First time was for a repair they were fully booked but they managed to fit us in very last minute then because the job was so small they didn't even charge us labour there is a repeat customer straight away!! Second time was for our MOT. Unfortunately our car failed and on agreement they did our repairs. They even did it a little cheaper than quoted. Now for the amazing part is that they are super doggy friendly! When collecting my car I had my not so little dog with me they were so friendly with him allowed him right into the garage and he left with a full tub of biscuits in his stomach. I had the RAC looking at it and, as this was an RAC approved garage, I decided to book it. 1) I asked them to flush the cooling system: just remove coolant and then refill it. Something that is done for about £60,00. They held the van for three long days and, when they were done, they said they found two loose pipes and secured them with jubilee clips!!! As far as I know, today a quality garage will use spring-band-clamps to secure aircon tubes etc, especially on the Vauxhall Vivaro. When I collected the van I was charged £300,00 for the flush!!!! Everyone is shocked by this one!!! Nobody ever heard of such a fee for a coolant flush. I drove from the garage and in about 4 miles from the garage my engine started to smoke like it never did before. The engine overheated and I had to stop. I called them and they actually invited me back to the garage. I thanked them and very slowly took the vehicle to my house. No doubt, they did not just flush the engine. After my complaint was rejected by an email from the garage, and I did not receive a response from their registered address: Limetree Garage, Glasgow Road, Hamilton, ML3 0RA, I filed a lawsuit against Kerr-Tech Automotive Ltd, trading at Rutherglen. I showed-up 10 Minutes early, met Stewart, he drove my car into the Garage Bay, identified a Nail was lodged in the Tyre, then fixed that with a plug. He showed me the kit they use for this, and explained the procedure they used, which was both interesting and informative. This took maybe 15 Minutes in total. The charge was insignificant, and once again, I am 100% satisfied, and totally secure in the work Stewart carried out for me today. Halfords was closed on the bank holiday but apparently it's ok to leave your car in the carpark and stick the keys through the door (even though it says not to on the door). I got a call early on Tuesday morning to check what the car needed (a new drive shaft) and they quoted me just over £300 to get it done. I was worrying later that afternoon that I hadn't heard anything, and they weren't great at answering the phone. I got through about 4pm and they confirmed it would be ready in an hour. When I arrived, the car was ready to go and my payment was collected (bang on the quote he'd given me that morning). The guy was super friendly and helpful with good banter, and even showed me my broken drive shaft. I believe the parts come with a 12 month warranty as well. While Halfords isn't usually my garage of choice, I was pretty impressed with their speed, price and customer service.

But Tuga Garage is a place you can be confident knowing that your car will be looked after to the highest possible standard! The chap that runs this place is Bruno, a friendly and talented mechanic from Portugal. I've only been using him for about 6 months and discovered the place after some darn right rotten experience with other local garages. Its taken me a while to find someone I can trust, but this is definitely a place I am happy to award a 5 star rating too. The big difference I have found with Tuga is the customer service. Work has always been done in a timely manner and Bruno communicates with you well, letting you know how much parts are gonna cost and when he expects the job to be finished. Also, its the most spotless and well organised garage I have ever seen, so for a neat freak like me, this gets extra brownie points in my book :) Although Bruno is a specialist with Peugeot and Citroen, he is more than capable with any other makes. As an engineer myself and son of a retired mechanic (not to mention a bit of a petrolhead) I have been working on cars since I was waist high, so finding somewhere I trust completely is a tall order but John Brady's have managed just that. My first visit here was to have an MOT carried out where I found the garage staff to be pleasant and friendly. They also took some time to chat about my car and build confidence that they knew what they were talking about. Following visits for MOT's on both mine and my wife's cars have built a good, trusting relationship with John Brady's. When I used them to price some specialist tyres for my track car they were good enough to call around their suppliers and then price match my usual online supplier. I have found them to be very reasonable for normal road tyres for various cars now. I have also had some diagnostics and repairs carried out when I haven't had the time or tooling to do it myself and have found the pricing to be very fair. The well lit MOT bay and workshop are visible through the large windows in the reception area showing that they have nothing to hide (anyone who has been in a dim lit back street garage will know...). In summary - this is a friendly, trustworthy garage who will take the time to explain any work required and do it to high standards for fair prices. Give them a try.
