I've been going here the last year or so and never had any issues- went today and just about cried when I left as I don't have much free time to get out. Got the powder dip and the lady dipped my nails like 5 times- I told her I didn't like them thicker and she didn't care. My nails have never looked this horrible- I will not be coming back. The nails are super thick and the cuticle areas are very sloppy. I'm not the type to say something typically but she knew I wasn't happy and didn't care and basically told me this is what dip looks like which is not true. Im pretty sure this is the place i went to last thursday. The people were nice. Im young, i bite my nails. Its not that bad of a habit but sometimes my nails get very short. I could tell it made it harder for them to put my acrylics on, they didnt wanna hurt me. They made me and my mom wait 1 hour just to get a seat, the lady who drilled and applied the acrylics was gentle but it would sting when she got to my cuticles and the top of my nails. Not only when they were done, they were different shapes, crooked, and they didnt paint them fully. I was upset and i feel terrible for my mom because she wasted 45 dollars. They were nice but not glued properly. Just today, 2 of my nails fell off, leaving another cracked. I have bandaids over those fingers. I saw everyone get nice manicures where the people took there time. She rushed mine, I was happy at first, and i am very grateful my mom even put the thought of making me happy and letting me get my nails done because she knows ive been asking for a long long time. My daughter and I had an appointment for 5pm this evening, when we arrived there was 3 people waiting. At 5:20 I inquired how long was the wait as we could come back. We were told to come back at 6pm, we arrived at 5:45. My daughter was assisted by Andie who is amazing. Me on the other hand had my pedicure and manicure at the same time- not at all relaxing and I was completely rushed. My manicure looks horrible, when I asked if my entire nail could be painted, I was given an attitude. No one there made any attempt to fix the issue. Horrible! Went in to get a refill and within a couple minutes my nail stylist shaved skin off of my finger twice. She had to re-wrap my finger several times to try and stop the bleeding and that didn't work so she put alcohol on it and a Bandaid. She expressed to me that it was a bad blade and not her fault??? This place got worse than it even was back when I used to go. I am actually really surprised at how bad it got. Honestly I didn't think it was even possible for it to get worse. When I used to go years ago you'd always get the usual; them talking bad in their language about you even if you are just asking for minor corrections or changes in your service different than how they want to do it. I still used to just deal with that and still go from time to time. However this time I went in after years of going and it was so bad I actually just walked out. It was 12:13pm, I didn't have an appointment so I understand that I am not going to be seated right away, so I asked how long is the wait for a pedicure she says 20-25 minutes. Knowing I have a 2pm doctors appointment for my child I think to myself I can probably make it, it's only quarter after 12 now, if they are saying it will be 25 minutes that means they will start me by 12:45pm, I should be done by 1:30pm and I can run home grab the baby and head to the appointment and just make it there. So I go to the restroom then I go back to the front and she tells me go have a set in one of the chairs. So I go and sit down, usually when they tell you to go have a seat someone is nice enough to run the water for you so you can atleast sit and soak your feet while you are waiting so atleast you are getting your feet nice and soft for when they start. So I go to the seat and sit and start waiting, no water running, fine I'll sit and wait I understand they are busy no problem. 12 minutes go by, there is a tech taking care of a client in the chair next to me. I'm just sitting thinking to myself It takes two seconds for them to reach over and turn the water on for you, I know back when I used to go that's what they used to do as a nice gesture and kindness for the fact you have to wait. I ask her and She says "water comes later" I'm sitting there thinking more to myself and thinking I'm not going to sit here and wait for 40 minutes with my feet not soaking in water and then a tech thinks they are going to come over and try and work on my feet while they are still hard and the pedicure will end up not even being good because I didn't get to soak my feet at all. So I'm sitting there waiting, trying to be patient and understanding. I finally say extremely nicely and politely "is there any way I could soak my feet while I am sitting here waiting?" She says "one minute" then continues on in her language saying something nasty immediately afterwards. Probably "this bitch thinks she just comes here and we all jump for her" if I could guess what it was but Trust me it wasn't nice. she then turns the water on but makes it super cool. I said can you make it a tad hotter so she turns it burning hot. I really just wanted to adjust the water myself because everyone's temperature that's comfortable