I am incredibly impressed by this place by both its services and employees. I've had a few major…read morehealth surgeries mostly as a kid, which left me with abundant scarring in various places - two of them being right on my face! A few months back, I went to see a facial surgeon and not only did he tell me that it would be risky (i.e. breathing issues), he said that I would require a whole other operation and quoted me $2,000. I felt depressed and tried my best to not think about it. With time, I thought I'd try again and went for a consultation at Midwest. The lady who saw me wasn't so sure about my scars so she called in Dr. Stewart, who felt my nose and forehead with her hands and immediately told me she could definitely take care of one, and improve the other. She said it was not cartilage like the surgeon had told me, but rather damaged skin and excess/lack of tissue in those areas. I don't know how to describe it, but she exuded such confidence in her words that I had a strong feeling she really knew what she was talking about. She of course mentioned that it wouldn't be a 100% perfection, which is granted (she was realistic overall, such as mentioning how my kidney scar is too stubborn for significant improvement with lasers and it would be a waste of my money). Further, I have an olive complexion, and so she told me to return in the winter time so that any possible sun damage could be avoided/reduced. I felt very cared for (I've had bad rushed laser burns once before on my legs elsewhere, believe me). Yesterday was my appointment. Rae (the aesthetician), called Dr. Steward in the room to clarify what was going to be done and they both spent a good chunk of time answering to all of my questions and anxieties. I am not kidding, but about 2 minutes into the first procedure, the hypertrophic raised scars on my columella and scar tissue into my nose were completely gone (with the ablative laser, don't remember the name). I couldn't believe the mirror! I was so happy I could have cried, but of course I had to act put together. And my other scar, which was badly indented, was visibly improved (with CO2 laser resurfacing) after only the first session. I am still healing, but will most likely put up some before and afters. Just amazing! I would also like to mention Kerri (another aesthetician), who handled the CO2 part and again, all my questions were thoroughly answered. Thank you so much. I know this is a super "extra" review but I mean my face has transformed. I'm the one that had to look at it the way that it was everyday. Something I was told would probably never get better, was enhanced to a level I honestly didn't think was possible, and so easily too... In a small city like Sask, I'm both impressed and relieved that there's a place like this. Lastly, when someone isn't 100% confident on something, I love that they aren't shy in admitting that and then they inquire with one another. On my way out, I had more questions about recovery and they were again answered with a good amount of patience and time. A very happy client!

WORST AND MOST EXPENSIVE MASSAGE EVER!!! I received a $150…read moregift card from my work to go to this place. Such a wonderful gift. I booked online. The massage was not great. The lady was wonderful. Very friendly. She massaged the left side of my back with her forearm for about 40 minutes and used what felt like a rolling pin on my spine and shoulders (ouch ) then spent a couple minutes on the back of my legs and a minute each of my arms. The neck and scalp massage were amazing (the only reason for one star). When I went to pay, he told me I still owed $130. I said to use the gift card. He said he did. So $280 for a horrible massage? Apparently you need to be a member for a better price. That was never mentioned. I have gone to several places and had a 90 minute massage for $130 and they were very GOOD. This was not. I will never go back.

There was a dispute during one of our transactions recently and I got a chance to speak to the owner. The owner Andrew Chandna is probably a fine person, but customer service is not important to him. If you want to find a place where they care about clients, I would recommend going somewhere else. This place seems to be all about money. This is resonated through many of the reviews. I should have done our research ahead of time. Lesson learned.

I've been going to Paramount Day spa for years, its the best spa in Saskatoon hands down! I love…read morethat it is a women owned and run business, the atmosphere is elegant and relaxing, and the people that work there are amazing and so friendly. I see Nicky M. and she is an exceptional esthetician! She tints my lashes/brows once a month and I have also had pedicures and facials. Nicky has amazing attention to detail, and is always trying to improve her clients experience (she gives me a head rub while my tint is processing... heaven!). She is so friendly and accommodating, and truly the best at what she does! She also does amazing makeup applications and is extraordinarily knowlegable about skincare. 10/10 would recommend! I have never had a bad service the 9+ years I have been seeing her. If you want a relaxing experience while getting your glam on - Nicky M is your girl!

We were told that we could not have our hands soaked or warmed up for cuticle work prior to shellac coating because of risk of infection. My mother does not have the greatest fingernails and being old and over 75, not the best feet either. But at this point when the cuticle pushing hurt her hand, I was hoping they would try to figure out another way to work on them. Several problems with my mother and her nails, from not curing them properly and having to redo polish, to seeing her esthetician become visibly irritated with her - left me feeling very regretful. It cost $346 (not including tips) for both my mother and I to have this pedi and mani shellac experience - and a few of my mother's finger nail tips chipped off the next day. I will chalk this up to experience and not ever return here. I know these are not easy jobs but this spa should - at these prices - ensure they have the best people working on their clients. A massage chair that most nail salons have would have even been a nice touch but not even that was on offer.
