The last review of this place was in 2012 and people tend to review more frequently if it's something negative so I figured I'd post my experience with Prestige yesterday. I woke up to my Samsung Galaxy Nexus doing some crazyiness so I pulled my battery after that the phone would not boot up past the "google" logo. I tried pulling the battery mulitple times, fast boot, recovery mode, clearing the cache, and wiping the phone. Nothing worked. I first went to Verizon to see what they could do. All they wanted me to do was upgrade my phone for an extra $10/month for 2 years, $30 upgrade fee, and $99 for the phone itself. There was not way I was paying $370 for a new phone if I could possible get it fixed so I went to Prestige. The owner was going to attempt to reflash my phone and told me if it doesn't fix there would be no charge for service. So I let him try it out. About an hour later he called me and told me he found a parts phone and whether or not I wanted to wait for the flash or he'll just replace the motherboard. So I had him go ahead with the replacement since he was only going to charge $10 more than the reflash. About 4 hours later he called that the phone is good to go. So I got my phone fixed fast and for about the price of a new video game. Awesome service! Thanks Russ. read more

I took my iPad 4 to replace a cracked screen and the owner asked to leave my iPad for a more comprehensive analysis. Next day he told the repair will cost me $200. I told him I rather keep using it with a broken screen since it was fully functional. When I went there to pick it up I realized they had removed the screen and totally destroyed it. Basically, they destroyed my fully functional iPad without my authorization. He then offer to replace the screen if I give him a replacement one. So, I bought the screen and took to them. What a mess! They not even glued the new screen in the frame so it's completely loose. Also, is missing the bracket that holds the power/display cables. They are unprofessional and technically unable to make even a simple repair. I believe my only choice would be to take them to Small Claims Court. Please, find somewhere else to get your devices repaired!! read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. My fiancé took his phone in to get the screen fixed and when he went to pick up his phone and the PHOTO ALBUMS were open, on very personal photos of myself (if you know what I mean). He was told there was nothing wrong with his phone and that it was just dust. I feel extremely violated and would never EVER EVER recommend getting your phone fixed here. read more

I thought the bad reviews were a little crazy then I dealt with this place. I dropped my phone off on a monday got told about 2 days. After calling everyday finally got my phone on saturday at 5pm. The owner went so far as to tell me he didn't know if they guy that fixes the phones for him was even working on friday when I called in. Within 4 days the screen started to come unglued, took it back and 3 days later still no phone. Such much for customer service! UPDATE Took him a week to re-glue the screen and when I picked it up it was still seperating from the bezel his reply - "thats just the way it is" I am like that would have been nice to know before I paid you $170 to fix my phone. I was surprised to see the bad review of Prestige. We've been doing business with them for years, and the owner treats every customer as if they are the only one! We recently had a phone damaged, a Galaxy x5 with a cracked screen, and they took care of us well, even so far as loaning us a phone until ours was fixed. It turned out there was more damage than we anticipated, and we were not charged anymore than the original estimate. This business goes the extra mile to make sure we're taken care of. We will continue use Prestige for any future phone problems. read more

So, for Christmas, my son Tomas tried to buy me a new phone. The one I had was kind of a piece of junk and a lot of things didn't work on it. So he went to this awful place. The guy charged him $240 for a Samsung Galaxy S5. Which as we all know is way over priced. The first phone didn't work at all. So I qent and switched it for a phone I could use. This new phone only charges if it's held right, as I informed him to begin with. It also won't let me check my VM, it doesn't screen shot at all. And the sound cuts out. It was banged up pretty bad. Once again he agreed to switch it out for a new phone. I have the proof! Today after trying for almost 2 months, I go in to switch it our for the 14th time! Well he tries to blame all the issues on me and says he won't switch out as the phone won't charge! So now I'm out a working phone, my son is out $240. The only one who who made out was the Liar and theif Russ! How can one be so dishonest? My phone was paid to him on time and it got shut off for days. This place is awful! This guy needs to be shut down before he rips off anymore unsuspecting people. read more

I would give this place 0 stars if possible! At first I thought the owner was awesome and I was getting a good deal; however that's not how my situation turned out. My phone died and he said he could order me one - it was an older model, so I was happy that he could get it for me - for only $180. Well after only having the phone for about a week it started crashing. I called the owner and let him know what was going on since I had a 30 day warranty. He asked me if I wanted him to order a replacement phone or if I wanted a refund. I told him I was leaning towards a replacement but then he said he would need my current phone back BEFORE he was able to order me a new phone and that it would take over 2 weeks to get a replacement. I told him I would call him back and let him know exactly what I wanted to do. Well I ended up having my baby a few days later so I was unable to call him back until 2 weeks later. I went back into the store, I was still within the 30 days and he had already ordered a replacement. I told him I wanted a refund and restated what he had told me on the phone - that he needed my phone IN HAND before he could order the replacement - so he basically lied. He denied my refund and again lied, saying he never said I could have a refund. He did switch out my phone and gave me the replacement one, that I now have to sell because my husband had gone out and bought me a new phone since I was due to have my baby any day and he wanted me to have a phone.
