I love the juices and healthy meal sets. Always a nice cafe to jump into for a hot drink and French pastry when it starts to chuck down rain. Staff is nice.

Easy place to grab a quick bite to eat. I got the hot chicken Parm wrap and it came in this very interesting cardboard sleeve so you can eat it a little neater. Clean location and nice service.

Pret A Manger is a fun little place to get a quick meal. I first ate at one on my last day in Paris a couple years ago. I was impressed with the quality of meat and bread at this fast casual restaurant in Paris. After eating one too many Italian meals in New York City, I wanted something light. I was happy to see this restaurant in the city. I'm not sure how long they've been here but I don't remember them the last time I was in New York a few years ago. Anyway, you actually grab your sandwich or salad and pay at the register. However, the food is still fresh! There were a couple of employees going up and down the stairs constantly refilling the sandwiches and salads. They're freshly made just before they are brought up. I was happy to see the ham and cheese sandwich I had had in Paris. It was just as good at this location. The meat is very high quality and much better than many sandwich places at home in Florida. I also bought a bag of salt and vinegar chips which were excellent. I am a chip fanatic, especially salt and vinegar and these fit the bill. Plus, I loved the pretty packaging. The cashier was super nice while I fumbled for my credit card. Anyways, this is a nice place to eat if you want to eat on the lighter side.

No shade to the other Prets, but this Pret is the epitome of all Prets. Huge location, tons of seating space, quick and efficient service, corner of the block prime for gazing out the glass windows to watch by-passers or ponder life, and best of all, its salads, soups, sandwiches, and bowls are always fully stocked! If you're there during the late afternoon, you get the most gorgeous reflection of the sunset in the intersection. I got the Moroccan lentil soup today along with a coffee with almond milk. Soup was hot and fresh, and tasted amazing, especially with salt and pepper added in. It's also very healthy and has a significant amount of protein for such a low-calorie item. Coffee was also hot and delicious - not too bitter. WiFi is fast and the location is clean and quiet. This is definitely one of my favorite new Prets in the city.

Is it just me or is this side of the park so much for "classier" than the other part? No shade to the other part of the park, but the T is that this side of the Union Square is better. Cut to The Pret located here on Bway, across the street from Petco where I buy treats for my sweet Teddy. If I need (yes need) a snack, lunch, or coffee, I will usually stop at Pret for a sandwich or soup. I know it's a chain but Pret has THE best coffee of any chain. It's organic and it's always good. The seating in here is relaxing and the atmosphere is zen. That, coupled with the convenient location keeps me coming back.

Looking for an eating place that's open before 10 am and stumbled on this place. They have miso soup (though without tofu) and hot chocolate too. Their sandwiches are fresh and doesn't get sold the next day (if the packaging is to be believed). Their staff was kind enough to help me bring our orders to our table. However, we asked if they could heat up the cold sandwiches and were told they don't do that service. We will not go back to this café again.

Doesn't open on time and very rude staff. Would suggest avoiding this location if you can.

RATING: 4.5/5 | Came on a Saturday late afternoon and it was busy! The line moves, thankfully. It's…read morerelatively spacious for a cafe, but there's minimal seating. There is some counter space, but mainly for standing purposes. I ordered a standard Iced Matcha Latte with Oat Milk ($7.35) and my friend got her usual Iced Strawberry Matcha Latte ($8). Docking 1/2 point bc the matcha is pre-made. I'm a fan of the whisking process bc I do believe there's a craft to matcha overall. Surprisingly, my drink tasted fine and my bev was a good color, so I was pleasantly happy. We waited less than 10 min for a table to open up, but you have to be there at the right time, otherwise you prob just grab your drink + go. Overall, glad I tried Kijitora. It's not my first matcha choice, but it was decent for a standard matcha latte. Their specialty matcha drinks look to have mixed reviews, but I'm personally not a fan of sweet drinks.

I came here today to experience local matcha from Kijitora, a local matcha place that was all about…read morecats! Everything was cat They had a lot of merchandise dedicated to cats! The tote bags were so cute but they were kind of pricey in my opinion. A standard beige Kijitora bag was priced for $30 each! They had several designs for sale. I was just busy checking out the cool cat merchandise while I was waiting in the long line to purchase the matcha drinks. The line was exceptionally long! It was worth the hype though! When I was my turn, I got an iced strawberry matcha latte and an iced mango matcha latte. It was so pretty when I got them. The mango and strawberry paste were sitting at the bottom of the matcha latte. I had to stir and mix the fruits with the whole drink. Surprisingly it was not sweet at all and was just right! They made it in a way that wanted you to crave more of it. It was very addicting. I did not get onigiris this time but will be sure to get some next time I'm here. They were just $4 each for miso salmon, tuna mayo, mentaiko cod roe, sukiyaki beef, and chashu pork. What a decent price for one onigiri! I would definitely be sure to get the miso salmon next time I'm here. The place was very cute with nice little tables for individuals. The place was very cozy with lots of sunlight coming in. Very modern with plants all around. It was so loud with people talking over each other. There were too many people on a Sunday afternoon so I had to walk around or cut through people to get my way. It was that crowded. I also didn't expect this place to be on the second floor and the stairs to be that steep. It was hectic carrying my stroller upstairs. Luckily someone helped me get down! The stairs are very narrow so I had to hold onto the rail. It was not ergonomically friendly at all.

I probably never leave reviews in general, especially negative ones, but this experience was so…read moreegregious that I honestly felt like I had to say something. I've worked in restaurants and bars long enough to understand that staff drinking happens, but this was on another level entirely. I came in with a group of friends and one of the bartenders, Will, was so visibly drunk that it made the entire experience uncomfortable. Slurred speech, wobbling behind the bar, taking orders while chewing food with his mouth open -- it was honestly embarrassing to watch. He looked like he absolutely did not want to be there. At one point, my group had been trying to get his attention for another round for quite a while while he stood around talking with coworkers. We then watched staff take a shot together, and when he finally came over he burped mid-conversation and literally had whatever he had just been drinking dribbling down his neckbeard. That was the moment where the whole thing went from unprofessional to just gross. What made it worse was that it didn't seem isolated to one employee. Throughout the night we watched staff openly taking shots and drinking behind the bar like it was a house party instead of a business. There's a difference between bar culture and complete lack of professionalism, and this crossed that line hard. One of the friends I was with actually frequents the DUMBO location and said that the last time she was there, the same bartender also seemed intoxicated, which makes this feel less like a bad night and more like an ongoing issue. The DUMBO location itself is in an amazing spot, which makes it even more disappointing. But ownership seriously needs to get control of what's going on there before someone gets hurt or the place develops a reputation for having drunk staff on the clock. Unfortunately, the experience was uncomfortable enough that my girlfriends and I won't be coming back. I genuinely hope the employee mentioned gets help if this is a regular thing, because nobody should be working service in that condition.
