First time dining in mangia after always had their catering. Italian Art deco design with hot food, sandwich, salad bar, and cafe bakery sections. Nice options and spreads for a small location. There's limited seating but if you need a dine in table for a group, ask the kind staff for accommodations. I ordered build your own sandwich. Toasted focaccia with mozzarella, roasted red peppers, pesto and olive oil, esta moto bene! Also had almond matcha and blueberry scone. The scone tasted like a southern American biscuit with blueberries. Ask to toast it. Definitely will continue being a patron because the food is mostly made within house and very deliciously fresh. Don't skip mangia!

This place rules! Everything was so fresh. Loved it all. Love the ambiance. Love the lighting. I got a sandwich special with prosciutto and greens and it was so tasty. The pistachio croissant is delicious and loved the inside goo.

This spot has become one of my favorites for fresh salads, sandwiches, and tasty pastries. I love that you can build your own salad with whatever toppings you want, and they offer so many healthy, quick options for when you're on the go. Their prices are reasonable, and the juices are always a refreshing choice. I love their green juice. The food is consistently fresh and delicious, plus they even have fresh fruit available. Seating is offered both indoors and outdoors, though it can get pretty packed during lunch rush hours.

Convenient little spot that has a salad bar, hot soups, fresh sandwiches, a small lunch buffet, pizza, and pastries. Service is efficient and has some seating in the back area where the restroom is. If you need to make a quick stop for something eat in SoHo, this is a good place!

Has I been a little more organized, I definitely would have purchased a bottle-

I had looked into the 57th St. location the day prior, but on this day, Mangia in Soho was much closer, and won the spot for todays lunch. Seems as though no matter what time it is, they are going to be somewhat busy. This was no exception, but the layout here was 'longer' if that makes sense, and for me was easier to maneuver around. I asked about a specific sandwich I saw online, and was directed to the back area where they can customize your sandwiches, etc. Girl working back in that area was friendly and helpful after I explained this was my first visit. I decided to go with the Basil Parmigiano Chicken Salad sandwich on a toasted baguette. I opted for this to go, and there were more than a few cashiers, yet I got the one who didn't really seem to want to be there, in contrast to those on either side of him who seemed friendlier and made small talk. When I asked for a bag, he gave me a plain brown one which isn't what I wanted, but that's okay. There was a lone solo stool facing the wall so I helped myself to this and dug in. This sandwich was pretty good, the pesto wasn't overwhelming, and it was a little messy which is understandable. I'm glad I tried this, but I'll be trying something new on my next visit (which I did the following day). Before leaving, I breezed past again, noticing the takeaway hot meals which looked really good, and I couldn't get past their pastries and cookies. I ended up with two signature shortbread cookies, and I finally got my bag since I had some leftover sandwich as well. In a way, this was a successful trial-run of Mangia, so I'm looking forward to eating here (or another location)-

Sleek, adorable and necessary addition to this side of Broadway since it's mainly all retail. The entrance, decor, cleanliness and service was very welcoming upon my first visit here. Mangia is no stranger to me. I've known them for years in the corporate catering space as well as grabbing lunch when located close to the office. They rightfully boast about being in business for 40 years! My selection was quick since it was an in between time--not quite lunch but way too early for dinner. A bit hungry, I wanted something small. Mangia carries everything from savory to sweets and assorted beverages. I chose a mini mozzarella broiche. That's it along with a Diet Coke. At $7.62 in total, this mini snack satisfied my craving. It was recommended to warm the sandwich and so it was. Quite good. Whenever I'm in the area and looking to grab a bite, it's good to know Mangia is around.

What a find! I was starving and stuck in the SoHo food desert. Venue is very appealing and the options are laid out very simply. Food is all farm to table (at least that's what they said). Employees were all happy and helpful.

Well.. my colleague and I visited Mangia on Broadway and here's an update: this is still a great place for great, delicious and healthy food. One can choose from paninis, fruit salad packaged to go, salad, salad and salad! My colleague headed to the panini line as I checked out the salad: so many delicious options: I made a combo of the shrimp with avocado salad and the fresh tuna with greens and the packaged fruit salad. My colleague chose a crispy chicken panini, chips and a Pellegrino drink. The checkout was a breeze considering the establishment was busy and employees are friendly. ( Note: Salad is priced by weight). Rating: 10 stars for both salads; the shrimp and avocado were dynamite and fresh as was the ahi tuna. The fruit salad was a great dessert with melons, pineapple and blueberries. My colleague loved his sandwich as well. You know the food is great when there is silence for a few minutes. The Soho location is small compared to the Uptown thus seating is limited. Mangia will be my go to for lunch in the Summer.

Dry, Crumbly and taste less... $6. I wouldn't buy their cakes again. I also bought thr berries cakes also the same issue. Not moist at all. Definitely wasted $12.

Pretty from outside and good food inside. A Great place to stop after a shopping spree!

I had a wonderful experience at Mangia in Soho, and I'm disappointed that I didn't come here sooner! With many locations in some of the best places of the city, Mangia stands out from its competitors in ambiance, service, and quality food. The lush greenery of flowers and vines decorating the entry way caught my eye. Upon walking in, I felt like I was in a professional, yet cozy spot in Italy. I also appreciated how they decorated the place with fall elements according to the season! All of their food options -- salmon, salads, pressed sandwiches, and bakery items -- are so fresh and colorful. I decided to get a make your own pressed sandwhich with chicken salad, onion, aioli paste, and arugula. It was very delicious! I knew I was eating something wholesome, fresh, and substantial. My phone died right at the register, and they gave me the sandwhich for free even though I insisted to pay after my phone regained its charge! I love Mangia, and I'm excited to come back! :)

Receipt of item that I paid for that the manager said I "grabbed" for free.

