They are nice but I wasn't happy with the work that was done. I stopped in to get an eyebrow wax and tint and individual lashes. My lashes were falling down on one eye the next day and then the tint on my brows was completely gone before the end of the week. This is a service I normally get at a different place but I needed to get them done on my lunch break at work and this was the closest place that had someone available to do them. read more

So I've been going to Pretty Nails for years. They've had some really good nail technicians, but as often happens, they leave. I went the other day to get my toes done, and I had started only using one particular person who I think is one of the owners. He wasn't there so I had someone else do my nails, I usually get a French pedicure with a design on the big toe. There was hardly anybody in the shop, as it was the middle of the day, and they gave somebody the job to do my toes. She did not know how to do a French manicure well nor did she know how to do designs at all. I told her that I wanted a French with designs which I still had on my toes when I came in. If she didn't know how to do it she should have said so. They called someone else to do it after she messed up, and it was still not done well. Usually the guy who is the owner will redo my toes when somebody messes them up, but this time he told me that they looked pretty. I think that whoever the second person who did my nails is somebody he's related to. Anyway you see the pictures does that look like I should have spent $50 on that? I will never be back. Their customer service has continuously declined. read more

If you are looking for a quick and efficient manicure and pedicure, this is the place. I came here on a Friday night looking to get a no-chip polish change. The technicians told me the wait would be no longer than 15 minutes and it was. The service was pleasant. The technician's dog was adorable and the salon as a whole has a lot of character. There are no frills, bells, or shiny whistles at Pretty Nails however, you will leave with beautiful nails at a reasonable price. read more

Went in on a whim. Really didn't feel like traveling to my normal spot. Was greeted upon entering and promptly serviced. This was surprisingly pleasant since it was early Saturday evening. Received a no chip mani, eyebrows and 1st time lashes from Amanda. Service was great! She picked a color for me and I am SO PLEASED! Normally I choose a color from the OPI line, but I didn't see it at this salon. Hopefully I'm good for my normal 2 weeks. If so, or even pretty close to it, I'll be back to see Amanda! read more

Where do I start let's start with bad customer service they don't greet it's no welcoming energy, the salon if you want to call that is FILTHY!. but the biggest turn off is how the handle their customer with care and very callous like. I went and got my nails done and the guy technician cut my skin with the nail drill do you think he apologized? No and they charged me three extra dollars to cut down my nail I've never heard of that......please ladies save your money they dont care about you just your money! read more

My daughter treated me to a manicure & pedicure $41.00 They closed at 7:00pm we arrived Tuesday 4/12/22 at 5:45pm. Had to wait after two customers. No problem. I want mention the female name but she did a poor job on my feet and nails. At the time I did not realize it, but I noticed her method was different from the male who did my manicure & pedicure the first time. When I got home and removed my slippers my feet were ruff, scatchy. I told my daughter my feet did not feel like they did the first time they were soft & smooth. So I put some aloe foot gel on my feet scrubbed the dried skin myself then my feet felt soft & smooth. Today is Friday, 4/15/22 its 12:50pm my nail polish has chipped off. It was to last 21 days with their No Chip nail polish. The first time I got a manicure the nail polish on my nails last almost 2 mos. I feel like my daughter was ripped off she wasted $41.00 on treating me to a manicure & pedicure with a person who did a con job. Poor job a waste of money. read more

So everyone who gets their nails|feet done knows the struggle of getting a really good service somewhere, and then not being able to go back because you move, your person left, etc. Since moving to the South Shore area I was a bit skeptical on getting a pedicure at a new place because my last place was incredibly good at them and they were cheap. I called around and got some prices, and this place told me a pedicure was $22, I was used to pay $16, but my feet needed to be done so I went for it. I showed up as a walk in and they were slightly busy. I took forever choosing a nail color because they didn't have the shade of red I wanted, but eventually I chose something. I waited for about 30 minutes before I was serviced. There were 3 men in there getting their feet done so it made me feel a little more confident that they'd probably do a good job because men usually have ATROCIOUS feet. I'm not sure of the woman's name who did my feet but she did an AWESOME job, probably the best or 2nd best pedicure I've ever had in my entire life. She actually did my feet like she would probably want someone to do her own. I was highly satisfied with my service, and I would definitely return. Please note there is a charge for using debit. It's only 1 or 2 bucks. read more

