deli area, and the twice baked potatoes looked delicious. I bought 2 asking the employee how to cook them.I said, "425 for 30 minutes?" She replied, sharply, "no no, 1 minute." I said, "I don't like to microwave that much. Can I oven bake them?" She said, No no, 1 minute.". I said, "1 minute at 425 in the oven?" She said, "No no one minute. Just one minute." (Ended up cooking them 425 for 30,and they were delicious.) Then, I asked the same employee for 6 slices of turkey. She grabbed 20. I said, "No, I want 6." She threw the extra slices back in the bin,and said, "Is this fine?" I said, "No,I want 6." She threw 4 back,and I think I ended up with 6. I went to the meat department, and bought chicken, and a few other things. Their gluten free department wasn't that grand, so I passed that up, and paid. I noticed Price Chopper prices are way higher than Hy-Vee. I bought pumpernickle bread baked in the bakery,and it wasn't very fresh today. Fail all around. I was thawing the chicken today, and noticed a smell. My dog was in the room, but I knew it didn't smell like my dog. I started to smell the chicken, and the stink rising from it smelled of decayed rottenenss, making me nearly barf. The one piece smelled decayed, like salmonella smells, the other 2 pieces in the same container kind of smelled. I promptly threw it away, Cloroxed everything, and restarted with another group of chicken from Hy-Vee. Well, for almost ruining my dinner,and insisting I microwave, unneedfully, I am lowering my review to one star. No longer will I go into Price Chopper. I am done. Just an update, they refunded me the money for the chicken, agreeing that it was really gross.. read more

The store is neat and clean. The problem I have is a small sign at the checkout stand that cannot be seen until you wait in line for over 5 minutes. No alcohol. Plus, Friday night prime time and you have 3 checkers; 2 cannot ring up alcohol. But, you won't know that until you stand in line for a lengthy time for nothing but to get in another line. read more

I do not recommend going to this location. You would be better off going to the hyvee right up the road. People are extreamly rude and they never have what you are looking for. Even if it is in the paper. They do not price match and will not give rain checks for any item. Their prices are extreamly inflated something $1.29 at hyvee will be double or more there. Do not go here you will regret it and will get less for your money. I asked what the hell was going on here and someone their told me. Well if they would lay us enough to give a " bleep" then we would, but our cooperate people are a bunch of penny pitching " bleep" holes and won't pay us what we're worth. They did a great job on the remodel! The store is clean, well lit and very organized. Service at the fresh meat counter was great. Checking out, not so much. The cashier was more interested in speaking with the cashier about their work schedule and whether he went to church on Sunday. read more

The cashier was rude , the woman behind the cigar counter was even ruder. They refused to sell me a case of beer because I loaded the groceries on the belt not knowing that I would be asked to show Id. I had no purse or any thing on me that would make the cashier think that I was paying for the groceries " my boyfriend" was, and my boy friend had his ID BECAUSE HE WAS BUYING the groceries . They still refused to sell us the beer and rudely suggested he complete his transaction get in line AGAIN and put the beer on the belt himself to purchase the beer. I understand store policy but I don't understand the unnecessary rudeness from the price chopper employees. I will take my money to hyvee before I come back to this place . read more

Good salad bar. All the fixings you could want. On tuesdays it is set up for tacos. I give it two stars because the cashiers are not the friendliest people. No "hi" no smile. Nothing. Smh. This store needs better customer service. read more

I visit this Price Chopper weekly, ever since I was a child with my grandparents. I have never had a bad experience. Produce section is stocked beautifully, as well as their shelves. Also I love their salad bar! The only thing I wish was better is the selection of organic, gluten free, and vegetarian options.The employees are very helpful and always kind. I am happy to call this my neighborhood Price Chopper! read more

This Price Chopper is like all the other Price Chopper stores in the Metro KC and Independence area. It has everything that you would expect a grocery store to have with all of the usual departments like produce, dairy and fresh meat, with aisles that have canned, bottled and boxed merchandise. As grocery stores are concerned, it's really not that much of a difference from other chain grocery stores with its own little unique things that make it a Price Chopper. Some of the cashiers are really good at their job, but others seem like they just don't care enough while they are doing their job. I'm not sure why. However, for what I need and when I need it, it is always dependable to get what I need. read more

The last two months since the remodel the cashiers have to do their job and the job of a sacker. They do not have sackers anymore during the late morning/early afternoon. So what happens the lines are longer and much slower. I have talked by phone to the manager twice but all he has for me is excuses,,,he can not find help. The other Price Choppers in Independence does not have that problem only the store on Noland Road. Cashiers spend more time doing two jobs instead of their own. They are very polite and just do what is needed. read more

I recently got married and ordered sandwich party platter from this location. I called a week in advance and told them what I wanted and was told to come in 24 hours in advance to order the trays. I went in on Friday at 11 and put in my order. I even spoke with the manager in the deli. I was told that it wouldn't be a problem and that they would be done. After I turned in my order and was walking away one of the workers started throwing a fit and I was hollered at to be asked if I was seriously wanting them at two the next day. I said yes and continued to leave. I was then stopped and told that they had to check with the bakery to make sure that they would be able to fill my order. (This was more than 24 hours in advance) after waiting for them to come back I was told again that it wouldn't be a problem and that they would be made. On the order form the price for the trays I wanted was $30 a piece. When we picked them up the next day the total cost for three trays was $150! That's $60 in taxes! The bread was hard and very hard to eat. I will never be using this store for any of their services ever again. read more
