There's limited seating inside and it seems like they do a large carryout and call in business. I think this may be a small franchise as there are several listed in the area. Service was a little frosty. She didn't offer any information about the products and I felt a little pressured to make a selection. The price was fairly low and she did say she could heat up my kolache if I wished, which I agreed to. It came out quickly. It was a cute little pastry, very uniformly shaped. The yeasty bread around the filling was very soft and aromatic, definitely my favorite part. The eggs were also a pleasant texture and very hot. I didn't detect much cheese and unfortunately I thought the bacon was 1) in very teeny tiny pieces and 2) slightly undercooked -- very chewy and still pale. I tried to eat around it. Overall, good pastry/bread and eggs. I'd probably try a different meat if I ordered one again. The sweet options are also interesting looking!

They microwave them but I was hoping they would be under a heat lamp or something for a more uniform warmth. I could see how this could be an issue so I wouldn't even consider this a real "complaint". 100% recommend this place for a tasty little lunch!

It had been years since we had visited, and we were excited to spend the day walking around the little town and enjoying a meal at one of the places it's known for. We arrived around 11 a.m., and it was the perfect timing. There was plenty of parking, and we were able to walk right in and get seated. After lunch, we spent about an hour shopping around town, and when we came back through, the parking lot was packed and the sidewalks were much busier. I would definitely recommend arriving earlier if you want a more relaxed experience. Even though it was August, the weather was surprisingly beautiful, with temperatures in the low 70s, so we decided to sit out on the veranda. It was such a great choice. The view was peaceful, there was a nice breeze, and it felt like we were enjoying lunch somewhere special rather than just sitting inside a busy restaurant. It made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Our waitress was wonderful--very attentive and friendly. We must have been on the same wavelength because every time I asked for her opinion between two choices, she picked the exact one I was already leaning toward without me telling her. Her recommendations were spot on! We both ordered the trio, which allows you to choose three items from a selected menu. We each started with the white chili, and it was perfect for the cooler summer day. It was warm, comforting, and full of flavor. For my main dish, I chose the turkey melt on a croissant. The croissant was flaky, buttery, and absolutely delicious. I'm trying to cut back on carbs, but that plan went out the window because it was just too good. I did save half of the sandwich for the ride home, but there was no way I was leaving that croissant behind! My bestie ordered the chicken salad croissant, and she loved it as well. She said the chicken salad was flavorful, moist, and delicious, and the croissant made it even better. Of course, we couldn't leave without trying dessert. The Blue Owl is famous for their Levee High Apple Pie, but neither of us were really craving apple pie that day. Instead, we went inside to look at the dessert display, and that might have been the hardest decision of the whole visit. Everything looked amazing! I was torn between the chocolate cream pie and the French silk, and ultimately chose the French silk. It was very smooth and rich, and the flavor was delicious. My only complaint was that I personally would have preferred more whipped cream on top, and the crust was a little firmer than I like. It wasn't bad at all--it just wasn't my favorite dessert choice. If I went back, I would probably try something different next time. My bestie chose the gooey butter cheesecake, and that one was a winner. The crust was made from a gooey butter cookie, and it was such a unique and delicious twist. Overall, we had such a great day in Kimmswick. It was the perfect little escape before summer ends and school starts back up. A beautiful walk through a charming town, great conversation with a best friend, and a delicious meal made for a wonderful day. We're already looking forward to coming back!

She can do any flavor imaginable! 1st cake was ordered in September. My daughter is very specific on what she wants lol. She went with the Summer I turned pretty theme of course. I bought the seashells on Amazon and had the bakery add it to the cake. This is where it gets interesting....my daughter wanted strawberry cake with pineapple filling and for the sand to be biscoff crumbs (we love biscoff)! Let me tell you!!! The cake was so delicious! Not only did every guest actually wanted a piece but for once the entire cake was gone with no leftovers . 2nd cake I ordered it in October for my son's 21st birthday. She loves Biscoff as much as we do so she asked for a biscoff cake and that cake was also so good!!! My son who wasn't a biscoff fan became a fan. 3rd cake is in order for Jan. 14th so I'll update it with more pictures

The location is very cute with excellent signage and they have the cart out front that they still use for leftover/end of day discount items. There was a large variety of baked goods on the day I stopped in. It was hard to choose just one so I had to try a few. Gooey butter cake was very good, definitely stl style. The apple turnover was PERFECTION with a light crust and the perfect amount of filling. I purchased a sugar -free cheesecake for hubby and he loved it. The texture was excellent. We were so excited that they had a sugar free offering! Prices were very reasonable. Especially for the sugar free. I will be back!
