After realizing what I was missing, I reached out to Perry to help me with the components I needed to get it up and running. After quite a few trips, phone calls, and emails, Perry dialed in all the parts I needed to get it up and running. He is a consummate professional and very prompt in responding, and man, does he know Sundance Spas! His pricing is reasonable and he has great stock on hand for the necessary chemicals. I can't say enough about my great experience with G&G. Thanks Perry!

To this day, we go there to purchase our spa chemicals. G&G on Haley in SB gets 5 stars. For some weird reason, there are 2 different Yelp pages, depending on the G&G branch, so while the Haley branch is great and I gave it 5 stars, read below for my 1-star experience trying to buy a Sundance spa from the Goleta branch. We decided to purchase a spa last summer to replace our old Jacuzzi. We went to Haley first to check out the local spa businesses. The staff was great. Super helpful, knowledgeable. They didn't have a spa that really spoke to us, but they were so professional, we thought we'd check out the Goleta store. The Goleta store was a crowded, disorganized mess. Some of the spas had rain water puddled inside (and they were inside the store). Outside, a recent rain had damaged their canopy and no one seemed interested in cleaning it up. The only employee in the Goleta store at the time was just okay. Super low energy. We were the only customers in the store, so I took the initiative to get into a few (mostly) waterless spas and noticed some of the caps on the jets were missing. Oh yeah, he said. We would fix those. There were things like that... just messy details, like no one was really paying close attention to selling quality. We did find a Sundance spa in Goleta that we liked and asked for an estimate. We were given a verbal rough estimate and a catalog. I pressed upon the clerk that we were serioius buyers and that we wanted a spa installed in the next 2 weeks, before we had guests coming from Scotland. I provided my email address and was told he would send a firm quote in a day or two. As we left, I told hubby I would be surprised if we heard from him again. A week later and still nothing (and yes, I checked my spam folder), so I googled Sundance spas and called the next closest dealer about an hour south of SB. Turned out they were experienced at delivering Sundance Spas up here in Santa Barbara (that's interesting). They emailed me a written quote that same afternoon. We negotiated a few fine points (the step, the cover, the lift, the colors) and by the next day, I had given them a down payment. A week later, the company from down south did an incredible job removing the old Jacuzzi and installing the new spa using a crane OVER THE ROOF OF OUR HOUSE! Check out the pics I attached to the G&G Haley St. review of the installation. These guys were total pros! We love the new spa and couldn't be happier with our purchase. In all that time, still no follw up or quote from Gordon & Grant Goleta. To my surprise, about 4 months later, I received an email with a PDF attachment from Gordon & Grant Goleta from the guy who helped us. No message in the email, just an attached PDF. I attempted to open the PDF and thankfully, I was checking email from my phone, because it was clear he had been hacked and the PDF was just malware, which my iPhone blocked. It happened again about a month ago. Got the same email with no message and attached PDF malware from the Gordon & Grant Goleta guy. Deleted it. I want to reiterate that the staff and store on Haley totally seemed to have it together, but they didn't have any spas that we loved. It was the Goleta store that felt tired and lazy. Unfortunately (for them), I'm not that girl who is gonna chase down someone to buy a $14,000 spa from them.

Even if you don't know what you are looking for, Dennis, Claudia & their family will help you find it. They are so patient, knowledgeable and down-to-earth. You might see them at the home show, the fair grounds, or like me - at Costco! But wherever you see them, be sure to chat them up about their products, you'll be glad that you did. I love their no-pressure sales approach and the considerable amount of knowledge they are willing to share. They have everything from smaller two or four person models, right on up to a large swim spa for the whole family! They even have models that can cool the water to around 60 degrees! And let's face it, with Bakersfield's summer heat, that could make for one refreshing dip! This makes a swim spa or hot tub a serious competitor when considering installing a built-in pool. With it being cooler than your pool and less cost and maintenance. We had our tub installed in November of 2023 and I have to say, it's awesome! The team at Hot Tubs Plus delivered, installed it and set it up. The process was pretty easy and with the model that we decided on, maintenance is a cinch. The saltwater system that we added on is fantastic and really helps with my sensitive skin. We love our new spa and it's been an amazing addition to our outdoor living space.

It was more expensive but worth not having to hassle with an unknown. They sold the hot tub, they installed and set it up for him. He desired the same experience for us. Now, why the one star? Installers were late arriving to our home. Installers filled the tub, added a small amount of chlorine(they said) without the pump running. They did not add the startup packs or any other chemical. They would not modify the electrical outlet cover plate as they did at my sons. They said they could not. It is a small cut out of plastic at the bottom to allow the larger plug to fit. They left us with a plastic tub full of water and no chemical. We paid $750 for the move, $150 for the startup. We complained and they refunded $50. My son when he arrived 3 days later modified(cut an opening) in the electrical box, plugged it in. Tested when it was at temp, no chlorine present, other parameters were not near normal. He PH shocked the tank and added the necessary minerals. It is in parameters and operational. We will be able to use it for the first time tonight. 5 days after the "professional Local dealer install". Escalating to Claudia at the local branch was fruitless. She said they could not modify the plug as it was different than my sons. It was not. We would have had a better review if we hired laborors from the Home Depot parking lot. Less expectations = better results.
