But the course has been back open for a few years and there are fairways that are just plain dirt. The green are ok, but are very slow.... I assume to keep them so get don't burn out. In comparison to Palm Harbor that the city took over and re-opened... I had thought the city of Flagler Beach was doing the same with this course but it is in desperate need of a complete grass and irrigation renovation. It is a shame, and I always come back because it would be a really nice 9 hole course (which we do not have any other 9 hole courses around) if they just would make the fairways more playable.

People will honk as you are teeing off and it really takes away from the experience. The course is not well maintained at all. Dead grass all over the place and greens are almost non existent. They have a lack of cart paths too on holes so people just drive wherever they want, killing the grass even more. Its very unorganized as well. Ranger lets people out it seemingly at random. Bad flow of people as we were all bunched up. Waiting for the people in front as well as people waiting for me. All this and its also extremely expensive. I recommend going somewhere just outside Daytona for a much better experience. Crane lakes is one of my favorite spots.
