Steer clear! I had a…read moreproblem with my exhaust and took my car to another branch of Kwik Fit, but after having second thoughts decided to take it over to this branch, only a couple of miles away. However, after just a couple of minutes I ordered them to stop working on my car and left. Why? First, they couldn't find the problem even though I pointed to it. Second, they quoted me a price £60 more than their sister branch down the road. Third, the mechanic insisted the car was "on its last legs", despite being just five years old, and said he needed to take it for a test drive so he could identify all the problems with it. Here I was thinking a good mechanic would start by looking at the car, not driving it. The service was appalling, the staff were rude and quite frankly I'm not interested in hearing that a perfectly good car that consistently passes its MOTs and has been lovingly cared for needs to "go straight to the scrap yard". If you must use Kwik Fit, there's a branch in Kirkintilloch. Don't take your car to these cowboys.

I chose this tyre-fitting garage because I needed somewhere en-route to/from my work to get tyres…read morefitted. I'd ordered on blackcircles.com and this garage came up as one of their "Premier Garages" with a fiver discount over all the other garages in the area. What can I say? It's a small operation, nothing fancy at all. A jet wash, small workshop, couple of jacks and a portacabin cafe. No-nonsense, fast service, no problem. Would use again.

Honestly, if I could give this place 6 stars, I would. I first found it when I worked in East…read moreKilbride and occasionally detoured through Carmunnock if the bypass from Glasgow was closed for any reason. It was a real find - a small, local garage which believes in good customer service and won't rip you off. The guys who work here are always really friendly - if you just stop for petrol they even come out and fill up your car for you and they're always up for a chat and a laugh. But where I find them invaluable is all the little problems I've had with my cars over the years (I've had very bad luck when it comes to car tyres!) and the fact that they've always been honest, reliable and incredibly good value for money. One time I had a flat tyre, it was just the tyre valve and they charged me £5 to fix it. Another time, I had a nail in my tyre, it cost £10 to fix it. Another time I hit a pothole and buckled my wheel - rather than sting me for a new wheel, they recommended a local reconditioning place that would knock it back into shape for £20, which saved me a fortune. Even when I did need a new tyre, they have really reasonable prices and a new tyre from here cost me £40 (this was about 5 years ago now) when National Tyres wanted to charge me £70. I have no doubt at all that this place will not rip you off or charge you for work that doesn't need done and I can't recommend them highly enough - I will now drive from Shawlands past at least half a dozen other garages to take my car here.

So glad we came here (twice) recently instead of the local Ford dealer. Several people recommended…read moreKwik-Fit for servicing and, indeed, all repairs, not just for tyres. They also warned that the local Ford dealer was extremely expensive. We'd used Kwik-Fit in Wales and been extremely happy with them so it seemed a good idea to give them a try here. We first called in to have the fluid levels, and other things, checked before a long journey a couple of weeks ago. They spent quite a long time checking over the car and adding oil and various other fluids. We were amazed when they didn't charge us anything! Sowe came straight back here for the full service and MOT a couple of days ago. The bill came to exactly what was quoted beforehand, with no extras added. The car had its MOT and was serviced within the time stated and we were delighted with the friendliness and professionism of the staff, particularly John and Joe. Definitely recommended and we'll go back in future.