EDIT : i need to address this accusation that i regularly grabbed free drinks. I "grabbed" one Diet Coke which I actually ordered in advance and realized wasn't in my to go bag order - receipt included here. I told a member of the staff that the soda was missing and they told me to "grab" one. Publicly trying to shame people when you forgot to include a pre-purchased item is also no way to treat people. Says a lot about how little they value customers. I was a regular at this location and honestly loved it as it was close to my work and makes delicious salads. I ordered from here 2-3x / week and always ordered a full baguette with my meal but on my last visit the manager told me I had to pay for butter even though I had already paid ~$25 for my salad and baguette. Out of principle I can't order from here anymore - it's shocking to me that a store would treat a regular (the manager recognized me by face every time I walked in) like this and demand additional payment for a condiment that's on the counter to take - especially since the condiment in question pairs with a purchased item. Restaurants should treat their regulars better than this - I was literally spending close to $200/month there before this incident.

Long time supporter of Mangia. I've been to all locations, and SoHo is the one that attracts the most tourists given its convenient location. I must say that the management and service has improved since they first opened here. Fresh smoothies, juices, and antipasto available. Hot bar, sandwiches, salad bar, and pizza made to order. Snacks and pastries to go as well. Doesn't get any better than Mangia. My favorite is the teriyaki salmon over a custom salad. It can be pricey depending on what ingredients you get, but it's so worth it. Limited seating at this location, better for on-the-go.

The…read morepull apart truffle monkey bread was our initial reason for coming, and although the price point was quite steep, I would say it's worth the try. The bread was fluffy and not dry, which I had seen previous reviews say before. Paired with the creamy truffle butter, it had a luxurious mouthfeel. My favorite was the pork chop (cognac, sweet prunes, bacon, rosemary) -- the sweet and soft texture of the prune was melted in my mouth like fat, and the pork was tender, with the rosemary also coming through. The vodka rigatoni was a skip, somewhat bland and one-note, we ended up putting some of the truffle butter and garlic aioli from the fries to make it more flavorful. This was especially in contrast with the spicy shrimp pasta which was much tastier. Also got the strawberry vacherin (strawberry ice cream, meringue, vanilla whipped cream), it was my first time having this dessert. The tartness of the strawberry was great with the fluffy meringue and the sweet ice cream. Service was extremely attentive, and the restaurant is beautifully decorated with moody lighting. Although the space was packed, it didn't feel too loud or crowded. We spent about two hours and didn't feel rushed.

I went on a Thursday night, and the place was absolutely packed. The front feels more like a bar/casual area, while the dining room is tucked toward the back. My reservation was at 10:15 PM, so I actually had a light dinner beforehand and ordered a little lighter than I normally would. I got: - Truffle Monkey Bread ($34.99) - Prime Rib French Dip ($39.99) - Pommes Frites ($13.99) - Banana Split Sundae ($24.99) I thought the prices were definitely on the higher end when I first sat down, but the Truffle Monkey Bread is divine! Honestly, it's probably in my top 3 bread experiences of my life. If you love truffle, butter, cheese, and basically everything good in life, please get this. It comes out slightly warm and is just incredible. I will probably dream about this bread. The French Dip was good, although it was a little too salty for me. If I get the chance to come back, I'd probably try one of their actual steaks instead. The pommes frites were super crispy, basically McDonald's fries but elevated. The Banana Split Sundae was so pretty. I loved how they placed all the little treats around the crevices/imprints of the dish (not sure how else to describe it ). It's huge, though, so definitely don't expect to finish it yourself. I'd recommend sharing it with 3+ people. I was also celebrating an anniversary, and they brought out a strawberry scoop for us. It tasted homemade and really fresh. I could actually see pieces of strawberry in it, which I loved. The restaurant is definitely on the pricier side, and getting a dinner reservation can be a struggle, but I'd absolutely go again if I got the chance. The decor is cozy and upscale, the food was excellent, and the whole place has a really nice atmosphere. My only real complaint was that our waitress kept pushing us to order more, which got a little annoying, especially since we had already ordered quite a bit. Overall: expensive + difficult reservation, but absolutely worth trying. And please get the truffle monkey bread.

Decor/actual restaurant: This particular location is very small and tight with limited in-store seating. The interior is cute, I like the blue color theme they have here. For a restaurant designed for to-go orders, I believe that there could be more waiting room and a couple less chairs. Service: Like many "fast food adjacent" restaurants, the people who work there have good customer service but I imagine deal with the worst. I know they're doing great with the situation they're in. Kudos to them. Food: this is probably my harshest critique. I ordered a pesto chicken sandwich, and it was fine. I don't believe it was worth the $16 I spent though. The chicken was kind of bland, tasted similarly to frozen grilled chicken pieces you buy from a grocery store. I do wish there was more sauce. The pesto tasted good but overall there was too much bread. I fear you would be better off making something like this at home for a comparable price. The bread was good, just too much. I don't want to base the menu on this sandwich alone, a lot of the menu options sounded delicious, but this was just the experience I had!
