I had to organize a BBQ for 325 graduating high school seniors and decided to use Tulip. It turned…read moreout to be a great decision. From the moment I first spoke with Vinny to when he checked in after the BBQ to see how everything went, every aspect of the process was flawless. The students loved the food, and the school administration team was impressed by the professionalism of the Tulip crew. Vinny worked closely with me to plan the perfect event, and his staff executed that plan to perfection. They were courteous, friendly, and worked amazingly well under pressure. When 325 hungry seniors came out for the BBQ, the Tulip crew was ready and able to serve them efficiently and with a smile. Great food, great people, and a great event. I would highly recommend Vinny and the Tulip crew for whatever type of catering event you may have coming up.

The sandwiches are unheard of, they have a vast variety of subs for breakfast, lunch, or dinner…read more I had a chicken cutlet with prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, and vodka sauce on a garlic hero. Very delicious and very, very filling. They don't skimp on the subs. It's $15 plus you get a mouth full and then you save the other half and fill on that later. Your choice. I tried to eat the entire sub but two bites out of the second half. I can't go no more; I can't go no more. The service is awesome and the cashier is very personable with stories and laughs. The other customers are very respectful and courteous. If I ever need to do a catering event, this is most definitely the place I will use. They know what they are doing here. I was stuffed, but not too much to... Inspire more, Yelp more!

My family were scheduled to get together to celebrate two of my daughters' and husband's birthdays…read more My daughters and their partners are from out of state. I was debating whether we should have their celebratory dinner in a restaurant or stay at home, be more comfortable; take our time and catch up. I opted to get catered food and thought of Prime Fine Catering. I ordered half trays of wonderful Italian food-- OMG, there was plenty for everyone(there were eight of us (half trays serve 8-12); second servings and still plenty to take home with them. The food was hot and ready to serve when I picked them up. We had a great time celebrating their birthdays in the comfort of our home. Great food; great company; opened gifts; ate cake ; sang Happy Birthday and ate more great food !!! I highly recommend this venue to anyone thinking of serving great delicious food. There are 28 pages of Fine Catering selections in the menu-- WOW !!! I will definitely be back in the future and will recommend this to family and friends. What can I say Henry.....THANK YOU VERY MUCH, MERCI, GRAZIE MILLE !!!

Susanne always responded quickly, answered our questions right away, and made everything feel easy and stress free. The venue was beautiful, with amazing skyline views, and the service was outstanding. One thing our guests especially appreciated was the variety of food options available. There were plenty of choices to accommodate different dietary needs and preferences, which made everyone feel included. The food was delicious. The chicken marsala, baby potatoes, broccoli rabe, and steak were all excellent and received many compliments from our guests. The drinks, atmosphere, and overall experience exceeded our expectations. We received so much positive feedback and many people commented that it was the best end of year event we have had. Thank you to Joe, Susanne, and the entire team for making it such a memorable celebration. We look forward to working with you again in the future.

That kind of sums up my experience at Thomasinas. I was invited to a celebration for a mentoring program. The banquet room was brightly decorated. I can see if there were no decorations that the space would be drab and likely somewhat dingy, but I thought the decorations present did a great job. The bathrooms were clean and smelled fresh. The design was dated but the fact that the bathroom was clean and smelled fresh was good enough for me. The food was actually pretty good. Smothered chicken was juicy and flavorful. Same for the smothered and sauteed steak with peppers and onions. The cornbread was bomb - more cakelike than breadlike but I like it that way. Buttery too. I really liked their stewed carrots. I say they were stewed since they were somewhat soft and chewy which I appreciated because carrots can be very tough and chewy when raw or lightly cooked. That said, would I come back? If invited? Sure. On my own? Probably not. The food was good, but not that good. The ambiance was nice but most of it as due to the decorations for the specific event. I can't see myself trekking all the way out to this part of Queens just for the full ambiance and pretty good food. The location needs to be slamming and/or the food need to be slap yo mamma good. Which in the case of Thomasinas, it ain't.
