The Good: -wide bakery selection with beautiful presentation -love their late hours so full time working people can actually buy stuff without taking a vacation day for it...gosh, the number of bakeries that close at 1pm/2pm and all of Sunday...how do working peeps get to enjoy fresh baked treats?! The Bad: -super high prices. Higher than bigger city prices in Toronto, NYC, Philly, Chicago, etc. bakeries! -no prices marked on any product. This is such an a$$hole move of any business. Make it an extra step for the customer to ask for each item's price or just to sticker shock them when everything is scanned and they are not prepared for the total -service. The young man behind the counter was pretty rude and impatient. He refused to serve me without a ticket (it was my first time here and nobody in front of me so I wasn't holding up anyone) and then was curt when I asked him questions about a few of the pastry flavors -organization/logistics. Speaking of the ticket system, I know at busier times, a ticket system is the way to go (from experience at the Strip District at the Italian market) but then either place the dang machine RIGHT at the entrance facing customers to force them to take a ticket before entering the store or be nicer and prompter about reminding them at the counter. When I stopped by in the evening on a Wednesday, there were only 3 other customers in the store and they were already waiting for their order. There was no one in front of me so I went straight to the counter to give my order. The worker there interrupted my order and told me to get a ticket even though he could have just served me since there were literally no others ahead of me...by the time I grabbed a ticket and went back to the counter, a small crowd of people had gathered before me...womp womp. -no parking because it's Little Italy and parking is always a nightmare -taste of their items is only okay. The cream puff was good but it's almost $7 and not very big. I'm longing for German Village's giant cream puffs that could feed 3 people for only $5 in Columbus but this is NOT it. read more

Grab a ticket when you come in to 'get in line' to order your food!! Whether you're ordering food to-go or dining in, it's all the same line with the numbered tickets. Think about and know your order before you get in line, they work pretty quickly. There is always a massive line to order food here, and I've been here on a number of occasions (pastries to go/dine in). The coffee can be a hit or miss here depending on who makes it. Personally, I do not like their cookies (think more Italian mini cookies), but I know they're super popular. They're priced per pound. I'll list a few of the many items I've tried before: +Tiramisu: I always get their tiramisu, it's the best I've had in Cleveland so far. It usually doesn't disappoint, I've only had it one time where the mascarpone tasted a bit off/old. +/-Pepperoni and Spinach Bread: I think they're both pretty dry. I think itThey're supposed to be stuffed with provolone, but I don't think there's enough cheese at all. There's also a lot of food in the deli counter, and a variety of salads (tuna, egg, etc.). I would ask the employees there for their honest feedback on the salads. I wanted egg salad one day, and the employee who helped me advised me against it (it looked kind of old). Presti's bakery is one of those places where its reputation is justly deserved. I took my brother out to Little Italy as he had never been and we walked into Presti's bakery, not forgetting to grab a number by the door as it was VERY busy! The bakery, although over 100 years old, has updated decor and a long counter that runs wall-to-wall filled with baked goods as well as hot foods like sandwiches and prepared salads. While we waited for our number to be called, we decided to split a cannoli and a cassata cake slice. Wow! The first bite of the cannoli can only be described as life changing because it had the perfect crunch and a nice, lemon-y flavor that packed a good punch! The cassata cake was the real star of the show, however. All the components, to the rum-soaked sponge cake to the layers of strawberries were fresh and not too sweet. The prices are a little high, but for the taste and quality, we found the prices to be worth it. Will definitely stop in again! read more

Upon entering, you need to grab a number at the door and wait to be called upon. Line moves pretty quickly even when it's crowded like it was for us on a Sunday afternoon about 2pm. Ordered two chicken parmesan sandwiches, drinks and some pastries. (chocolate cannoli, cream puff, chocolate mousse and cookies). Large cookies are $1.50 each and smaller cookies are $22 a pound. Pastries tasted better than the sandwiches. Maybe, you'll have better luck with the Stromboli, pizza or hot ent There are places to sit but if you're sitting with a group, you will have to put a few tables and chairs together. Stopped in on my way to a get together nearby. Wanted to grab some dessert to share. Walked in, it was packed. There was a sign to grab a number, so I did. I waited about 25 minutes before getting up to the counter. They had 4 people taking orders at the counter. Ordered a box of assorted cookies, 4 cannolis, a pepperoni bread, a slice of artichoke pizza. Spent $36. Everything I had was pretty good. Pretty impressed w/ Presti's. Place was packed, Huge line on a Friday at 4pm. Took about 15 mins to get served. Ordered a box of various Xmas cookies. They had a huge selection & we tried over a dozen types. Some were better than others. Tried slice of prepared pizza too for dinner later. Warmed up nicely. Everything tasted pretty good. Liked the many tables available to sit at & wait. Prices were a bit steep on some items but it goes with the location. They could use some more help as it was almost 30 mins to get outta there w/o eating. Definitely try it again next time we're in Little Italy. read more

