Out of four nurses sent to my home, only one -- Danielle -- was excellent and professional. Nurse Yoshi dumped the contents of my VA pill box onto a table because I had missed two compartments, leaving me -- a patient with documented cognitive issues -- to individually identify and re-sort loose unlabeled pills. That is a patient safety incident, not a nursing visit. Nurse Krystal was openly arrogant and said to me condescendingly, "What, you can't fill up your own pill box?!?" I am a 100% Service-Connected Disabled Veteran. That is how she spoke to me. On my final visit today, Nurse Philippia showed me her tablet which had the completely wrong doctor listed as my physician of record -- someone with no connection to my care. She also had to come back five minutes after leaving because she forgot a required signature. I have filed formal complaints with the VA Office of Inspector General and VA Administration. Veterans deserve far better than this. -- Carl, Veteran patient

An inflamed muscle. I pulled something or pushed something wrong during a training run. And now after seeing Rena Bissessar and the people at Vissers Physical Therapy, I feel much better. Expertise, efficiency, humanity -- Vissers is the dream package for PT. Currently, I'm progressing through the care plan, doing the stretches at home, and having a few followups ... but then only for what is necessary. And that's incredible -- past experiences with PT have always been a bit more hit-or-miss and my own comprehension of what needed to be done to get better. And a lot of PT places felt like they weren't really looking to help, they were looking to bill my insurance. Not so with Vissers! I feel like they get the science of PT as well as the art of being able to explain to each individual how to do the work/exercises to feel better faster. No gimmicks. No upsells. Just real, honest, workable action plans to put you back on your feet. Do you want to get better? Do you want to *really* get better? Stop looking and call these people. Schedule your appointment as soon as you can because the sooner you call them, the sooner you will feel and actually be better.

What she needed was someone who could help her with the therapy she'd been expecting to do for her new knee, but who would also show her the patience and care she needed as she recovered from the unknowns following the second surgery at the same time. This could have been a real challenge, but the folks at Vissers have been invariably kind and caring. It's been a journey, to say the least -- and having good people beside you at every step is essential. This is what we got at Vissers. Everyone we've interacted with at Vissers has been lovely, but particular praise is due to my mom's individual therapist Rena Bissessar, who has pushed her when she needed pushing, been understanding with her when she needed understanding, and gotten her a long way in an astonishingly short time toward being back on her feet again. What a fantastic person! I genuinely can't recommend Vissers highly enough. Come here to get stronger and better.

They run safety checks on a regular basis and have multiple safety precautions in place for their guests. Gary, the Safety Director, is extremely knowledgeable and thorough. The facility also has comfortable waiting areas for your family or friends if you bring someone with you. Caution: HarborChase of Dr. Phillips Assisted Living…read more My parents lived here for 41 days (Aug 15-Sept 25, 2025). After I filed a complaint, the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) issued a 48-page Statement of Deficiencies citing failures including not following physician orders and medication-related deficiencies. These findings are public record. During those 41 days there were three Executive Directors (DJ, Tammy, and Heather). The Head of Maintenance (Luis) also left. When I moved my parents out, I confirmed a zero balance. Our sales agent had represented one free month. After move-out, Katherine Schachter (Regional Director of Operations) and Mark McBride (Chief Operating Officer) provided written assurances regarding credits and refunds. However, full billing statements were not provided until February 26, 2026 -- five months later -- After my parents had already moved out, we received two phone calls delivering the same recorded message from Heather (Executive Director) identifying by first and last name an Independent Living resident who had died by suicide. I reported this as a potential privacy concern. Based on our documented experience, I do not recommend HarborChase of Dr. Phillips Assisted Living. The response to my post is to contact HarborChase. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely concerning and unprofessional. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the staff lacked proper training and experience in administering IVs. I am in the healthcare industry and can confidently say that the individuals performing these procedures did not appear to meet the qualifications or follow the safety protocols required by Florida law. After paying close to $500 for two IVs, my blood pressure was recorded at 160/111, yet the staff proceeded with the IV. I specifically told the young woman not to use my left arm because it's difficult to find a vein there, but she ignored me and kept probing until she gave up. She then switched to my right arm, even though I told her I wasn't feeling well and needed to lie down. Despite my warning about using small veins for 25,000 mg of Vitamin C, she continued -- and shortly afterward, I lost consciousness. Paramedics were called, and I was transported to Dr. Phillips Hospital, where the nurse immediately noticed that the IV line placed by Vitalounge was still wide open. The nurse removed it right away, noting that leaving a line open like that could have led to a serious infection. I was hospitalized for three days. Throughout this ordeal, no one from Vitalounge ever called to check on my condition. When I reached out after being discharged to request a refund (since neither I nor my wife received the IV service), the person I spoke with refused to provide her name and declined to issue a refund. She only provided a generic email address for "corporate" and refused to identify any manager. This experience was unacceptable, unsafe, and unprofessional. I strongly urge the Florida Department of Health to inspect this facility. Patients deserve to feel safe and cared for -- not put at risk due to poor training and negligence. How can they keep the money for something they never did, or the patient or person received or obtain. To me that is called a scam or thief.
