It was supposed to be serviced prior to delivery but only had an oil change. The rear tyres have less than 3mm tread but I was told anything under 3mm would be changed, I'm still waiting on a return call despite multiple attempts after 2 months. When I collected the vehicle they opened the showroom door and I drove it outside and waited 15 minutes thinking they would come out and go over the vehicle with me, no chance because they are not in the least interested. Go spend your money somewhere you will be valued, appreciated and not lied to.

It's a small operation, nothing fancy at all. A jet wash, small workshop, couple of jacks and a portacabin cafe. No-nonsense, fast service, no problem. Would use again.

I had an extremely unprofessional experience with J&H Autocare in Thornliebank and would not…read morerecommend them to anyone. I initially faced an issue with my Range Rover Evoque, which showed "restricted performance" and later a DPF warning. After asking for recommendations in a WhatsApp group with over 300 members, someone suggested Thornliebank Garage, but they referred me to J&H Garage instead due to being fully booked. I called J&H on Monday and secured an appointment for Wednesday. I dropped my car off at 9:30 a.m. that morning, but from the start, it was clear they were disinterested. James, the staff member I dealt with, was reluctant to even take my car, and once he finally accepted the key, the real frustration began. From Thursday onwards, I received zero updates. I repeatedly called for progress, but it was nearly impossible to reach anyone, and every time I did, I was told James would call back - which never happened. With the weekend approaching and no updates, my wife and I both called separately, only to be met with rudeness. James even questioned why we were "constantly calling" and seemed annoyed by the fact that we were concerned about our car. When I asked if I had a right to know what was going on, his response was dismissive, promising a callback with answers - yet again, nothing. On Friday, I was told the car hadn't been touched and was still in the same spot where I left it. Worse, they claimed it wouldn't start. I asked them to find the fault, and James, in a rude tone, insisted it wasn't their fault. I was at a loss - this is why the car was in the garage in the first place! By Monday, after another round of calls that went nowhere, I was told by James that they still couldn't identify the issue and it might be something major like the timing belt, and possibly thousands of pounds in repairs. This felt like a nightmare, so I decided to take my car to another garage. They said it wouldn't start, but when I arrived to tow it, the car started perfectly fine and I drove it away without any issues. In summary, after a whole week, they hadn't done any real work on my car. They were constantly "too busy" to give updates or even properly check the car. If they can't handle the workload, why accept new bookings? The entire experience was disrespectful, unprofessional, and a waste of time. 1/5 rating from me. I'll be sharing this experience with my WhatsApp group and other networks to warn others about J&H Autocare in Thornliebank.