to them is different. So anyway I'm sitting there and 30-35 minutes is starting to pass, and the two techs get up from caring for other clients- one went to a nail booth and started a nail client and one just went into the back room. No sign of coming back and no one came and put any products in my bowl for me. I knew if I stayed there longer I would be waiting another 15 minutes or more and it would probably be a crappy one because all of them are obviously in a bad mood. It was unlike when I used to go a few years back, they used to all chip in and atleast make sure everyone is ok, turn the water on, put the products in, tell you they will be with you in a moment and who will be working on you......... none of that. And moreso attitude than anything. I am just going to save my money this summer and do my own feet. I have my own gel kit and I have my own razor and foot stone. It's just nice to get pampered every now and then and it's right around the corner from my house, but with how downhill things have gotten I'm just saving my money. It's not worth paying the money for how rude they are. My mom goes over to Tony's over across from Target shopping center township line road and ridge pike. I used to go here a lot to get my nails done. I don't know what has changed over the past 2-3 years, but my daughter needed a refill. We usually go to a different location that we like better, but they had a long wait. So we went here and I was shocked with the result. First, she was greeted by the nail tech when we pulled into the parking spot. He was in his vehicle smoking a cigarette. That didn't seem very business like in my opinion. My daughter needed a refill and had 2 broken nails. She also choose a special design for her nails. She told me after her visit the tech was so rough with her while doing her nails she was almost in tears it hurt so much. She was told they couldn't do the design she wanted so she opted for her second choice. When I saw her nails I told her my toddler could have done that exact design on her nails. It was a Sunday afternoon, there wasn't a line and they weren't busy so I'm not sure why the design was so bad. Very disappointed with the service and prices. I have been a long time customer. Started going there when I was a teen. Continued patronizing then into my adulthood. I've taken my girls there since they were little little. I can't say I am ever completely happy. Sometimes I'm there for two hours... mostly waiting for someone to do my nails. They need to learn to say no more appts rather than have people sit around. They also tear up my toes. Rough! The next day my toes are so sore and red around the nail. But what really bothers me is that it's not affordable anymore. I spend over $80 to get a gel mani and pedi. (No acrylic). As a licensed cosmetologist, I know the costs of product and how many services one bottle can produce and even with inflation, their prices are way over the top. I came here a couple times a few years ago. What happened? I came again for my first "moms day out" in January after I had my daughter. I'm about to cry at the amount of my toenail I just cut off.... For the first time in my life I have toenail fungus. It was a totally bad experience for my sister and myself. We had terrible service. At this point, I feel like the pedicure chair I got was not fresh but I didn't see them fill it. They guy handling my pedicure was fumbling around the entire time and not paying attention to what he was doing. Pretty nails is always hit or miss. Their service is always inconsistent. Slow day you might get a good pedicure or manicure. busy days, they cut corners. Andy was the only technician I had that I was actually happy with my result. Tina is sloppy and I always seem to get stuck with her when I don't have an appointment. nails are cut too short regardless of what you ask for, callus removal is non-existent so for $30 I could paint my own nails. Need to find another nail salon in the area. I would not recommend this salon for a consistent result. read more

This was my first visit to Pretty Nails. I should mention that until recently, I haven't been a frequent visitor of nail salons, so I don't really have much to compare it to. I thought it was a nice place. The staff was polite and they kept me and my gf sitting together the entire time. They are efficient, clean and professional. I had a mani/pedi on a Sunday. It got pretty busy so I was glad that I went there only a few minutes after they opened, but they do have a lot of stations and it seemed like plenty of staff to handle it. I called and requested an appointment with Jenny after being told by multiple people a few months ago that she was great. As soon as I walked in for my appointment she said "pick a color" in a voice that made it seem like she was annoyed. This woman, was SO RUDE to me the entire time I was there that I can't even write down all of the things she said/did because there were so many. She kept slapping and hitting my hands too when they would go back to a normal position after she kept trying to contort them in ways they couldn't be bent! I kept tying to make conversation, and even though she speaks fluent English she wouldn't respond AT ALL. Also every time I asked her to cut my nails shorter