He did video walkthroughs of houses for us, and gave honest opinions about the areas/homes/etc. We quickly found a home that checked most of our boxes and he helped us place a competitive offer that was accepted. But that's where the awesome customer service ended. Once our offer was accepted, we were handed off to his assistant, Liz, and virtually never heard from Marcus again. We signed our paperwork with a mobile notary on the west coast on Friday, packed up our house on Monday, and by Tuesday I was flying to Nashville with our infant, and my husband hit the road in our car. Unbeknownst to us, our signing paperwork got stuck with FedEx because of the 2021 snowstorm -- leaving me and my infant stranded in a Nashville hotel for five days while my husband made his way across the country.  Liz seemed to not even realize we had made the move, and no one sympathized or offered any support to the fact I was stranded at a hotel with a 12 month old. (Thankfully I packed extra baby diapers and food). When we finally were "allowed" to take possession of the house, it took another five days to physically get the keys. (Had to remind Liz to get them to us) In our purchase agreement, a portion of the money was to go to a contractor that Marcus referred to us.  That contractor was unreliable and had horrible communication. I copied Marcus on the four months of e-mails between us and the contractor -- so he was aware of the problems we were having with his referral - but he never said anything. The contractor never finished his job, and finally returned the unused portion of the funds after weeks of radio silence. Surprisingly, about six months after we moved, a Heflin Team koozie and thermos showed up on our doorstep at 8am. No note, no knock, still no actual "Welcome to Tennessee" from anyone at the Heflin Group. All-in-all, while I appreciate the fact that we found a home quickly and our first offer was accepted, I won't be using The Heflin Team on any future real estate business because they really dropped the ball before the game was over. *The mortgage person he connected us with was amazing, though!

We were really picky in what we were looking for, and he was super patient and got us into all the homes we wanted to see quickly. He's great at offering insight with regards to contracts and inspections, and helped us make decisions that kept us competitive in a tough market. I can't recommend Marcus and team enough. He's a great relator, and a great dude.

Although we purchased in a different location, we had to stay with Tyler at Marshall Reddick because of the amazing service. After several weeks of research, he found us the next perfect purchase. His connections and network made it possible to get a deal done. We are thankful for him & his team for their efforts. Me and my wife cannot recommend Tyler or Marshall Reddick highly enough.

I explained that I understood repairs could take a few days if something needed to be fixed, but I never expected to deal with ongoing A/C problems for more than 2 months. Since moving in, the A/C has repeatedly stopped working. I have now been informed that drywall will need to be removed so that ductwork can be installed to vents that were apparently never connected to the A/C system. Finding out that the home has missing or improperly connected ductwork after moving in is extremely concerning. I also never received a move-in inspection before taking possession of the property. Because I rented the home sight unseen, I expected there to be an opportunity to document the condition of the property when I moved in. That never happened. Now I'm almost positive I'll lose my security deposit even with all the videos and pictures I took prior to moving my stuff in. If you are considering renting through Marshall Reddick, I would strongly recommend documenting everything yourself, keeping all communication in writing, and thoroughly inspecting the property before signing or taking possession. And if A/C is a BIG make-it or break-it, like it is for me, then good luck trying to get them to put it into your lease contract. They'll just reassure you it will be just fine. Then months later during the summer you barely have A/C.
