Pirate's Cove Adventure Golf - Mini Golf Near Me - Ormond Beach, Florida

The lighting for nighttime play is horrible on most holes. There are many places it is impossible to see your putter and ball either because of dark shadows or in order to play your own shadow covers the ball and your putter. The holes are not lit in some places. This is located beachside, where most of the time there is a breeze that carries smoke quite away from smokers. Smoking should not be allowed, as there are many children who frequent this business and the smoke is not good for their lungs--or anyone else's, for that matter. read more

Nice place. Semi-challenging holes. Not as big or good ad their ad suggests. .

Today we went to Ormond Beach as a family to play Putt Putt at Pirate's Cove. We has so much fun!! Calliope was all smiles through most of it but had to have her bottle around the 14th hole. Definitely need to do this one again. It was si much fun. Deacon & Saige really enjoyed doing this. With us! read more

My favorite mini golf course of all time! I been comign here since I was 4 and still go when we visit Florida! Kind of pricey but totally worth it read more

Well done! It is a fun, clean well maintained putt putt. They have 2 courses to choose from and both look equally challenging. On a beautiful fall day 6 of us went into I'm going to win mode and had so much fun. The courses are well laid out around rushing water, rock and beautiful terrain. Loved the cave putt stop and others that gave a vibe to your fun. Aye Matey don't hit your ball into the waterfall like me but if you do it was easily retrieveable. The greens are in great condition the bathrooms are clean. Grab a water for $1 and make memories. read more

Kids of all ages will get a kick out of Pirates Cove Adventure Golf. Our Senior party of 4 had a blast on the "difficult" course. Barring extra points for cursing, most of us came out close to par and everyone had huge smiles from all the laughter. Great photo ops throughout the course. So glad we made the trek across the street from our hotel, Casa Del Mar, worth the $15 per person! read more

Typical putt putt. They offer two courses and "adult" course and a "kiddo" course. Either one is $14 per adult, but if you finish and decide you want to try the other course, or play the same course again it's an additional $6. We had a lot of fun and happened to come when it wasn't very busy, which made it a little more enjoyable not being rushed by a party behind us. My only complaint is that they have a sign saying the next round is $5, but upon asking why we got charged $6 was advised the sign had one word difference and was for a different course. I know it's only a $1 difference, but I thought that was pretty poor on there part. read more

We took our family to this wonderful golf experience and had so much fun. The course is cleverly decorated and very well maintained. Each hole had some pirate lore and was surrounded by lush vegetation. The staff was friendly and encouraged us to take our time to enjoy the day. We will definitely be back. read more

It was fun and our grandsons loved it! There was a coupon online that made it affordable for 4 adults and all the kids played free.

I am obsessed with mini golf, I have been since I was little. I just love the idea of taking the game of golf and sizing it down. I've been to this mini golf place many times since I was a kid and it was so nice coming back with my family and boyfriend for a little friendly competition. They had a special going on for kids to play for only $5, so we got a discount on my little cousin. We chose to play the harder course, however they do offer an easier one for those who are more interested in playing for fun. Things got heated between some of us, because we are all super competitive and determined to win! The staging of the course and the fun decorations throughout really brought the pirate theme to life! We even got to play a hole inside a cave under a waterfall! There are plenty of mini golf places in the area, but I always recommend this one to friends when asked. We had a great time (I won ) and it was nice getting outside and doing an activity with family. read more

