My daughter recommended her favourite place for pampering which is the Brow Babe. I was super excited to go, as my daughter Nicole had phenomenal make up and braids done there many times before. First thing I want to say is their space is very cool and so relaxing. I could have hung out all day taking in the atmosphere. Going to one place and getting your makeup and hair done at once is awesome. Taylor did my make up. Her attention to detail blew me away. She takes her work so seriously. I felt amazingly comfortable letting her do what she does. I don't wear much make up but she made me feel incredible wearing it. It was perfect for me with unreal lashes. She really is a make up artist! Wow! I felt like me times lots of confidence rocking it. Next up it was Whitney who is a amazing braider. It was unreal. I watched her help two other clients before me and I was sold on her artistic creativity. Honestly I was so happy with what she did with my hair. I was teary eyed and had trouble not ruining my sensational make up. I would give this experience with Brow Babe...10 Stars if I could. You can always hear stylists chatting with their clients and having fun while "beautifying". Esther's skill in ethnic hair is a welcomed comfort to anyone looking for Black hair care, special needs for hair loss and weaves and extensions. No one is more informative and keeps the interests of her clients in the forefront of every consultation. I drive the 2hour 20minute there and back home in one day every 6 weeks - rain, shine, snow or sleet. If that doesn't tell you about her quality, I don't know what would convince you.

When I arrived there, the esthetician told me she only did clusters so I agreed to them, though a little disappointed. Once complete I took a quick glance at the mirror, paid and left. Upon arriving at work (10mins later), I took a closer look in the day light and to my horror the eyelashes were terrible!!! First of all, clear glue was used and gooped on so much you could see clear glue chunks on my eyelashes. They were heavy and looked terrible. My co-worker/friend looked and asked "Holy! What happened to your eyes!" Needless to say I went back right away. After talking to the owner (i'm assuming she's the owner), she looked and said there was nothing wrong with them, i was almost in tears because they were so horrible, she did not want to give me any reimbursement because I had already left the salon (I was only gone for max 30mins). She wasn't willing to do anything, so she gave me a little bottle of glue adhesive remover and told me I could do it myself!!! Worst experience of LIFE at a salon! I have no idea why that place is still open. Terrible service, very unprofessional. I guess you get what you pay for after all.

The most dissapponting, unprofessional experience of my entire life. Appointment was for my bridal…read moremakeup. Foundation was patchy. Couldn't see the contour, No blush and no highlighter. Eyebrows were so thin, and way to dark. Usually eyebrows are done so there is a nice gradient of dark to light, where they fade as they get closer to the inner brow. You would think that somebody who went to school for makeup would be knowledgeable of all makeup trends and techniques, but this girl was definitely not. Then eyeshadow. The salon was completely empty when I arrived and stayed that way through my entire appointment. So she had no reason to rush. She began feverishly applying my eyeshadow so sloppy with the roughest brush I've ever felt and I could tell they were cheap but I thought, it's not her fault that the salon doesn't give her the best tools. I had provided her pictures of what I wanted my eyeshadow to look like. When she was done applying the shadow, liner and lashes I was able to look in the mirror. My heart sank. The cat eye liner looked like a thick crescent moon shape at the tip. Not a delicate straight line. The eyeshadow was blotchy and had hardly any pigment, it was uneven and sloppy and had no dimension. She had used one colour for the whole lid. It was at this point that I was holding back tears. I could have done my makeup myself but I wanted it to look extra amazing on my wedding day and that's what I expect when I go to a "professional". During the process she had told me that if I didn't like something that I just have to tell her and she can redo it. I had been there for an hour and a half at this point. So I sheepishly asked her if she would hate me if I told her that I didn't like my eye makeup? She said yes we could fix it, but I could tell she was irked by this request. So she wipes my eye makeup off and I decide to show her a much simpler eyeshadow pic because honestly, this girl had no idea what she was doing and I just wanted to get the hell out of there. She re-does my shadow and applies new lashes, which I told her I was more than happy to pay for. I was there for 2 hours at this point. When I looked at the finished product I was absolutely shocked by what I saw. There was dark brown fallout covering my entire under eyes, cheeks and nose. I told her I was okay with the shadow (I wasn't really) but could she please wipe the fallout away from my cheeks? She said if she did that then my skin would get red and irritated... so what does she do instead? She tries to cover the fallout with more foundation! I look in the mirror again, now with huge grey patches under my eyes, and I just gave up. I tell her I'll just wipe it off and fix it when I get home. She says "yeah sorry, it's just kind of hard when you take it off and put it back on and take it off and..." I was in disbelief at her complete lack of skill, and lack of caring about letting a client walk out looking like a raccoon! She walks to the front to talk to the receptionist as I grab my coat from the coat rack. I walk down the hall and I can hear her complaining to the receptionist about how she had to redo my eye makeup. I'm almost in tears from anger. I walk up to the counter, she smiles and says have a good night and walks away. The receptionist saw what my makeup looked like and still made me pay. I ended up paying $75 for something I had to go home and rush to redo myself! I am angry at myself for paying but I don't like confrontation. I didn't catch the name of the "makeup artist" but wish that I had. She should absolutely be fired. Please do not book any appointments at this place unless you like wasting your money.

I was worried about damaging my hair but they've all been great at making sure not to go too much too far at once. Nobody has ever tried to push a product on me and the products that I have purchased from their recommendations were great and protected my hair from damage. They are the only salon i trust with my hair in Saskatoon!

I booked my mother and I in for a pedi and mani shellac and when we arrived we were shown into a…read moretiny room and had an esthetician each start working on us. We were told that we could not have our hands soaked or warmed up for cuticle work prior to shellac coating because of risk of infection. My mother does not have the greatest fingernails and being old and over 75, not the best feet either. But at this point when the cuticle pushing hurt her hand, I was hoping they would try to figure out another way to work on them. Several problems with my mother and her nails, from not curing them properly and having to redo polish, to seeing her esthetician become visibly irritated with her - left me feeling very regretful. It cost $346 (not including tips) for both my mother and I to have this pedi and mani shellac experience - and a few of my mother's finger nail tips chipped off the next day. I will chalk this up to experience and not ever return here. I know these are not easy jobs but this spa should - at these prices - ensure they have the best people working on their clients. A massage chair that most nail salons have would have even been a nice touch but not even that was on offer.