Horrible attitudes and staff makes you feel that it is an inconvenience to service you. They will not see another dime of my money. A$$holes. read more

This is the world's nastiest nail salon. They do NOT clean the tools or the pedicure tubs. The brushes have black caked on them. They toss trash bags into the back in the middle of servicing you. And the customers can be quite rowdy as well. read more

I went to this business maybe 20 minutes ago to get two nails repaired. After getting my nails repaired I went two doors down to Snipers to look at gym shoes. After leaving Snipers, I noticed that one of the nails that I just got repaired was chipped. I walked back to the Pretty Nails to ask them to file the nail down. I was told by the gentleman near the front door that wasn't the nail that she repaired. I replied, "So which nail was it?" This exchange went on for maybe 2 to 3 minutes then he became very hostile towards me. This behavior is unacceptable towards a paying customer. Just to think that I was going to give them another shot at my business but that was diminish very quickly. This was an easy fix but I guess my money is not good. No OPI or Essie here, regardless, you still have a big selection of gel colors. I come every 2 weeks for my 'no-chip' manicure that remarkably stays fresh until time to change. Find a girl you like and stick with her- loyalty is key And if you're looking for a "downtown" salon - this isn't the place. It's a hole in the wall but they get the job done right and good. I come here often because there in my neighborhood, they do an excellent job each & every time. I have had acrylics, pedi's, mani's, eyebrow waxes etc & I have never left disappointed. Every technician in here is that good. While it's a lil cramp & not spa like, its a very good nail salon & always packed anytime of day so that should say a lot. read more

Went in today to get my nails soaked off, it's a work thing. I stated that I just needed a soak off and got ready to sit down and wait. Older guy tells me to sit down at his chair, he pours the acetone and go back to finishinG his other client. Which I had no problem with. Then a younger guy comes over and starts working on my nails. He looked like he didn't want to do it. He stats drilling and picking at the nails. A couple times I pulled back my hand because he was just yanking on my arm. He then starts buffering my nails but I felt like he had drilled so much he was exposing my skin/nail bed. Finally he's done, I'm irritated and ready to go. I got up to wash my hands and as I walk back to the station the older guy who helped me at first asks if I wanted clear polish. I just tell him no I just needed the nails off. He's like ok, just $10. The guy who damn near took my fingers off walks up on me and says $10. Like I wasn't already talking to his boss and was reaching into my bag. My bad for only needing a quick service. read more

I use to enjoy going there but yesterday 5/12/2017 was the last straw, the place is dirty, customer service is non existent and they appear to feel they are doing you a favor when they service you. Hy use to be my technician and that ended yesterday after several years of going to her. Why lie when the truth will do. She misrepresented what she told me. Mind you I drove past several nail salons to get to her from downtown Chicago only to wait for an hour and 20 minutes for her to do my nails after calling her. While I spoke to her regarding my concern and my frustration she went on to tell me she was tired about what occurred and why she handled it as she did. Well now she can be tired from waiting on me ever coming back. Instead of taking appointments as most salons do they create an environment of hostility between the patrons. Ladies and gentlemen we should patronize places that make us feel good about spending our money there. Also, what they insist is nail gel is nothing more than acrylic. This place needs to be shut down for bad customer service and the racist comments they make towards people of color. the nail techs always have really bad attitudes and are very lazy and don't care about how they do their work. I went it to get a feet polish change and the lady clearly was very lazy she didn't want to cut down my toes I asked can she cut them down please she got upset then she tried to put my sandals on after she polish my toes and the sandals messed up my toes, when she could have just use the paper toe sandals to being with. So I told the nail techs my feet are messed up can you fix them so I can leave. I got no answer No one said a word I waited for 20 more minutes for someone to fix my feet and still no response. so I asked for my money back and was told no! So I asked well can you fix them now I was told no. I called the police!