Right off the top let me start by taking off a star for the one big glaring negative and that of course would be the price. To me it's unfathomable for a family of four to come here and potentially pay $47 for a round of mini golf. I don't care if Rory McIlroy is on site giving tips it's still insane pricing. Now with that said, read the very end of my ranting to see how you can take at least some of the sting out of the prices depending on the age demographic of your group. While this review so far could be interpreted as being a negative one, trust me it's not. Aside of the pricing issue there is really nothing here at Pirates Cove not to like. The day we played it was late afternoon on a weekday and both courses were mostly deserted. This meant of course no issues with parking and no issues with getting bogged down with other groups/families/individuals. We chose to play the course on the left side which I guess is the "expert" or harder course. It certainly wasn't the hardest course I had ever seen or played, that would still be without question Caddy Shack in Manheim, PA especially for anyone looking to get a snowman on a triple tiered hole #1, but it certainly had some teeth. Central to the Pirates Cove/Pirates Island chain is of course the placards on each hole telling you the professional life story of Blackbeard. It's cheesy but there's nothing wrong with some wiki-style education while playing golf. The one thing that cannot be questioned here is where the money goes from the high admission price. It clearly gets put back into the physical plant which is why this place the same as the one in Daytona looks amazing. Easily the best looking course I have ever seen in terms of the simple and non-sexy job of keeping everything in working order & not having any garbage around & most importantly keeping the carpets in perfect condition. If you're in the area and want to play a solid round of mini golf on a beautifully landscaped course that is kept in great shape, this is where you need to play. If you go: The course is open daily year round but I think the hours change a little bit seasonally. FWIW, the website lists both the courses here and in Daytona Beach Shores as being from 9am-10pm but I swear when we played in December they were closing at 9pm but I might be misremembering that one. Prices: $13.00 for adults $10.50 for kids 5- 12 4 and under play FREE $5.00 extra rounds $7.00 upgrade to all day www.piratesislandgolf.com/local/upload/file/coupons/webcoupon_PC_OrmondBeach.pdf The above is a BOGO coupon for one free kid for every adult and I can tell you first hand that they don't limit it to one per family or household or group. Also worth noting is the extra round pricing. If you play at this location you can play a second round for $5 per round on either course here or at the location in Daytona Beach Shores. read more

My credit card number was stolen a few days after visiting here. My husband and I were in Ormond Beach for the Labor Day weekend and this was the only place I used it. Be very careful. My husband also had his credit card number stolen that weekend. We plan to pay cash from now in Ormond Beach. read more

Very nicely kept putt putt course that I would highly recommend! The kids loved it! Will return to do the second course in the future

This course could use a little more shade but was in beautiful shape with really well kept greens. The Blackbeard course had a nice challenge variety, everyone had one great hole. The staff was friendly as well. read more

Mini-Golf with pirate theme for a fun family day. The parking is ample and safe nearby. The workers are kind and very safe during CoVid. Even prior to CoVid I had a great experience. The place is themed wonderfully to make the experience interesting, educational and somewhat competitive. There are two fun courses with varying difficulty. It is a great way to spend the day with older family members, kids, or friends. I recommend this place for a fun date. The weather was nice and breezy so it was easy to play both courses and have a good time reading about the pirate anecdotes. If you are with someone older choose the BlackBeard's Course and if you're willing to climb more for a nicer view pick Captain Kidd's Course. I brought my mom to play, she complained about some of the stairs at first but enjoyed as we went on. Plus there was more shading with the cavern and such areas to go through. My date enjoyed the Captain Kidd's course for the view and more interesting courses. read more

Fun activities for all family members ! We had a wonderful time and will be back for sure!

Average golf course which could of benefited from some better obstacles. Scenery is nice with a view of ocean from some holes. 13 dollars a round or 18 for 36 holes. Sunk a hole in one on 12 and got a free game. Kids enjoyed it if your looking for something to do other then the beach. read more

This mini golf place is amazing! It's huge. It has two 18 hole courses one is kind of just like regular and the other is more challenging. The waterfalls and scenery is beautiful! Won a free round token for getting a hole in one on one of their "lucky" holes. Will definitely be back! Highly recommended read more

This is a family go to place for us. We don't play your standard mini golf, we buy admission to both courses and play a "skins game". Whoever completes the whole in the least amount of strokes wins the hole. The more players, the harder it is to win since a tie doesn't give anyone a point. While it does make for a shorter game, it makes for a very competitive round (or rounds). It also allows us to skip holes that are currently occupied and return to them prior to the 18th. Enjoy your rounds of golf, and if we run into each other there... GAME ON!! read more

My family and I came here during our visit to Flagler beach. We did the cave route which had 18 holes. There isn't a lot o shaded areas so I would suggest if you go in the hot weather, to not forget your sunscreen. There is a water fountain half way through though. My family had a great time. This place is also extremely easy to get to from A1A. The music in the speakers all over was tasteful too-U2, Bob Marley, Matchbox Twenty, Etc. The girl at the front was very sweet. Price wise I think it was a little pricey ($12.50 a person) read more

Very fun and very well maintained. Loved the landscaping. We took the hard course. Alot of bumps and obstacles in the way but not that hard. They had a water fountain half way through and a coke machine and ice cream at the end. Very fun and family oriented- read more

