I've been to this dry cleaner twice in the last 3-4 months or so and I've had absolutely no issues with them. Each time I've gone in, the owner was courteous and helpful. If I recall, they have later hours in which they stay open, until 7 PM, I think. That comes in handy if you're running late. read more

The staff here is super friendly. They remember my name, and they always put my friend's clothes on my account and ask how I am, if he ventures on his own. I don't have a lot of dry cleaning needs, so I've never shopped around and can't really speak to the price and if it's more expensive or not. But, this place is always prompt and the press job is always straight and neat looking. I came recommended by a friend who used to work across the street, and she had mentioned that this place always got impossible looking stains out. DO NOT DO NOT take anything here! I took them my daughters letter jacket to be dry cleaned a week before homecoming! She is a senior and a cheer leader. So the letter jacket is a big deal. I dropped it off on Friday. I was very specific that I wanted it dry cleaned and wanted to make sure that the sleeves did not end up stiff. They ensured me that they would be ale care of it and told me it would be ready the next day. I actually didn't go in to pick it up for a few days. They asked for payment before they brought they jacket up. That's where I actually got lucky because I had to go back to the car to get my debit card. When I returned the man turned the jacket around and the purple had faded on to the white letters. The old man then told me that it wasn't their fault. Changed his story a few times, even said my daughter must have spilled something on it. ON HER BACK???? Then they told me that I needed to contact the jacket manufacturer and have them pay for it. Would never except responsibility for ruining the jacket even blamed it on me for bring it to them. The jacket is faded in several spots and homecoming is 2 Days away. I refused to pay and they moved the jacket off the counter and told me I couldn't have it until I paid for it. In tears I called my mother. We didn't get the jacket until we threatened to call the police. My daughters letter jacket is ruined. I can not believe they wouldn't admit they ruined it. If they would have called me and told me what they did I could have had time to have the letters replaced.DO NOT use them for anything that you care about. I've used this cleaners for about 5 years. My clothes are always perfect. They don't put anything on men's shirts (such as an iron-on tag with shirt owner's name), which is nice. I've also had them do alterations on two occasions and those came out nicely, too. The staff is always smiling and friendly. They also give reusable red bags to put your dry cleaning in, for drop off after-hours in their overnight drop slot. They are higher priced than 'value' cleaners, but if you want your clothes done correctly, it's a very fair price. When you drop something off it is always ready for pickup at 3PM the next day. Or, for a premium, they also offer rush service. They do a great job with suits and suede. Highly recommend this cleaners! read more