she would pretend to cut them down so I just gave up even trying to ask. She then yelled, yes YELLED at me saying my hand wasn't under the UV lamp dryer all the way and when I told her that the tips of my fingers were touching the back, she got up, walked around her desk, and looked under as if she thought I was lying to her than said "FINE!". The last thing I will mention is that the nails looked AWFUL! They were completely uneven, they were too thick, the nail polish started chipping that night, some had the corners rounded some corners were sharp... I had to go into VP nails the next day to get them completely reshaped and cut down. I will be going to VP nails in Pottstown from now on because they are welcoming there and also do a great job. Lastly, After my appt I spoke with the people that recommended her to me a few months back, and they all said they stopped going to her because she started getting rude and nasty with them as well. read more

They did a great job on our nails but when we left we all felt sick (nauseous, headache) because of the lack of ventilation. My mom, sister, and I made an appointment and they were great about accommodating us, getting pedicures and gel manicures for each person and ending at the same time! They over charge me every. single. time. I won't go back anymore. First time I got a regular full set with just a top coat because the tips he put on were bright white so without the polish they looked painted. When I went to pay they told me $30. I said no, he didn't polish them with a French manicure its just natural. The woman said no its $30. So I paid because I'm not one to put up a fight but you can bet that extra $5 I had to pay was his tip that he didn't get. Then I went in again a few months later and had a refill and they tacked on an extra $5 when I asked why they said there was a length charge!!!! #1 my nails were extremely short, and #2 a refill is just the new growth of the nail, so how would there be a refill length charge! I've had them start me with someone else for both a pedicure and a fill and then switch people midway through. Needless to say, the nails didn't match! I have been a customer of this salon for at least 6 years now and I can't believe I never thought to write a review on their behalf before now. I see Pauline, Andi and/or Lana and I love them all and respect their skill. They're all extremely friendly and professional and go out of their way for me each time I'm in their salon. I was a nail biter from age 2 and much later in my life lost the nails on both of my thumbs. After 5 different dermatologists evaluated the issue all agreed it was due to trauma. Seemed odd to me since I'd stopped biting my nails by the time I lost them and hadn't suffered any recent trauma etc. But it is what it is and the human body is quite complex so I trust each doctor knew what they spoke of. Andi used "acrylic" (I think) to fill in each thumb nail which made them look normal! and helped me heal them both and now I sport mostly normal, healthy thumb nails. All I can say is this salon seems to be staffed with good, kind, talented people and I always leave as a happy or satisfied customer. read more

I go back and forth with acrylics and this is the only place I'll go for them. They always stay on and don't break. I've gone places in the past that after a week my acrylic peels up and break my nail but I've never had that happen from Pretty Nails. The staff is always polite and efficient. I'm a cosmetologist so I'm very familiar with state regulations and proper sanitation and they're very clean.. So i moved to the area looking for a new salon and this one was closest to my house, great prices, convenient. But I've been there upwards of 10 times now and have only had 1 good experience. This morning I went because I was able to get a few hours away from my kiddos and was in desperate need of a refill, well I was able to walk right in at 10:05 and get a seat. The woman came up to me as I was picking my nail color (1st color I picked up) told me "that's a good color, let's go" thought to my self well that's rude give me a minute to find the color I actually want but decided to just sit down. She rushed through the whole process and BUTCHERED my nails, like ALL uneven and horrible shapes. Normally I let it slide because I know theres a language barrier but today I spoke up very kindly and told her that's not how I wanted them shaped and they were uneven. On 4 occasions I told her it's not what I wanted and she continued to go and tell me "they look fine". I work in the customer service industry and I'd be dammed if someone had an issue and I told them their wrong. I was dumb founded at the lack of respect and professionalism from this woman. I was visibly upset and getting more frustrated because she refused to correct the many issues I had. So it ended up me having to pay for nails that look like they were done by a 4 year old and I left and will NOT return. Not one to post negatively but for a paying, loyal, 50% tipper to be treated like that is not ok. Yall need to work on your customer service and nail techniques, it's literally YOUR ONLY JOB. Forget about going to get a repair done, they tell you it will be a couple of minutes but 1/2 hr later your still sitting there!
