The outdoor area is huge and inviting, with plenty of space to spread out and relax. We especially loved sinking into the comfortable rocking chairs, the perfect place to kick back with a drink in hand. The overhangs and fans kept everything cool and breezy, which made hanging outside even more enjoyable on a warm day. One of our favorite features was the outdoor ordering window. It's so convenient, especially if you're visiting with your pup--you never have to leave them behind just to grab another round. The whole place has a fun, welcoming vibe with great music setting the tone. While we didn't sample the food this time, it was definitely tempting, and it's nice to know it's available if you want to make an afternoon of it. Drink-wise, Commonhouse nails it. While beer is their specialty (and they have a solid selection), they also offer a frozen drink and a few seltzers for those who prefer something a little different. And for the pups? They've thought of that too, with outdoor water stations so your dog can stay refreshed right alongside you. All in all, it's a truly pet-friendly spot with a laid-back atmosphere that makes you want to linger a little longer. It's quickly become one of our favorite places to relax and enjoy Charleston with Luna by our side.

I've now worked my way through some of the other menu items like the brisket grilled cheese, the cheesesteak special, and the hummus platter. You can't go wrong with anything here, but the CAB Smashburger is my go to. I love sitting on the patio on a nice day with some live music and some good eats. Inside feels a little boring, but I would only sit in there if the weather was particularly crazy anyway. For those that don't drink beer, they do have other options as well like frozen drinks, seltzer, and wine.

The food is awesome!…read more Make reservations. We sat at the bar and the bartender was great. He gave really good recommendations and we loved every thing he recommended. First start off with the Hefe-Weizen beer. They serve it in a nice chilled glass and a great way to start the next enjoyable 1+ hours of tastebuds delight! The pretzel is a must! It's served warm and was so so so soft. It will make you regret you ever ate one at the mall or carnival. We had the jagerschnitzel and the breading was perfect. I think any of the schnitzels would be great. The bartender told us about a special off-menu item that included 3 types of bratwurst. Each one had a unique flavor for the others. My favorite was the peppercorn one. It was one of the best dishes we ever had. This is an absolutely must get dish! For dessert, the apple strudel is the way to go. It's one of the freshest desserts you'll ever have.

My boyfriend and I went to Germany about two years ago, where he ate schnitzel every single day he was there (for a week), so when he found this place so close to our house, he berated me until we tried it. A standout favorite for this spot is that they give you blankets when you sit outside which (in my opinion) should be a standard in restaurants with outdoor seating. Our waiter was super friendly and really knowledgeable about the menu, which is always great when dining with my boyfriend who is known to order whatever is most recommended. We started with the spaetzle (which will be replacing my current go-to mac and cheese order) and then had the Frankfurter Schnitzel and the Jägerschnitzel. Everything was tasty and cooked to perfection! We had to order the Schokokuchen for dessert which was incredible, rich, chocolatey, and the perfect end to the meal. We had a great night and would definitely go back. It will absolutely be added to our favorite dinner spots!

Zero complaints. Solid brewery. Good beers AND good food!…read more My husband and I sat at the bar for lunch. I got the "Out at Third" which is a Belgian tripel beer. It tasted light and was easy to drink despite the high ABV. I loved it! For lunch, I ordered buffalo wings and a side of fries. Both were better than expected; wings had great flavor and fries were crispy. I'd definitely recommend checking this place out :)

Frothy Beard in Charleston has great food, but the service definitely needs some improvement…read more They always seem a bit understaffed, and items are often forgotten. I actually did an event with them where they walk around and take vendor orders--which is such a smart idea--but I ordered an iced tea and never received it. That said, the food itself was delicious. I had a wrap and fries, and both were really good. If I were rating based on food alone, it would easily be a 5/5. Service-wise, they don't bring out napkins or extras, which is something to note. However, they do have plenty of outdoor seating, making it a great spot to bring your pup and hang out. The ambiance inside is really nice--it's a large space with a relaxed vibe, and there's also a big parking lot, which is convenient. Overall, I'm rating it lower for now due to service, but I'd definitely come back and hope to update this review next time!