I took a bundle of clothes into this cleaners for CLEANING. When I picked up my clothes my pants were frayed and ruined. When I asked them, telling them that these were new pants that had never been cleaned. They said the pants came in that way. I took the pants to another cleaners and showed them the pants. They said the pants had been washed. They explained that these pants should have been cleaned (which I had requested). not washed.. They were very rude and uncooperative. They took NO responsibility. I regret ever using this cleaner! I live a hundred miles away, but I was working in the area for A few months. I dropped off an irreplaceable leather jacket to be cleaned. They told me to pick it up in one week. I returned in a week, and they did not have my coat. They explained that it wasn't their fault because they "sent it off to be cleaned". I did not fully understand this, considering the big sign on the building that says "cleaners", but I digress. They said that they would have it back the next week. I returned in a week, and they still did not have it. At this point, my job was complete, and I would not be returning to Harrisonburg. They asked for my address, and promised to ship my jacket to me as soon as they got it back. Another week passed, and I called to find out why I still did not have my property returned to me. I spoke to the owner who explained that I had to pay for the cleaning before he would ship my jacket. I really think it should have been complimentary considering the fact that it had been almost a month since I dropped it off, but I paid him over the phone. Rip off! I dropped a man's suit and 2 shirts off and they had a big sign in the window saying 30% off dry cleaning. The owner, an Asian man told me it'd be $11 for the suit and $1.49 per shirt plus 30% off. I went to pick up my stuff today and I'm now told it's $11 after the 30% off which includes tax and the shirts were $1.49 with NO discount. After looking at my receipt, I don't understand how if the suit was originally $13.95, that they came with $11 after tax. I get $10.57. I asked the owner why he doesn't post prices and he said he can't. REALLY? I never pay cash at these sorts of establishments.I pay my taxes and they should too! DO NOT USE PRESTON CLEANERS! They do not even deserve a "1" rating! I dropped of 4 pairs of paints and 11 shirts to be cleaned. I returned to pick up my cleaning and was handed the same number of items on hangers. When I got home I realized I had part of my order and part of someone else's with the same last name. I took the clothes that were not mine back to the cleaners the next morning and the lady told me that the other person picked up their order the prior day as well and that he must have gotten mine as well. She stated that she would contact him to get my close and call me back. I NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK! I went back to the cleaners and the lady began to tell me different stories. Every time she spoke it was something different. I told her that I needed my pants and I needed them to resolve the issue. She then stated I had received everything I was going to receive and that if I had anything further to say I would have to "take it up with Mr Lee!" After several attempts, I finally got through and talked to Mr. Lee and he acted like he was too confused to understand what I was saying. He kept saying that I picked up the same number of items as I dropped off and he made no mistake....even after I continued to state that I returned several of the items I picked up and still needed my remaining items. He continued to laugh at me and act as though he couldn't communicate enough to understand the issue. I've used this business for over 5 years. During that time, there have been a few issues but the most recent issue was the last straw. I recently took a very nice shirt in to be cleaned. Upon return, I noticed that several buttons were SHATTERED. When I realized this, I took the shirt back and the owner of the shop proceeded to blame the shirt for the fact that his personnel shattered the buttons. He suggested I write to the manufacturer of the shirt to get replacement buttons. I said that the buttons on the shirt must match; his response was that they don't need to. All he did was make excuses for his staff and, by extension, himself. He never offered to repair my shirt nor did he offer any form of financial compensation for the damage HIS business caused. Today, I picked up my final garment from his shop and returned my laundry bag as well. He became extra defensive and when I told him I would not return my business to him, he said "good". He was insufferably rude! I am the injured party, not him. If you own a business and you make a mistake, you OWN it! You do NOT make excuses for your mistakes and/or ineptitude! I take several dress shirts each time, they lost one and told me I only brought in the number they gave me back. Then I starting counting at home, had them count and write on my receipt. The second time they lost a shirt they claimed they wrote the wrong number on my receipt. They have lost/stolen two shirts from me and claim that I was mistaken on my count. I described the shirt I was missing the second time and they claimed there is no way they can lose a shirt. If you take multiple shirts in, count in front of them and have them recount and write on your receipt. If you want to gamble with your clothes, this is the cleaners for you. do not go here!!! they ruined my wedding head piece!!! i bought a wedding head piece that had a few dark marks since i bought it used..thinking a dry cleaners would do a better job and take more care than i could i decided to take it here. they said they would be able to remove the spots...i wasnt hoping for new just a fresher cleaner head piece since i will be wearing for my wedding. instead--- when i got my head piece i almost broke into tears!!!!! there were dark yellow/brown allllll over!!!! even worse much worse than before!!! my fiance went back in immediately explaining that they ruined my head piece and demanded they replace the cost and that they made it worse with the stains all over. it was even warped! the owner said they didnt make it worse and that it was that bad when they accepted it! liars!!!! straight up liars wouldnt even admit they completely ruined it! they wouldnt even give us a refund of 10.00 bucks!!! when my fiance demanded. they said they used soap to clean it! wtf!! i would of never taken it here if i knew they were just gonna use soap!!! i could of used soap in my own home!!!!! they didnt even use professional dry cleaner product!! do not go here. it is two weeks before my wedding and now i will have to find another head piece and the one i bought was one of a kind and irreplaceable. completely unprofessional and rude owners. i would of least expected them to admit that they ruined it when they attempted to clean my head piece. never again!! learned my lesson that not all business owners are honest and good people. please if you do not want your garments to be ruined or have brown and yellow spots especially silk or white pieces do not have them clean! save yourself the agony, anger and stress!!! read more

I have been going here for years and yes they are friendly until they ruin your clothes!! I gave them a dress to clean and when they returned it to me there was pulling and scraping of the fabric that was not there before. When I showed him, he kept blaming me and said it was the wear down of the fabric. When I told him that the dress had only been worn once, he then tried to backtrack saying that they don't know how the fabric will react when they clean it. Aren't you supposed to be a professional and know how and what to use when cleaning fabrics?! At least the reviewer before me that had a similar experience got a refund for her cleaning bill. They offered me nothing but told me to take it back to the store and have them deal with it - so I'm supposed to take it back to the store and say "my cleaners ruined my dress please return / exchange it please"..yeah right!