Great little spot to spend an hour of time having fun. There's an easy course to have more fun, and a harder one to present more of a challenge. We chose the harder one and had no problems with it. We went around 9 pm and it was definitely busy, but we didn't have to wait that often. Both easy course and "difficult" course have 18 holes so plenty of time to have fun. Overall it was a good spot to have a little fun. read more

This is one of the best mini golf places I've been to because of the many features that went into its design. The courses were good, the skeleton and pirate themed decorations were whimsical, the plaques were amusing, and the sea chanties were delightful. I also noted that the putters and balls were sanitized. Everything is beautifully maintained. Its appearance was that of an almost- new place, but I saw from one review that it's at least 4 years old. The woman staffing the desk was very friendly, too. We enjoyed our game here! read more

So much fun here!! They are taking COVID-19 precautions and sanitizing each putter after its use. They have a more challenging and a less challenging course. We did both and had sooo much fun. Highly recommend for any and all age groups! read more

I had so much fun!! The course takes about an hour. Really cool obstacles with a great pirates theme. Just what you need to relax. Its about 11.50 per ticket for adults. Buy 3 games and get one game free. Two different courses. Beginner and advanced! Both great! read more

Great miniature golf excursion! Two courses to choose from...we had three little kids but a large party before us chose the easy course, so we went the harder course. It was tons of fun and not too difficult for the kids!! The children enjoyed the hole in the cave...that was neat! They were also given pirate hats and pirate flags afterwards which was a nice touch to end the evening! Grounds were very clean... landscaping well manicured. Loved the signs to read about plants and Blackbeard while we're waiting! Pricing was a tad expensive, but that's to be expected in a beach town! Hubby said it was the best course he has ever done. Overall, a great night and would definitely bring the family back! read more

I had a lot of fun here! The staff was friendly and the place is beautiful. There's two different courses you can play, I did the more difficult one and had a great time. Best tour mini golf in Daytona beach! In total, there are 36 holes with 2 courses. Many people go to this attraction, but it's entertaining and it passes the time. You can get hole-in-ones on certain holes to get prizes, like a free game. I recommend this place to anyone who is bored or has kids. The breeze is nice and cool, and feels best while on top of the mountain. Best places I've been to in a while! read more

Refused to ring up one game of golf for one person. Wouldn't explain why. Very rude and led us to the wrong course. Worst customer service ever. read more

I had just learned to like playing mini golf at a different course in Port Orange which was not very well-maintained. By comparison, this place is stellar. Well-maintained, clean, played the harder course, which is challenging but intentionally so (as opposed to bad maintenance leaving holes in wooden areas to lose your ball in). Even got a free game for getting a hole in one on a hole marked for it. The token for the free game is good forever, but it won't need to be. The next time we're near one of their locations, we're going! read more

We needed to waste some time before leaving for the airport so we stopped here for a round of 18. It was early in the day so it was not crowded. They have 2 courses and I think we were the only ones on this particular one which is really nice because you know many of the mini-golf patrons are kids and they take FOREVER... You get a change to get a free game if you get a hole in one on 3 different holes or you can get another game for $3 after you finish the one you just paid for. Prices are average. There are plenty of pretty colored balls to pick from and different size putters. You can entertain yourself by reading the story of the pirates all through the courses. read more

As far as mini-golf places go, this is probably the best I've ever seen, but beware: it's a bit pricey. Two 18-hole courses provide plenty of family-friendly entertainment. My wife and I tried Blackbeard's Challenge and enjoyed it very much. It's a solid course with some unique challenges. Although we're visiting during the slow season, I'd recommend giving this place a try. read more

Although we had a fun time golfing, the prices were kind of high for the 18 holes we played.

At the end of the 18 holes a guy comes out of some booth and offers a ball asking if you need an extra. After asking more questions to see if your on vacation. He offers his global connections scheme. Parasailing, gift cards, vacation packages and so on. Then he needs you to pay 20 bucks and come to there event to try to reel you deeper into there tourist trap. Real shady business global connection! Not sure why pirates cove allows them to have a booth there. Watch out for pickup lines on your last hole. read more

Great facility - clean and well maintained. Two different 18 hole courses. Fun for kids and adults. A bit pricey (hence 4 instead of 5 stars) but it is worth at least one visit while you are in the area. read more

Two separate courses. I played the easier one of the two on my last visit. The course is not too hard, but is challenging. During my visit there were many groups of players, causing my group to wait a minute or two at some holes and causing the smaller group behind ours to wait sometimes. Players over 12 cost $10. A second game is $13, and a full day of play is advertised as $12. read more
