I needed a down comforter cleaned and they did an excellent job. The price was reasonable and it was returned in a bag that I'm use for storing it for this winter. It smells fresh and is bright white. They also repaired my dogs bed. The hammock had come apart and they sewed it for me for a very reasonable price. Took our Hawks jerseys to here back in August as they needed cleaned before some pictures and since my fiance's jersey was a custom made, I was very nervous about just taking it anywhere in case it was ruined. Fast forward to last week as I had to drop a pair of his dress pants off and when I picked them up, they gave me back the one dollar bill they found in his pockets. Did a same-day survey of 3 cleaners - Prestige (Schick Rd), Bloomingdale (Lake Rd), and Old Town (Bloomingdale Rd). Each cleaner was given 5 men's shirts and 1 men's suit. Prestige was very accommodating with the pickup time. Very friendly people and didn't mind me asking questions - they do all their cleaning on site. They did an excellent job, no ring-around-the-collar, no pit smells, medium starch and the suit looked pressed, smelled clean, and just faintly of the chemicals. Prestige and Old Town's prices were similar, while Bloomingdale was $5 less. However, you get what you pay for, if you read that review. Would definitely return. read more

Given the fairly high ratings other Yelp reviewers offered Prestige, I decided to try it out for some tailoring I needed. Tailoring is a craft, and because of that, good tailors can be expensive. I must say that Prestige delivered with exceptional tailoring on three different items I had. The cost was on par with their work, but it wasn't overly expensive in my book. Here's the kicker though. In today's fast-paced world, I am surprised when I get great service...and even more so...business integrity. It appears I left $16 in one of my suit jackets. This is probably the best cleaners I've ever gone too. Its family owned and they are the nicest people and make it a very positive enviroment. Very different from other cleaners where they always make you feel hurried. I needed pants hemmed same day and they accomodated with no problem. My family and I have been going to Prestige for decades but this last experience left a very poor taste in my mouth and I will not be coming back. I needed alterations done on a dress for a wedding in two months time. I brought the dress to Prestige to ask the seamstress if she thought it was something she could do and she assured me she could. I was told to come back in two weeks. Two weeks later the dress was not done and I was told to come back next week. When I came back the next week the seamstress had done a rush job and made the dress worse than when I brought it in (smaller when I asked for it to be opened up, cup inserts had moved all the way up to my collar bones, buckling in the back, nothing to address the small arm holes when that was the main concern and reason for bringing the dress in) My mother, who is not a seamstress, had to explain basic sewing principles to the seamstress in order for her to understand how the dress needed to be fixed. When I came back a third time the dress was so small I couldn't even get my head through the hole. If this was a job the seamstress couldn't handle she should have said so, rather than butchering my dress and wasting my time. I am now out of time, money, and solutions to make this work for a wedding. I'm extremely disappointed. I love to support local and my family and I went out of our way to support them during COVID (having work clothes pressed, comforters washed, etc) only to be treated like this. read more

We just moved to the area and I needed a dress cleaned for my grad school graduation. I searched on yelp and found this establishment. I decided to give it a try. When I arrived the owner was talking to another customer and greeted him by his name. The other customer seemed like a regular & after their conversation ended said thank you and left-- you could tell he was pleased! This already made me feel at ease. I had a dress was deodorant marks that I needed cleaned bad! I asked the owner if he thought it would come out and he was honest and said if it is just deodorant it would be no problem but if perspiration had penetrated the fabric it may change the fibers and alter the car. He sounded like he knew his stuff! He was also so polite! He asked me when I wanted the dress and I was able to get a convenient pick-up date. My dress cost $8.95 to clean, which seemed fair to me. When I came back to pick up my dress it was perfect! Like new! The blue color seemed even brighter than when I dropped it off & the deodorant stains were gone! They did an excellent job. Came in to see if I could get myself measured for a tuxedo. The lady working there acted like she had no idea what I was talking about and practically refused to do so without directly saying no. Instead coming up with excuse after excuse until I left. I would've been willing to pay if it was that big of a deal. I had a rather pleasant experience here last time, but after this time I will certainly not give them my business in the future.
