Disorganized, Not Thorough, and Disrespectful - AVOID…read more This was hands down one of the most infuriating and disappointing experiences I've ever had with any service provider. Main points: Hired for hot tub leak and heating issues. Initially seemed promising. Entered my yard without notice. After the first time, I specifically requested notice because I have 3 large dogs. This was ignored during the second visit, putting my dogs and his workers at risk. Only one side of the tub checked despite clear request to inspect the whole thing. After follow-up, company was unresponsive, vague on scheduling, no-showed, and failed to notify before visits--again entering yard without warning. Discovered second leak; quoted $590 more, including a second service fee. I disputed this since full inspection wasn't done the first time. John, the owner, was rude, dismissive, and hung up twice--laughed at my feedback and ignored safety concerns, with zero accountability. I'm now stuck with unresolved issues and need to fix it myself or hire another company. My first text before their initial visit included images and videos: "I have a leak which appears to be coming from the front connector piece but I'd like that confirmed and look for any others. Its had a known small leak since I got it a couple years ago but it got a lot worse recently." We spoke on the phone and he explained the filter cycle settings, which was helpful. I felt good about the company going into that first visit. Ryan (technician) arrived on time but walked into my yard unannounced. I have three large dogs with access to the backyard, so I wanted to ensure they were inside. He was helpful, explained the heating issue, and repaired the main leak--but didn't check the whole tub. He said it would need to be filled and heated and offered to stay for a fee, but suggested that if more issues arose, I could just reach out and he'd return (no mention of additional charge). First visit was June 18. On June 23, I reported the tub might still be leaking; I was advised to monitor and photograph the water level. On July 4, water was still present on the patio--on the opposite side--and the tub's water level had clearly dropped. I texted again with photos. John told me "I'll probably be back out Monday. We'll keep you updated." I asked for a time and he said "Midday late afternoon depends on how the job prior to you run". Sunday I was told I was on the schedule. Monday morning, I sent: "Please knock or text me when you get here today so I can make sure the dogs are inside. Thank you!", to which I got no response. By 7:30pm I asked if they were still coming. At 9:30pm I was told they got tied up and would come Tuesday. I asked for a time; he replied "Thinking probably around 8 AM, but I'll confirm that in a couple minutes," which was never confirmed. Ryan arrived at 8am. Again, no knock or text--just walked into my backyard. When I brought it up, he said he was never told. He found the other leak and said John would call with a price. John quoted $590 more, including another $250 service charge. I was fine paying for the additional work and parts, just not another service fee since they didn't inspect the full tub the first time. John said to forget the service fee and that he'd tell Ryan to pack up, then rushed me off the phone and hung up. I later called back and calmly said I had feedback. He laughed and said "Oh this'll be good. Okay what is it?" and interrupted me repeatedly. I explained the lack of communication, my safety concerns with the dogs, and why I didn't agree with the second service charge. He kept justifying everything and said I wouldn't be able to find a better deal anywhere else--which wasn't even my main concern. He eventually got frustrated and said "okay we're done" and hung up again. I'm now left with a dismantled hot tub that still needs repair. Blatant disrespect, lack of communication, and terrible customer service. I honestly don't understand how they have any positive reviews if this is how the owner treats clients.

He's very knowledgeable and if I would maintain the tub as I should, there wouldn't be a problem. Will keep his number on speed dial for future issues as the tub is 21 years old. VERY PLEASED!!!!

If you watch the man work, its immediately clear that he knows what he is doing. And even though that knowledge and skill is how he makes his living, he was very good about answering questions I had; and even providing tips that would ensure that I would need his services less! I found his honesty and helpfulness refreshing, and after three years since his last visit, I'm hoping I can reach him again to fix a difficult-to-service leak. PS- I wrote this review for two reasons: 1.) because I was that satisfied by Spa Service's performance, and 2.) because the poor review from the Veterinarian below, in particular, annoyed me. It never ceases to amaze me how people can make emergencies of their own 'needs', but not feel a sense of urgency to pay the person that fixes the problem. To then have the audacity to give the business a bad review is shameful. Keep up the good work Spa Services, and give Shawn a raise--lol!

Jon was the tech, he called when they said he would, he showed up on time. Polite, friendly, professional, knowledgeable and WAY more reasonably priced than the other companies I called. Unfortunately, communication was poor from the start. It often took days to receive a response, and my installation date was pushed back multiple times. When he finally arrived, it was late in the afternoon with no prior communication. At that point, he said additional work needed to be done to the pool that had never been discussed beforehand. My husband told him that if the job was more than he wanted to take on, we would hire another company. Instead, he said he could make it work. He removed the old liner and left it in the middle of my yard. He then installed the new liner without properly leveling the pool bottom or removing rocks and debris. Before leaving, he placed a vacuum in the pool and told me it needed to stay for a few hours. He said he would return the next day to remove the vacuum, cut in the liner, and finish the installation. I pointed out several large wrinkles in the liner, and he assured me they would be corrected when he came back. He never returned. I reached out multiple times with no response. I had already paid the 10% deposit plus $800 in cash. When I finally did hear from him, there was always another reason he couldn't come back: his truck had broken down, he didn't have help, or the weather wasn't cooperating. Eventually, my husband had to finish the installation himself so our kids could use the pool for the summer. The liner still has numerous wrinkles, and we found sharp spots on the pool bottom that we had to correct ourselves to avoid damaging the new liner. I contacted him one last time asking him to either return and fix the installation or provide a refund. I never received a response. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. Poor communication, an incomplete installation, and a complete lack of follow-through left us finishing the job ourselves after paying for professional installation.

I had the area leveled, patio blocks installed, the base prepared, the ladder assembled, and everything ready for installation. Before all of that, John quoted me $1,450 to install my 21-foot Verona pool. Since he lives about an hour away, I tried to be respectful of his time. I repeatedly offered to FaceTime or talk on the phone so we could go over every detail before he made the drive. I even offered a 50% cash deposit and to pay the balance the same day the work was completed. Instead of communicating professionally, he became difficult to reach, ignored calls, and after everything was already prepared, suddenly wanted $2,000 instead of the price we had previously discussed. During our conversation, he hung up on me. What bothered me even more than the price increase was the complete lack of professionalism and respect. Good contractors communicate with their customers. They don't disappear, change pricing at the last minute, or hang up on people who are trying to hire them. I was ready to pay in cash, ready to start immediately, and treated him with respect from beginning to end. Unfortunately, I did not receive that same respect in return. Based on my experience, I would not recommend doing business with him.
