WORST AND MOST EXPENSIVE MASSAGE EVER!!! I received a $150…read moregift card from my work to go to this place. Such a wonderful gift. I booked online. The massage was not great. The lady was wonderful. Very friendly. She massaged the left side of my back with her forearm for about 40 minutes and used what felt like a rolling pin on my spine and shoulders (ouch ) then spent a couple minutes on the back of my legs and a minute each of my arms. The neck and scalp massage were amazing (the only reason for one star). When I went to pay, he told me I still owed $130. I said to use the gift card. He said he did. So $280 for a horrible massage? Apparently you need to be a member for a better price. That was never mentioned. I have gone to several places and had a 90 minute massage for $130 and they were very GOOD. This was not. I will never go back.

There was a dispute during one of our transactions recently and I got a chance to speak to the owner. The owner Andrew Chandna is probably a fine person, but customer service is not important to him. If you want to find a place where they care about clients, I would recommend going somewhere else. This place seems to be all about money. This is resonated through many of the reviews. I should have done our research ahead of time. Lesson learned.

This is a copy of the email I sent the owners of this business;…read more I visited your location at 10 am on Saturday morning. When I was shown into a room, I was initially unimpressed by how dirty it was. The cover on the waxing bed clearly hadn't been changed before my visit & the wax pot's surround looked dirty as well. I decided to give your waxer a try despite it -- and it's possibly one of the largest mistakes I've ever made. I have been getting waxed since I was 15 years old (I am now 27) and my mother used to work as an esthetician. I have never had a waxing experience this horrible before in my life. For 8 months prior to this visit, I had been using an epilator. Since I am getting married later this year and never found the epilator's results satisfactory, I wanted to switch back to waxing prior to my wedding. I booked this appointment in February because I knew it would take awhile for my hair on my legs to grow to an acceptable length to be waxed. The hair under my arms grows a lot faster, so it was longer than necessary by the time of my appointment. Instead of trimming my hair beforehand, your waxer chose just to apply wax & hope for the best. I was left with a large matted mess on my underarm. When it became clear that she wasn't going to be able to just 'rip' it off with the linen strip, (and trust me, she tried) she left the room to go retrieve a wax remover without explaining the situation to me. Upon her return, she spent a few minutes prying at the wax clump and snipping what she could off of it. I wish I'd just gotten up and left then, but I let her continue -- to create a new mat & continue to apply wax over it and try to rip it off. These rips were even worse -- my skin was irritated already from the earlier attempts so she couldn't rip the linen strip off in one try -- one attempt took up to 3 painful tugs. I honestly can't stress just how painful this was -- or how shocked I was when she explained that all of this was happening because my hair was 'longer'. Like I stated earlier in this email, I have been waxed before and anytime hair has been too long, the waxer has taken the time to prep it beforehand. After your waxer had 'finished' my armpit, she applied a wax remover which left my skin burning. At this point I told her that I was finished & I was going to leave. My armpit was completely raw & there wasn't any chance I was going to let her touch my other one. The entire attempt took 10+ attempts with a linen strip -- anyone who has been waxed before would know this was an incredibly high number especially on skin that was already distressed and hurting. After getting redressed, I walked up to the front counter where I was charged full price for the horrific service I received -- $10.24 for an armpit that was now starting to get raised red welts, still had wax residue on it, still had random inch long hairs (I'm not sure how these were missed, to be honest), and 15+ little stubby hairs that had not been ripped completely out. I also made sure to cancel the other appointment I'd made for April 30th at 10:00 -- at least I hope that it was cancelled. I made the appointment back in February, but she couldn't find it in the appointment book, so she left a post it note on the date instead? Absolutely awful. Upon leaving, I made an emergency appointment at Spa Ahava on Broadway to have them attempt to fix what your waxer had done to me (& wax my other armpit). The waxer at Spa Ahava was shocked at what had been done to my skin -- she said it looked like it had been 'lifted' and stated that she was uncomfortable touching my raw skin because it was far too tender/destroyed. She then trimmed my other armpit & waxed it -- in 3 rips. Spa Ahava chose to waive the charge for my single armpit & I then booked appointments with them leading up to my wedding in September (5 in total), along with manicures for both myself & my fiance. In short, I am disgusted by the service I received at your salon today and the fact that I was charged $10.24 for a horrible incomplete job. I am writing about this 18 hours after my appointment and the welts on my underarm are only getting worse. I will make sure I tell my friends and family about my experience and I hope nobody else has to go through what I did today. -- The owners replied, said they'd 'look into this matter' and offered me a free gift certificate for a complete waxing prior to my wedding. I declined. I've uploaded a picture taken yesterday of my skin 27 hours after my appointment. Today, it has become even worse & has started weeping & scabbing (as if I had a fresh tattoo). I have been waxing for 12 years and my skin has never reacted poorly to wax before this incident (& the armpit I had waxed at Spa Ahava has not had any side effects or problems).