God this place is heavenly and authentic. Note: Grab a ticket from the dispenser as soon as you walk in. It'll be busy and they serve you in order of when you arrive. Pretty neat and effective. The numerous 5 star reviews led us to check this place out in the heart of little Italy. The tiramisu is out of the this world. Best I've ever had. Not even close. This place was busy for a Monday dinner hour. Tip: Take a number for service! I missed it when I entered and thought I was going to miss my chance at a cannoli. Luckily, I was able to snatch one and a creme brûlée. The cannoli was overly sweet and felt dry eating through it. The creme brûlée surprised me at how not sweet it was (which is a good thing!) The let down of the creme brûlée is that that I know it's been sitting there for some time because the top doesn't crack as smoothly when it gets torched. It was meh, I would pass for another Bakery. I've heard a lot about Presti's Bakery since I've moved to Cleveland. I decided to make the trip after an exhausting work day. When I walked in, it was a little confusing if I need to get a ticket number to get my order taken or if I can just speak to the one of staff members. As I browsed across the large variety of pastries, cakes, and cookies (and a few savory items), one of the staff members behind the case took my order. I got a slice of cheese pizza, tiramisu, raspberry thumbprints and raspberry linzers. The slice of cheese pizza was honestly depressing. It mimics a low quality cheese pizza chain -- the sauce was great but the crust and the cheese was giving lunchable pizza vibes. It was $2 dollars but honestly...wasn't even worth it for me. I would rate it a 1/5. 2 raspberry linzers and 2 raspberry thumbprints were $4 total. I would say kind of expensive for how small those are but hey if they were good, I would still buy it! Unfortunately, I'm not a fan. I was expecting a almond based cookie or shortbread cookie with raspberry filling but I got a weird lemony taste with a raspberry filling. It's not terrible but definitely unexpected and not my favorite. Personally, 3/5. And for the most reviewed item, the tiramisu. I don't know what authentic tiramisu necessarily tastes like but out of all of the tiramisus I've had, this was definitely in the top 5. The mascarpone was so creamy but didn't feel too heavy. It wasn't overall sweet or too bitter, honestly the ideal combination of flavors. 5/5 in my opinion. Overall, Presti's didn't live up to the hype. Out of all the items I've had today, I would only really come back for the tiramisu. If I do come back for whatever reason, I would probably try the artichoke pizza but very unlikely. read more

If you ever visit Little Italy you know how challenging it is to find parking in this area! Somehow I managed to be at the right place at the right time and get street parking just as someone was leaving on a late Friday afternoon. So, I decided this was the day I'd finally try Presti's Bakery! When you enter, be sure to get a paper ticket number because they only place orders as your number is called. The treats look distracting, but don't run to them first without getting a number. I made that mistake and ended up waiting even longer because I didn't get a ticket. Its always busy and with just 2-3 people working expect long waits. They sell everything from gelato to cakes to pastries, pizza, bread, and some deli items like salads, sandwiches, and pastas. Very good selection of items! They also sell coffee, water, and other cold drinks. There is no price listing for most items, which can be annoying since the staff is only focused on helping whichever number they've called up. I found out the desserts are $20 per pound. My small box of mixed kolachi, biscotti, and nut rolls came to $10. I have to say my favorite item was the 'date nut roll.' Excellent!! After I took a bite, I wished I could walk back in and get more! Sadly that would have been a very long process to get another number and wait again. All of the other items were very good. Seating inside is ample with tables and booths. Lots of families come in. Overall, great treats! Parking will always be a problem in the area and a bit of patience is needed with the whole pick a number and wait. So, this is not a quick grab and go place (depending on when you go). Free wifi. Stumbled upon Presti's during a weekend trip for a Steeler game and have already returned again. The cold salads are delicious (try the tomato tortellini omg) and the baked goods taste as good as they look. The NY Cherry cheesecake is what dreams are made of. I wasn't super impressed with the lady lock I got and prob won't get that again (tasted stale, wasn't flakey, and filling was gritty) but everything else has always been delicious. I wish they had an almond croissant option but there's certainly no shortage of other baked goods! read more

This is a destination bakery located in Little Italy in Mayfield. When it's summer, outside seating is the best, plus U you can bring your DOG. In the winter there's plenty of seating but it's incredibly loud and a bit cold inside. HINT: BEFORE U GET IN LINE- go up to the counter and take a # ticket THEN get into the line. Be prepared for very long and very slow moving line as you wait to order. Then be prepared for a long wait AFTER ur order! I think the food is average, I think the baked goods in are average. HINT: If ur going to get a hot drink like a cappuccino or latte, ask for a paper cup because the ceramic coffee cups are shallow and wide and your drink will be cold by ur first sip. From breads, to cookies, to various pastries, it's hard to decide what you want because you'll want it all. We were served not just cold, but frozen slices of tiramisu. 10+ generations of my Italian ancestors are rolling around in their graves. We heard another table next to us also shocked by this new and unintentional spin on tiramisu. This ice cream cake tiramisu unfortunately tells me one of two things 1. Back around Thanksgiving 2019 I called around for a carrot cake and this place popped up on my radar. What I didn't ask and assumed was that they had carrot cakes available the day of. When i arrived, i was told it's a weekend item and available on weekdays if you call ahead. One of the team members did me a solid and whipped one up for me. Instructed me to come back later. I was more than happy. The carrot cake was well received by the birthday person and everyone loved it. There's a white chocolate sheet that runs through the middle of the cake and gives it a crunch. That was amazing in texture and flavor. I would say the lobster tail pastry was just a tad stale but nothing to stop me from buying more in the future. A few days later we stopped in for coffee and dessert. All the desserts were on par to the quality of the carrot cake. It was unanimous the coffees were not exactly the best.
