Beer flight

Food was meh. Only liked one beer they had on tap. The bar tender was a jerk. He wanted nothing to do with the groups of 5 people I was with. Great open space. Will not be going back.

I like this place for the atmosphere and people. The beers are good but not my favorite. However I would still recommend!

Great space for large groups and kids, yummy food, and delicious beer. Visiting from out of town and loved it.

It's a mixed review. I liked the beer selection, the music and the atmosphere but bartender Grumpy is just not my vibe. I observed him with many of the patrons and he was kinda just an ass. I myself said thanks for my pour and he just turned around and rang up the purchase. A family came up and ordered the rotating tap, he seemed extremely annoyed with what they ordered. I understand it can be a rough time being busy and being the only bartender and as I gathered others didn't show up to work but to those being pleasant to you, be pleasant back. I felt sorta uncomfortable just ordering. Merry Christmas!!!

Free and strong wifi. Password is gowiththeflow. Beers run about 7 bucks after tax. No prices listed anywhere on anything, which always bums me out. Gotta ask. 19 beers on tap!!!! No sours of any kind and I'm totally cool with that..these folks be experimenting...peach jalapeno wheat, black ipa, 2 different stouts, 3 porters, pumpkin ale, a West Coast IPA and a New England Style IPA. Only drinkers unhappy here would be the sour lovers. Gotta have over 100 seats inside, plus a long bar with at least 20 seats. They also have an outdoor beer garden with bathrooms nearby. Plenty of safe and free parking...like no worries about parking at all. It's industrial, but done over nicely inside and their a.c. be crankin'... Yes, they serve food. Have a handful of big screens with sports on and they have cans to go, wine and cider, plus lots of merch.

Great local brewery off Dorchester Road in North Charleston! Old Holy City Brewery location and Tidelands decided to move into the space. 20 different beers on tap and all of the ones I tried were very good! My favorites were Belgian Blonde Ale, Banana Hammock (Hefeweizen), and Other Side IPA (west coast ipa). They also have wine, cider, and champagne if you are with people that don't like beer. They have a large patio area in the back. Cornhole, tic tac toe, and bocce games are back there. Also have a smaller bar in the patio. It wasn't open while I was there but probably open on busier nights. Kitchen is currently closed but it looks like they have food trucks most days. They also allow you to bring in outside food. When I was there, Dashi food truck was there and it was very good!

Tucked away behind an auto body shop and a motorcycle dealer, this brewery is truly a hidden gem. Tideland has a wide variety of beer so its guaranteed to have something for everyone. It offers a great tap room as well as 2 large outdoor seating areas. There is a stage area in the back, but you'll have to check their website for any events they may have scheduled. My first time I went I decided to go w/ the flight to try out their wide variety of choice. Its rare that like multiple flavors of beer at a craft brewery, but all 4 were excellent. I also decided to grab some food while I was there and was rewarded with the best shrimp po boy I've had in the low country! Do yourself a favor and check Tidelands out, you wont be disappointed.

Lots of diverse beer choices, outdoor and indoor seating, and a beer garden with its own taps! They are dog friendly and serve food, and have a self serve water tap. Anyone can find a beer their interested in, and if you're not a beer person, they have wine and cider as well! Service is quick, friendly, and helpful. Laid back environment, and very open.

Beer garden with outdoor taps

This brewery is quickly becoming one of my favorites! Located where the old holy city was, there is a ton of space to enjoy a brew. If you can't find a seat inside or you want to socially distance, they have an huge outdoor beer garden equipped with its own set of taps. Tidelands is here to stay and I can't wait to see what comes next!

Great place for brews, food and chilling. Porters/stouts for me and hoppy ipa for hubby. Great food also. We had the black and blue burger special! Delicious! We will be back!

