Haley arranges my consignments seamlessly from time of pick up (or drop off) to when the items go live on the RealReal website. The new RealReal boutique on Walton Street is very fun (and quite addictive) to shop. They showcase an excellent selection of jewelry and handbags that I adore. You could easily not even know that you were shopping consignment because the items are pristine and merchandised so beautifully. Chelsea and Julia are spectacular, and I cannot recommend enough for the chic style suggestions and assistance. I highly recommend Chicago RealReal for consigning and shopping!

I confirmed these terms multiple times. I also informed them in advance that I would be bringing 15 bags. I arrived in the loading zone for my 2 PM appointment as instructed. The manager directed me to unload all 15 bags and place them in their intake area so the evaluation could begin. She then told me I could not stay parked there and needed to find parking elsewhere, despite my having asked in advance where to park and receiving no response. I followed her instructions exactly. When I returned, I was told I was late and could not be seen. The same manager who accepted my bags, directed their placement, and sent me to park used the time it took me to follow her own instructions as the reason to deny my appointment. The explanation then changed entirely. This was not a valuation appointment. It was a full onboarding session requiring personal and banking information, which is why they were unable to evaluate even a few of the bags. The exact opposite of what I had been told in writing. When I asked how they planned to evaluate 15 bags in one hour while completing onboarding, there was no answer. What followed was repeated pressure to leave my items there despite my having declined clearly and multiple times. My bags were already in their intake area. The terms had already changed. And they kept pushing. When I pointed out the discrepancy and began documenting the interaction, it escalated immediately. She said "no" when I asked to record the convo; hence, I took a photo, which is legal in a public retail space. The manager moved toward me and put her hands on my phone. When she could not provide any rationale for the misrepresentations, she loudly called security and had me escorted out. As I was already walking out the door, she followed me and loudly threatening to call the police, first over the photo, then claiming I was causing a disturbance because I turned my back to her, as I was actively leaving at her request. No one acknowledged the discrepancy. No one attempted to resolve it. The response to a legitimate concern was escalation, intimidation, and removal. If you are planning to bring valuable items to this location or any RealReal location, confirm everything in writing before you go. Once your items are in their intake area, store, warehouse, the dynamic changes. Update: Within hours of posting this review and submitting a formal complaint, I received an automated email from The RealReal informing me that my account has been permanently closed. No one addressed the physical contact made by their staff member. No one addressed why the terms of my appointment changed after my bags were already in their intake area. No one addressed the pressure I received to leave my items in the store overnight.

Technically this shopping emporium is in suburban Rosemont, and hardcore shoppers from out of town have been known to make some last-minute purchases here before flying out of nearby O'Hare Airport. Most local shoppers drive here, and grouse about the cost of parking to shop here. We arrived via the free shuttle bus that makes a circuit around Rosemont hotspots and connects to the Rosemont CTA Blue Line station. We are not huge shoppers, but we enjoyed checking out a variety of stores and eyeballing the public art installations. There were deals to be had if you wanted them. We also enjoyed a couple of free treats from the wonderful chocolate shops, and there is a decent food court if you need a bite to eat. Amazingly there is also a 7-11 where you can get a beverage or snack, and the prices seem to be the same as those in standard 7-11 stores not embedded in shopping emporiums.

We were shocked, confused, and honestly embarrassed, in public for something we didn't do. They didn't ask politely or explain anything. They just assumed. No proof. No apology. nothing We cooperated and showed them we had nothing, and instead of admitting their mistake, they gave us attitude and let us go like we were guilty. This kind of treatment is completely unacceptable, especially when you treat young customers like criminals just because we're teens or don't "look" like your usual shoppers. We came to shop, not to be profiled or harassed. I will not be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this store to anyone who values basic respect.

While this short poem pretty much sums up my 30-second visit at Oriental Boutique, it is also an acrostic that describes the lady's attitude and the service. I was looking for a traditional Chinese dress (i.e. Qi Pao) for my girlfriend, whom I am going to marry. However, most of the designs cater to kids or tourists (that might explain why most positive reviews were written by non-Asian customers... just saying!) and very few of them are for adults. As someone who grew up in an ethnically Chinese background, I had seen and worn more culturally authentic and better designed traditional gowns and dresses. Many designs displayed in the store seem "oriental" in a western sense or as in what westerners think "oriental" should look like, but this is just my subjective observation and honest opinion. The lady was on the phone all the time, and when I asked her question, she literally answered, "no photo, goodbye." Okay. BYE. NEVER AGAIN! Wish I could have given a zero or a negative number.

Sheffield Ave Chicago a few days ago and two days later I remembered why I ordered the top online ( only one of the size I needed available) and wanted the top back. I phoned the Nordstrom Rack and spoke with one salesperson in the womens clothing section she could not locate the top and seemed to have difficulty understanding my request to locate it. I ended up providing her my contact phone number/ name. A short time later I received a call from a salesperson who identified herself as Ashley and she explained that the initial sales person had difficulty understanding what I wanted. I explained what occurred and my request. Ashley stated she would look into the matter and give me a call back. I ended up phoning Ashley to find out if she was able to locate the top, I was informed by another salesperson that Ashley was at lunch. I identified myself and she stated she would give Ashley the message that I phoned when she returns from lunch. Anyway a short time after my call I received a call from Ashley and she informed me that she was able to locate the top i wanted, though it was like a needle in a haystack to do so. I was able to return to Nordstrom Rack later in the evening and pick up my top. I was also able to meet Ashley who was very nice. I was elated that she took the time to locate my top. Kudos to Ashley for her exceptional customer service.

Kids shoes have a good selection and again better than the burbs. The parking is super easy and connected via elevator.