What a fun brewery tucked away in North Charleston. What a true hidden gem. Great food menu- best food at a brewery in this area. I had the special- soft shell crab and cucumber salad. Delish!! Beers- were solid. Did a flight of porters and stouts. My favorite was the Seaside S'more's- not too sweet and so flavorful. Service- bartenders were so friendly and helpful with food and beer choices. A must visit and return as often as possible.

Loaded tots.

The outdoor area is huge and inviting, with plenty of space to spread out and relax. We especially loved sinking into the comfortable rocking chairs, the perfect place to kick back with a drink in hand. The overhangs and fans kept everything cool and breezy, which made hanging outside even more enjoyable on a warm day. One of our favorite features was the outdoor ordering window. It's so convenient, especially if you're visiting with your pup--you never have to leave them behind just to grab another round. The whole place has a fun, welcoming vibe with great music setting the tone. While we didn't sample the food this time, it was definitely tempting, and it's nice to know it's available if you want to make an afternoon of it. Drink-wise, Commonhouse nails it. While beer is their specialty (and they have a solid selection), they also offer a frozen drink and a few seltzers for those who prefer something a little different. And for the pups? They've thought of that too, with outdoor water stations so your dog can stay refreshed right alongside you. All in all, it's a truly pet-friendly spot with a laid-back atmosphere that makes you want to linger a little longer. It's quickly become one of our favorite places to relax and enjoy Charleston with Luna by our side.

I've now worked my way through some of the other menu items like the brisket grilled cheese, the cheesesteak special, and the hummus platter. You can't go wrong with anything here, but the CAB Smashburger is my go to. I love sitting on the patio on a nice day with some live music and some good eats. Inside feels a little boring, but I would only sit in there if the weather was particularly crazy anyway. For those that don't drink beer, they do have other options as well like frozen drinks, seltzer, and wine.

Wow! This place is amazing! As someone who recently discovered they have a soybean oil allergy,…read morethis place is a gold mine! That's one of the reasons my husband and I came here on a Saturday before the Stingrays game because it's near the collussium. It looks like it's kind of hidden off the road pulling up There is also a huge parking lot across the street. Lots of tables outside and by the downstairs grass area, but they fill up quick. Also very dog friendly and kid friendly. They had Cornhole and frisbee for games. Inside there is a large bar and table seating. You order up at the bar area. Btw they don't have soybean oil in anything, not the buns or sides and they even fry in beef tallow. So I ordered a single cheese burger with the special sauce as well as a side of crispy potatoes. I also got a glass of wine, which I was happy they had wine as an option ...not all breweries do that. My husband got the double cheeseburger with a side of crispy potatoes and a beer. We came around 430pm and sat by the benches below because the upstairs tables were full already so come early. They give you a number so they can easily find you. The food came fast, and it was delicious. The burger had lots of flavor and was the perfect size. The potatoes fried in beef tallow were crispy and delicious. It was my first time trying something fried in beef tallow and I can confirm it does not make it taste beefy Needless to say we will definitely be back!!

Zero complaints. Solid brewery. Good beers AND good food!…read more My husband and I sat at the bar for lunch. I got the "Out at Third" which is a Belgian tripel beer. It tasted light and was easy to drink despite the high ABV. I loved it! For lunch, I ordered buffalo wings and a side of fries. Both were better than expected; wings had great flavor and fries were crispy. I'd definitely recommend checking this place out :)

Frothy Beard in Charleston has great food, but the service definitely needs some improvement…read more They always seem a bit understaffed, and items are often forgotten. I actually did an event with them where they walk around and take vendor orders--which is such a smart idea--but I ordered an iced tea and never received it. That said, the food itself was delicious. I had a wrap and fries, and both were really good. If I were rating based on food alone, it would easily be a 5/5. Service-wise, they don't bring out napkins or extras, which is something to note. However, they do have plenty of outdoor seating, making it a great spot to bring your pup and hang out. The ambiance inside is really nice--it's a large space with a relaxed vibe, and there's also a big parking lot, which is convenient. Overall, I'm rating it lower for now due to service, but I'd definitely come back and hope to update this review next time!
